There should be more to a movie than choreography and CGI. Things like story telling, characters that develop, and cinematography used to matter. Millennials are entertained by the cinematic equivalent of a paint-by-numbers kit. The prices they're willing to pay are just as stupid. When I was in my 20s, a ticket for a 2 to 3 hour live concert cost about 3 hours of pay.

(It did tell a story and there is character development…just not dramatic on character development) This movie is just not for you than and that’s okay
Since they’re making a 5th movie, they gotta bring back all of John’s old friends/allies/rivals. I want Caine (Donnie Yen), Cassian (Common), Sofia (Halle Berry), Aurelio (John Leguizamo), The Adjuticator, the Doctor from Ch. 1 & 3, the twin assassins from Ch. 3, and more to be part of the High Table War
The Tracker is my favorite character. His a Bount Hunter, GunSlinger, has a cool Devcore Backpack, Custom Marlin Rifle, and he has a dog who he cherishes. I'm so happy they both survived.
This movie was crazy in theaters (saw it on the first full opening day). The dragon's breath scene with the aerial drone footage was especially awesome.

I saw this in the movie theater when it came out, I went with my mom. When John Wick fell from the steps I laughed so hard but my mom told me to stop because it was sad. she felt so sorry for him, after all the hard work to be pushed like that. I still think it's the funniest sh*t ever. Loved your reaction.

Honestly, my favorite part of the movie was that whole top-down sequence, where John was blowing everybody away with the exploding shotgun rounds. I couldn't stop laughing through that whole bit. 🤣 Seriously though, I also liked Caine's motivation for helping John get to the duel on time, because he understood what was at stake. After all, that whole agreement he made with the Marquis was contingent on his participation in the duel. If John had been declared in forfeit, the Marquis would have had no reason to keep his word and he would have reneged on the deal. So, win, lose or draw, that duel had to go down. It was the only way Caine could guarantee his daughter's safety (if not necessarily his own).
The reason behind Koji's sacrifice besides his code of honor of brotherhood is the fact that he KNOWS that he and his daughter will be chased after by the high table for the treason of helping John Wick. It's the reason why when Caine said, "take care of your daughter" Koji responded with "I AM." Him & his daughter know that Winston's concierge Charon was killed as a consequence. Don't forget, HIS DAUGHTER AKIRA IS HIS CONCIERGE!!
Holding your shot, while letting yourself get shot was a legit tactic in pistol dueling. Most people wouldn't get a killshot when quick drawing; if you tank the first hit you can take all the time you want to aim and line up a lethal shot.
There’s other action movies with better writing and acting and choreography. This movie is is great but it’s not the best, and John Wick 5 has been confirmed.
The woman who plays Akira is Rina Sawayama, a British-Japanese singer (this is her first movie role). She sang a song for the movie, called "Eye for an Eye". It's a banger.
This movie was so much fun and so entertaining! I enjoyed the story and the fights were beautiful. I think my favorite fight tho was Caine (Donnie Yen’s character) and Shimazu Koji (Hiroyuki Sanada’s character) fight. I loved the showcase of both their skills in such amazing and precise movements. They went beat for beat and both of the styles they were going for shined a lot, also the emotional aspect of it was pretty great too. Two fathers fighting to protect their daughters and a friend wanting to protect another friend and his honor dies. I enjoyed it a lot
absolutely love this film and franchise! excited for the continental prequel coming out this year and the ballerina movie(takes place in between john wick 3 and 4) coming out next year. There is so much to explore in the John Wick world
If John Wick 5 isn’t John fighting demons in hell to get to heaven so he can be with his wife then it won’t make sense for a 5th movie because he’s dead.

The Osaka scene is so good and deep (people don't realize the political background). It would be perfect if John was rescued to there as it now seems that John brought his trouble there for no reason. Remember in JW1, John took the trouble to go back to revenue his sniper friend but now, he just took the train.

1) The opening scene's dialogue is from Dante and is Lucifer warning of hell. John isn't getting metaphorically sent into hell--metaphorically, the doors to the place where he was training were the gates of hell, and the Bowery King was sending him from there at their common enemies. 2) If you notice the Harbringer's finger, this is likely what was planned for Wick if he killed Winston in the last movie. The ultimate weapon of the high table, sent to destroy their enemies. 3) Killa is played by Scott Adkins in a fat suit. He's actually an EXTREMELY skilled martial artist who has done a number of movies, but most of his career has been in stunt and fight scene choreography and training others. It's good to see him in a top release movie (in front of the camera). 4) Those aren't just incendiary shotgun rounds--those are Dragon's Breath rounds, which fire chips of magnesium that burn at very high temperatures and are illegal in most places because they stick to skin and create horrific burns. 5) You're right about this resembling a video game at some points. Wick is basically the Doom Slayer in this movie. He doesn't speak, he mows through enemies and takes their guns for ammo, and he is simply too angry to die. 6) Nobody knows if this means anything, but it is interesting to note that John was shot in the two places that he shot the doctor in during the 3rd movie. He could very well still be alive.

at first i thought when john was fighting killa that he would take his inhaler as proof but then realized that hey he could lie, go to the nearest CVS and steal his prescription. and i would of died if the duel turned out to be a card battle between John WIck(Yugioh) and the Marqui(Seto Kaiba).

They said this happened all in a span of 2 weeks. So John Wick has been fighting this whole time for two whole weeks with broken bones and wounds and all that. Some say he has some healing factor and I believe it. The series is insanely good and there is a rumor for a part 5. Might mean John is not really dead. I think if they are i nfact making a game, they should make the game a prequel and tell the story about how he became an orphan, got adopted by the Ruska Roma, his training and missions to become the feared assassin as we know him today. And make JW5 a sequel; could even make it set a couple of years in the future instead of right after JW4
I was about to say that the idea of a fifth movie was scrapped while filming the 4th one, but I just googled, it was indeed confirmed like a day ago, that's dope And btw, I actually think he is alive. If I remember correctly, Winston said something about John Wick being dead. The assassin version or life of his, could be indeed dead, and Jonathan the man, could be alive somewhere, just living a quiet life. They just had to make the assassin world believe he's dead so he can be at peace, far away from all the chaos
Since you mentioned Australian shows I wanna recommend two that I haven't watched yet but I know they're great. Wilfred and Mr. In-between They're highly regarded but not too mainstream. You don't need to react to them if you don't want to but I recommend looking them up.
There's no way those assassins don't know that John was supposed to challenge a member of the high table so everyone that accepted that low bounty on John's head is a trash person. Also John falling down all of those stairs over and over again seems so unrealistic.

There's no way those assassins don't know that John was supposed to challenge a member of the high table so everyone that accepted that low bounty on John's head is a trash person. Also John falling down all of those stairs over and over again seems so unrealistic.
