  • Ep032. This time, Take-san is making Dashi maki Tamagoyaki omelet. Dashimaki tamagoyaki is an omelet made with eggs and Japanese white dashi broth. This time, he will use white dashi stock granules to easily make a dashi maki omelet. In the process of cooking, you will also understand how to use a flying pan for Japanese rolled omelets. Please refer to it if you like.
    [Simple Recipe]
    Prepare the ingredients.
    1. Mix two eggs well.
    2. Add the white dashi stock. Usually, white dashi is made from dried bonito flakes and seaweed, but this time, commercial granulated Japanese dashi stock is added to make hard Dashi maki. If you want to make a softer Dashi maki, add liquid white dashi to adjust the hardness to your liking.
    3. Bake the Dashi maki omelet.
Bake the Dashi maki omelet in this square pan.
Start by spreading the Dashi maki omelet batter thinly over the entire surface. Use chopsticks to break up any air bubbles.
Roll the Dashi maki omelet with the chopsticks while lifting the pan.
When the Dashi maki omelet comes to the front, slide the cooked Dashi maki omelet to the front of the pan.
Repeat the previous step until your favorite thickness.
    4. Adjust to Your Favorite Shape
    5. When the Dashi maki omelet is cooked, place a piece of plastic wrap on top and put it and shape it on top using Makisu.
    6. Shape it into a square or cylinder shape as desired and cool it until room temperature.
    7. Preparing the toppings Daikon radish
During the cooling time of the Dashi maki omelet, prepare the topping Daikon radish. Peel and grate the radish.
    8. Finish.
Dashi maki omelet can be eaten as is or as. You can eat it in many ways, such as adding vegetables or other ingredients to the roll, using it as an ingredient in sushi rolls, or adding it to the soup.
It is easy, delicious, and takes about 15 minutes to make. Why don't you enjoy Dashi maki omelet?
Thank you for watching. See you next time.
