That’s another one of the fun aspects of chasing and being able to see those minute details. For the record though, the ID was Q442, not Q452. 52 is Miami to Waycross freight, 42 is the Tampa one.
Awesome catches! I also went railfanning @ the Brunswick Railroad Days on October 2 and the highlights were; K676-30 with CN power, N788-29 with 969 (Equipped with a K5HLA) leading, a YN2 GP38-2, and more.
Daily trains are as follows Q442 (Tampa to Waycross Freight) Q441 (Waycross to Tampa Freight) I046 (Tampa to Jax Intermodal) I045 (Jax to Tampa Intermodal) Amtrak P091 (Southbound Silver star) Amtrak P092 (Northbound Silver Star) Those are all of the daily trains. The rest are as follows. I144 (replaces the I046 symbol on sundays) I145 (Replaces the I045 symbol on Saturdays) O709 (Local Switcher) Monday - Friday O708 (Local Switcher) (Sunday - Friday) O710 (Local Switcher) Monday - Friday The rest can vary. Ethanol trains, very sparse, but existing coal trains, and the occasional reroute can also be seen from time to time. All of the daily runners though (With the exception of Amtrak), aren’t gonna be seen through town until the sunset hour and beyond. Hope this helps!
@@kotabeaner Oh this helps 100% I appreciate this info! I'm new to the area, and trying to get my bearings of the region's train activity. The S line above Vitis Jct does capture my attention. I also want to hang around Winston and Edison Junction. Not sure what runs in the above spots.
This goes hard. EMD Pacing is the best experience for a railfan. 💯
OMG DAKOTA THE PACING SCENE GOES HARD
I love it when the engines of the Q452 bounce to the beat like they got hydraulics!

Cool chase of 4535. Those rebuilt Macs are definitely a nice change from all the other gevos we get on CSX

I need to come down! Hope to meet you there maybe next year!

Thank Ya! That sounds like a good ol’ time!
I went on the third and PO30 had 130 leading
LOVED the pacing shots!!!
Hated that I missed Plant City Railfest!
Eh don’t feel too bad, there really weren’t many trains, a bunch of people, but there’s always next year!! I do too enjoy those pacing bits😎
Great video
Ahh thanks Nick💯
Good video thanks from Arizona
Thanks to ya from Florida
You gonna be in Plant City for National Train Day next week?
Perhaps. I’d like to get out, of course, but I have no idea where I might go. I can’t guarantee Plant City will be on the list.
@@kotabeaner Oh ok
@Kotabeaner I plan on being there
Awesome job keep up the awesome work
Nice Dakota!

Do you know when the 2023 railfest is?
Unfortunately, I do not. If I hear or find out a date, I’ll try to update on that.
Hey Dakota, I caught Amtrak 160 on Sunday, and one of the guys there before he passed told me Q144 is no long Q144. It is now I144, is this true?
Pretty neat, I actually also managed to snag him at mango on Sunday. Yes, as of October 18, all intermodal symbols have switched from Q to I.
Does anyone have current train symbols/count that run daily through Plant City?
Daily trains are as follows
Q442 (Tampa to Waycross Freight)
Q441 (Waycross to Tampa Freight)
I046 (Tampa to Jax Intermodal)
I045 (Jax to Tampa Intermodal)
Amtrak P091 (Southbound Silver star)
Amtrak P092 (Northbound Silver Star)
Those are all of the daily trains. The rest are as follows.
I144 (replaces the I046 symbol on sundays)

O709 (Local Switcher) Monday - Friday
