Congratulations 🍾 Enzo and Ashley on their first muskies. I hope that 2021 I can get out after them even in more local waters on my kayak with both fly and conventional gear and hook and land my first musky. Been a dream of mine for a decade or so. Hooksets are FREE especially out of a boat and if one has a lure knocker. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome video Sam, 2 first timers too, wow ! Y’all’s knowledge of those fish and the waters you fish is mind blowing, thanks for the content, I’m not located to far from you and I’d like to think in the near future my son and I could book a trip with you guys, thanks again !!!
Congrats Sam and both anglers! Love the way you interact with clients. If I can suggest get 360 camera, it will make your life so easy and you won't miss anything. You will reframe your footage when editing. Even white water rafting for entertainment :)
Sam how do you approach fighting a fish that hits on the 8 when you're solo? As you know it can be hairy to just try to force em into the net when they're green by yourself. I've started free spooling a little line out and wearing em down a little before I try to net, but there's always that chance you'll lose it if it's not hooked good and you let up on the pressure.
Yea when I’m solo the first thing i do is look and see how well the fish is hooked. Now unless it’s a terrible hook up and she’s just barely hanging on , I like to play them out for a bit until they calm down , then I’ll go grab the net , lay it in the water with the handle between my legs , and leader the fish in . If she’s just barely hooked , I may rush the situation a bit faster and do the old net handle in one arm , rod in the other shit show ! 😂😂😂

Its pretty cool how the sport always finds a way to "balance" things out for the most part!
Yes! Usually if you put the time in it will all balance out . Hard days are made up for with big fish landed although sometimes weeks / months later .
@@BlueRidgeMusky for sure, tight lines man, love the videos!
