What a great LBD (Little Blue Dress). It’s the kind of dress I would wear to a holiday party. The striped dress looks very versatile. And the floral dress is gorgeous. It’s amazing how the three different fabric choices makes such a difference in whether the dress is more casual vs business vs dressy.
Oh my, this goes to show that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. My mom tried to teach me that when I first learned to sew. Testers really prove how true this is! 💗
Thanks for the inspiration Whitney! I have the pattern already so happy to hear that the updates will fall into my download going forward. I love them all but the blue is my choice of neutral too, navy all the way baby! Thanks again!
There's my striped fabric! I love the dress on you! The others are great too. Such a flattering style for everyone. Thank again for all of your inspiration Whitney.
Don’t you just LOVE when a pattern comes with so many wonderful options that you can make three dresses from it and they all look entirely different? I purchased the Tessa when it was introduced and hacked it into submission to fit my body. Now, I can just reprint it with the new fitting features and I’m golden! All three of your renditions look fantastic, Whitney, and what fabulous fabric choices!!!
Hi Whitney, Catherine from New Zealand. This dress looks so great on you, the silhouette perfectly enhances your shape. Its not about 'disguising' anything but about accentuating the best bits. I know you are disappointed with your allergy body right now but this dress truly makes your figure look flawless. Thanks for that snippet of info about the stripes not matching above the full bust/dart line. I'm working up the courage to try some pattern matching and the pattern going out of whack under the arm there is just the kind of thing that would make me think I'd mucked it up and get all forlorn. Now, when I actually attempt pattern matching, I'll remember that great piece of knowledge. Thank you. Love your work and I continue to watch regularly.
Great lip today. This would be a fun sew along for those of us who enjoy simpler garments. Would you ever consider adding the waist tie hack shown on the LN site? Have a great afternoon.
Oh my goodness, I need a sewing friend. My husband just does NOT appreciate a good stripe match. Good on ya!! Also, going to get this pattern! Thanks for sharing.
Great dresses! I just used the original Tessa with the LN blog hack from the Island Sewcialist to make a crushed velvet dress for my daughter's semi-formal winter Dance. It worked great! Looking forward to the new version.
I am so anxious to make this dress. I have a full hourglass figure, 5' 1", so am hoping will work. And, I meant to make mention, I also named my dress form. Her name is Sylvia, named after my dear mother.
I love that! Sylvia is a great name for a dress form! Go have a look at the tester versions. Kiera from The Island Sewcialist has an hourglass figure and she did a couple of amazing versions!
I really love the solid blue one. It's a wow! I am excited for this rerelease. I've been waiting anxiously and have my fabric waiting. Too bad I have other projects to do first.
It will make a perfect LBD. While my hips do put me in a smaller size, I find the extra room there just helps to balance my bust so I don’t mess with it. This is a size medium with the full bust front and I just shorted the body 2”.
So excited for this pattern re-release! I’ve had it for over a year but have never made it. I have a gorgeous stretch suede in a teal from Stylemaker fabrics I’ve been holding onto for this pattern. I love all of yours but that stripe is adorable! You wear it well😊. Now just waiting on the Terra Tunic 😁

I agree! The blue dress is really going to do some heavy lifting in my wardrobe!
Wowzer! That “little black dress” - smokin 🔥. You have now changed the definition of it!!!
That's so kind! Thank you so much!
Love, love, love the stripe one. Have you ever done a video on how to match stripes? If not, would you consider doing one… please and thank you 😀
Yes! I tried on the Laundry Day Tee and they look like an arrow on the side. They match but not exactly what I intended.
I can definitely do a pattern/stripe matching video!
Oh my, this goes to show that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. My mom tried to teach me that when I first learned to sew. Testers really prove how true this is! 💗
It is so true. I love looking at all the tester versions of a new (or rereleased) pattern!
Thanks for the inspiration Whitney! I have the pattern already so happy to hear that the updates will fall into my download going forward. I love them all but the blue is my choice of neutral too, navy all the way baby! Thanks again!

I love it so much! Thank you for selling it 😉. You'll be seeing the other two very shortly!
Love them all. The little shorter length of the striped one is very flattering, but all of them look great.
Thank you so much!
Guuurrrl, that blue dress is to die for and you are wearing it well! Luv it❤
Aww! Thank you so much!
I hoped that it was the tessa. I'm dragging my feet for while to sew one but I need a full bust so yeah. 👏
Me too! Downloaded that update right away, may have to spring for that Stylemaker ponte...now...what color?
I was dragging my feet for the same reason. You definitely should make one now!

Thank you so much! I've also owned the Tessa for quite a while, but hadn't made it up. It was worth the wait!
I really like the way ponte fabric sits on the body.
It really does skim well!
Love all the dresses...that blue is so stunning on you!
Thank you so much!

I'm so glad that tip was helpful! It's definitely something I remember getting me hung up!
I like the blue best. Very elegant. Thanks!
Thank you so much!
What an amazing pattern, I love all of your fabric choices and the style is so flattering on your figure.
That's so kind! Thank you!

I can definitely ask Tami if she'd mind if I did a sew along on the channel.
Don’t have a favorite! This is just a great pattern for you :) Thanks Whitney, and have a great weekend!
Thank you! I love this pattern on me as well. I have a feeling this will become a TNT!
Oh my goodness, I need a sewing friend. My husband just does NOT appreciate a good stripe match. Good on ya!! Also, going to get this pattern! Thanks for sharing.
😂 sewing friends are the best for that reason alone!

I bet that looks amazing!
Thanks for the fun review. Loved all 3 dresses you made with this pattern. The full bust option did it for me, bought the pattern :)
Yep! The full bust option is the kicker for me as well!
Just love the dresses. They look great on you.
Thank you so much!
LBD = Little Blue Dress! Love it ❤️
😂 I love it!
Love the blue one, nice pattern.
Thank you!
Love all three dresses-but my favorite is the striped one!! That one looks exceptional on you!! Very nice! :+)
Thank you so much!
@@TomKatStitchery You are most welcome!! :+)
Love the navy one . Very chic .
Thank you so much!
It looks wonderful and complimentary for many figures and levels of skill.
It's a really great, and easy to sew, pattern!
Gosh the blue dress with the red shoes is amazing! Looks like you're all ready for any occasion with these 3 options of the Tessa Sheath dress
It really is a versatile pattern!
Very flattering dresses
Thank you so much!
Super great dresses!!! I’ll will be purchasing (my husband thanks you. lol)
Oh good! It was such a fabulous price!
Wow You look amazing in those dresses :)
That's so kind! Thank you!
Beautiful dresses.
Thank you so much!
Your dresses are gorgeous especially the navy one. You look slim and elegant in it.
Thank you! I have a feeling the blue one is really going to get worn a ton!

Terrific Dresses!!!
Thank you so much!
Love This❣ This dress flatters your figure to the highest degree. Excellent fit❣
Thank you so much!
Love it!! Purchasing now!
Oh good!
All of your makes look great on you! My favorite is the navy.
Thank you so much!
Wow, I have the pattern and haven't made it up yet. I must rectify that. That navy dress looks so beautiful on you.
Definitely! The modifications she made the pattern made it even better!
Great pattern and price! I just bought it. Thanks for sharing your makes!
My pleasure!
I really love the solid blue one. It's a wow! I am excited for this rerelease. I've been waiting anxiously and have my fabric waiting. Too bad I have other projects to do first.
Oh good! It's such a great pattern!
Thanks for a great video!

❤️❤️❤️
Very flattering but the first and third one dip at tithe front hemline? The back is definitely higher.
I used the full bust front and the front hemline is a bit longer in center front to accommodate the larger bust.
@@TomKatStitchery Oh . that’s a poor design isn’t it.
@@carolhughes312 I’m right on the cusp of needing the FBA fronts, so that extra length probably gets taken up with most of the fuller busts.
I am going to purchase this pattern to make a LBD! I am curious if you blended your size down for your hips?
It will make a perfect LBD. While my hips do put me in a smaller size, I find the extra room there just helps to balance my bust so I don’t mess with it. This is a size medium with the full bust front and I just shorted the body 2”.
Great dresses!
Thank you so much!
Do you know whether the Arlington puff sleeve could be substituted easily?
Yep, someone on FB did it
It sure can! Katie, one of the other ambassadors, did a lovely version with the Arlington sleeve in a lacy fabric. It was gorgeous!
@@TomKatStitchery Thank you 😀
Just can’t have strips across my A-!
😂
🇨🇦😃
❤️❤️❤️
So excited for this pattern re-release! I’ve had it for over a year but have never made it. I have a gorgeous stretch suede in a teal from Stylemaker fabrics I’ve been holding onto for this pattern. I love all of yours but that stripe is adorable! You wear it well😊. Now just waiting on the Terra Tunic 😁
That sounds like the perfect fabric for one! While I'm not for sure when the Terra will be updated, it will be before the end of next year!
Love the blue the best. Sorry don't like the stripe.
Thank you!
