Thank you again for sharing your love and knowledge of sewing for all types of bodies. I can tell that your sister in law loves her new dress It fit her perfectly.
So beautiful as always! I have a wishlist for videos. One day you can show us how to hand hem. What stitches to use and how far apart they are sewn. Ive always been nervous to hand hem...every time Ive tried it comes out after a while. If you do a sway back adjustment in the future, please show us how you hack the pattern.
Oh My Goodness the dresses are beautiful, but I was getting distracted from the gorgeous scenery behind you. 🌸🌸🌼 I live in the US in the state of Wisconsin. Today everything is closed due to snow storm.
You can see how much your sister-in-law loves that dress! She looks stunning after 3 babies!!! Your dress turned out fantastic and loved the shoes. You always find such lovely prints. Thanks for all your help with your sew close and personal. Lots of things I’ve forgotten in the 30 years I didn’t sew!
Love your backgrounds at your family’s. Your fitting series is fabulous and the work you put into it is really appreciated. I recommend it to others frequently!
Love your makes. I ordered the pattern through your link. Thank you for all the work you put into your channel. I watch several sewing channels and you are my favorite. I wish you a wonderful time visiting with your family.
Your whole family are full of gorgeous people!!! Thank you in advance for the upcoming topic of sway back adjustment! Will get the dress with your affiliate link and extra discount! I still want you to show at least 1 top or pant for your dad to inspire me to sew for my tall teen boys! Love the garden too!
Oh that’ll be a super hard request to fill because they don’t welcome the photographs or being filmed at all. I have some older videos on the channel where I made the Quadra jeans for my dad and my husband.
Your explanation for this dress is fantastic. It gives me confidence to make it, along with your tutorial for all the different options. I’ve just purchased this patten using your link & can’t wait to give it a go. Thank you for sharing. 😊🎄
Thank you for such great content. You are so helpful with all your tips and tricks. I have learned a lot from you. Just purchased the sheath dress with your link. You’re gorgeous 😊
Ooo I love the swayback suspense! I have definitely taken your advice into consideration and have added a centre back seam (if there are no CBs on the back pattern piece of a top or dress and I have had better success with fitting my back area. Thank you for the reminder that the Tessa Sheath Dress has a bodice that can be mashed up with other patterns as well. I love how your sister-in-law lights up whenever she is in a Karina-made garment! Who wouldn't though they all are amazing!
I just bought this pattern using your link and discount code. I have been wanting a dress like this, already have the fabric, was going to try to draft a pattern based off of a RTW dress I love. This is a much better option for me. Your dresses look lovely, the blue one for your sister in law is stunning on her.
I already purchased the Tessa a while ago but have not made yet. I love to see your makes for suggestions.. Thanks for the coupon code for future purchases! Good to know! :-)
I would love to see how you hand sew the hem. I have not sewn a dress for myself in a lot of years and always did it by hand as that was how we were taught . Do you use hemming tape , raw edge or turned under. Thanks for your help 🥰
Your dresses all turned out so beautiful! I’ve been waiting for this re-release. Thank you for suggesting to sew then press open the seams. I’m planning on use a stretch suede scuba that is in the heavier side and that will be so much better. You look so happy, you must be enjoying your trip😊
You mentioned in this video that you’d be making another one about doing sway back adjustment. I see this video was made one year ago but I’m still not able to find the other one about sway back adjustment. Did you ever end up making that video.? Can you help me find it? Thanks Karina!
I need to find a pattern that requires me to do the adjustment so I can show the príngalo vs the improvement. It’s on my long list. I am a one woman team and it takes me a long time.
You really can’t. The pattern has negative ease and that’s not just for the circumference. The armhole/neckline just won’t fit right with a woven. If you like a fitted dress in woven, it’s better to look for a pattern originally designed for woven… you need darts and a zipper too.

I posted my comment before I finished the video. Hehe. So glad you're planning a sway back for a future video.
You are just the very best!
Lovely placement of the print on the front of your dress.

I love the background. Nice garden
Beautiful dresses! I bet she loves it!!
She does! It makes me really happy :)
Both your versions are beautiful. I love this pattern and am excited about this rerelease.
Thank you so much 😀😀
Both dresses are gorgeous Karina. Very excited about the discounts

I usually just serge the edge and fold the hem up and slip stitch. No special fancy type of stitch. I’d only fold up twice for silk or chiffon.
So classy!!!

I think sewing methods can change according to fabric choice for sure and seams pressed open lay flat and neat 😀
Beautiful dresses!

Hello, why can’t we use a woven fabric? Can’t I just cut the pattern a little bit bigger to compensate for the non stretch factor?
You really can’t. The pattern has negative ease and that’s not just for the circumference. The armhole/neckline just won’t fit right with a woven. If you like a fitted dress in woven, it’s better to look for a pattern originally designed for woven… you need darts and a zipper too.
That looks like a straight stitch foot. You’re able to do a shallow zigzag with it? I’d like to try it.
It’s a regular foot. The width of the zig zag is only 0.5, so it’s almost like a straight stitch.
What do you use to stabilize the fabric
👍🌹
