    So beautiful as always!
    I have a wishlist for videos. One day you can show us how to hand hem. What stitches to use and how far apart they are sewn. Ive always been nervous to hand hem...every time Ive tried it comes out after a while.
    If you do a sway back adjustment in the future, please show us how you hack the pattern.

      I posted my comment before I finished the video. Hehe. So glad you're planning a sway back for a future video.
      You are just the very best!

    Oh My Goodness the dresses are beautiful, but I was getting distracted from the gorgeous scenery behind you. 🌸🌸🌼 I live in the US in the state of Wisconsin. Today everything is closed due to snow storm.

    Your whole family are full of gorgeous people!!! Thank you in advance for the upcoming topic of sway back adjustment! Will get the dress with your affiliate link and extra discount! I still want you to show at least 1 top or pant for your dad to inspire me to sew for my tall teen boys! Love the garden too!

      Oh that’ll be a super hard request to fill because they don’t welcome the photographs or being filmed at all. I have some older videos on the channel where I made the Quadra jeans for my dad and my husband.

    Ooo I love the swayback suspense! I have definitely taken your advice into consideration and have added a centre back seam (if there are no CBs on the back pattern piece of a top or dress and I have had better success with fitting my back area. Thank you for the reminder that the Tessa Sheath Dress has a bodice that can be mashed up with other patterns as well. I love how your sister-in-law lights up whenever she is in a Karina-made garment! Who wouldn't though they all are amazing!

    I just bought this pattern using your link and discount code. I have been wanting a dress like this, already have the fabric, was going to try to draft a pattern based off of a RTW dress I love. This is a much better option for me. Your dresses look lovely, the blue one for your sister in law is stunning on her.

    I would love to see how you hand sew the hem. I have not sewn a dress for myself in a lot of years and always did it by hand as that was how we were taught . Do you use hemming tape , raw edge or turned under. Thanks for your help 🥰

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  2 года назад +2

      I usually just serge the edge and fold the hem up and slip stitch. No special fancy type of stitch. I’d only fold up twice for silk or chiffon.

    Your dresses all turned out so beautiful! I’ve been waiting for this re-release. Thank you for suggesting to sew then press open the seams. I’m planning on use a stretch suede scuba that is in the heavier side and that will be so much better. You look so happy, you must be enjoying your trip😊

    You mentioned in this video that you’d be making another one about doing sway back adjustment. I see this video was made one year ago but I’m still not able to find the other one about sway back adjustment. Did you ever end up making that video.? Can you help me find it? Thanks Karina!

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  Год назад

      I need to find a pattern that requires me to do the adjustment so I can show the príngalo vs the improvement. It’s on my long list. I am a one woman team and it takes me a long time.

    Hello, why can’t we use a woven fabric? Can’t I just cut the pattern a little bit bigger to compensate for the non stretch factor?

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  2 года назад

      You really can’t. The pattern has negative ease and that’s not just for the circumference. The armhole/neckline just won’t fit right with a woven. If you like a fitted dress in woven, it’s better to look for a pattern originally designed for woven… you need darts and a zipper too.

    That looks like a straight stitch foot. You’re able to do a shallow zigzag with it? I’d like to try it.

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  2 года назад

      It’s a regular foot. The width of the zig zag is only 0.5, so it’s almost like a straight stitch.
