    Karin, this might be the prettiest knit dress I have seen in a long time. It has shape without being too clingy. The bottom part is not too voluminous, shaping in the back, perfect neckline. And your fabric choice is so gorgeous. I love this dress.

    Thanks so much for the link to this pattern. I have to ready-to-wear tops that have this feature of the back wrapping around to make princess seams in the front and they are both very flattering. I was thinking I would have to create my own copy of the garments, but this pattern is perfect!! I really enjoy your tutorials and sew-alongs - you are very pleasant to listen to and watch and are very knowledgeable. I've been sewing for over 50 years (I'm old!) but I still have learned new techniques from you. Thanks again.

    I got the email for this pattern this morning. I looked at and thought, No, not real keen on that. The image in the email really wasn’t appealing, and went to delete it. But then I suddenly thought, wait! Let me see what Karina does with it. Now i’m glad i waited 😄

    The line art for the top doesn't look particularly attractive to me, but seeing what you were able to make has convinced me to purchase the pattern. I think fabric choice is paramount. Maybe the short dress could work as a nightgown, too (in the right fabric). Looks very comfortable. Thanks for showing us your versions.

      I have had this pattern for quite a while but have never made it. I wasn’t overly impressed with the line drawings either but as soon as I can get to my printer I’m going for it. I have some ITY with stripes that would make an awesome dress.

    Would liverpool crepe work? I do not see many patterns that recommend this wonderful fabric.

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  2 года назад

      I think Liverpool crepe is too heavy and thick for it. I see that type of fabric more suited to blazers and pencil skirts… even pants.

    Karina, excellent as always. Question for you: would the all in one facing work for the tank version of this pattern? I really don’t like sewing neckbands and armhole bands. I’m going to purchase this pattern regardless (will use your affiliate link ). Thank you.

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  2 года назад

      An all in one facing would not be straight forward because there is no side seam. I don’t think I’d like a seam where the princess seam is for the facing…it has to join somewhere.

    • @denisedorsey2889
