The Game Awards needs to make a new award for Best Remake/Remaster.
Black Myth Wukong is gonna be a strong GOTY contender and I'm thinking that Sparking Zero could end up being the best fighting game of this year

Sparking Zero is the game I've been most hyped for in a very a long time, been playing Dragon Ball games since Budokai 1 on GameCube, and when I got a ps2 and played Budokai Tenkiachi series as they came out it was my favorite gameplay style for Dragon Ball. I'm so thankful the series is continuing. October needs to hurry up
No matter what comes out it has to be Rebirth!

Right now i think the GOTY is FF7REBIRTH, maybe Dogma 2 on RPG and Helldiver 2 on multiplayer and community.
Astro i love it but i feel this type of game has a hard because how they look, like Family or child games. I think Wukong will definitely could be GOTY material if delivers. Path of Exile 2 on RPG if manage to release on time.
Stellar Blade deserves to be nominee but maybe not winner.

I agree with Dragon Age being a contender. The prior instalment was GOTY. IF they get it right, this can be awesome, but mis-steps are also possible. Hope it's the former. Also worth reiterating that GOTY is not decided by The Games Awards. Some years their GOTY pick went to games that were not the actual GOTY (they incorrectly picked Sekiro and Overwatch for example).

To me, Deck Nine and the Life is Strange games continued Telltales legacy. I would love for it to win goty. People always say that all that matters is gameplay. “The story can suck, but if the gameplays good then idc”. I feel the opposite. All I need is a good story. These games are the Soulikes of story games imo and that’s why I like them.
Wukong is my front runner prediction for GOTY
Then go play FF7 Rebirth.
@@Ukaran the funny thing is I’ve been playing Rebirth on and off since it came out currently in Nibel Region so I’m almost there. I honestly don’t think it’ll be GOTY though. Despite undeniably being one of the best games ever made technically, there are aspects of the game that are divisive and can distract a general gamer from the quality aspects. In retrospect, Remakes linearity and conciseness was to its benefit. All the mini games and repetitive world intel content arguably kills the immersion in the story and world over all

@@Drequan the trailers have shown us everything we need to see in order to know the SH2 remake is going to be awesome AF especially the most recent trailer (its not my fault that haters have standards so high that they can't be satisfied with anything) and the same goes for Double Exposure

@@Drequan i've seen a bunch of videos that express excitement for SH2 and Double Exposure plus i've seen many people excited for both games on other social media platforms so don't act like concern far outweighs excitement (and you have no idea how old i am i could be 68 for all you know)

With all of the talk about how Avowed will be about the same leghty and girth as the outer worlds. it's going to be a VERY VERY mediocre game. Not good, but not bad.
Zelda is a stronger GOTY contender than the ones here tho, don't overlook it. Also, remakes that are 1:1 with their originals don't get nominated, like never. Only semi-remakes/reboots like the RE and FF ones can be nominated.
