    Which duct should this attach to? The air intake from the house of the main trunk coming from the air handler

    Thanks for the video. Just curious, isn't aroma oil flammable when exposed to heating elements?

    • @AromaRetail
      @AromaRetail  3 месяца назад

      there is no heating element in ANY of our Scent Machines. otherwise, yes, fragrance oils are flammable. our cold air diffusion prevents unnecessary warmth caused by the machine AND keeps the integrity of the fragrance. no heat generated by means you experience the aroma in its intended form.

    • @inhokim1494
      @inhokim1494 3 месяца назад

      @@AromaRetail I'm sure that the machine wouldn't have a heat element, the one I am referring is in HVAC. In your schematics, #1 location is only place where oil doesn't go through the heating element. Isn't it?

    • @AromaRetail
      @AromaRetail  2 месяца назад +1

      yes, #1 does not go through a heating / cooling element and is the ideal placement. locations #2 & #3 are also viable in spaces where #1 cannot be achieved & are SAFE before the heating / cooling element because the flashpoints of our oils are higher than inside an HVAC system.
      even at the flashpoint, it would need an ignition like an open flame to start causing trouble. the main reason we want people to TRY to put the fragrance after the heat exchanger @ location #1 is because the heat will cause more of the fragrance to evaporate before it is able to make it to the spaces.

    Would it be better to mount the machine where the output nozzle is directly under the air duct and have the tube come in from the bottom of the duct instead of the side? Then the tube is super short without any bends or distance so there’s no loss of vapor

    • @AromaRetail
      @AromaRetail  2 месяца назад

      placement UNDER is preferred! this allows any condensation of the oil to safely go back into the machine WITHOUT being trapped in any bellies, so make sure it's a straight line. you are welcome to bring our hose to a hardware store and get a longer one BUT the maximum length we suggest from nozzle to port is 4 feet. sometimes 6 feet is fine, just as long as there are no bellies along the way. this is why we provide a shorter hose.

    Hi there, what if my air handler in the atic? Do you have any solutions to make it work?

    • @AromaRetail
      @AromaRetail  14 дней назад

      yes! our clients with air handlers in the attic will place the S.M. Pro next to it in a similar manner. this is how mine is laid out and I had no trouble getting to and from it.
      if you require more help, please e-mail us with photos so we can get a better idea on how to install in your home. Care@AromaRetail.com

    Is the unit rated to be installed outdoors on the side of a package A/C unit ?

    • @AromaRetail
      @AromaRetail  Месяц назад +1

      the S.M. Pro should be installed indoors and away from direct sunlight, moisture, and possible animals / critters. however, some of our clients NEED it outside and will build custom enclosures for it.

    When adding the optional air switch, does the machine need to be programed to recognize the switch?

    • @AromaRetail
      @AromaRetail  6 месяцев назад +1

      no, it does not need its own programming! it is triggered by a difference in air pressure once ported to HVAC. feel free to call us or e-mail us with further questions!

    Are your machines residue free and safe for pets, children, artwork and furniture?

    • @AromaRetail
      @AromaRetail  Год назад +1

      all of our machines do not leave residue! our oils are safe for pets and children to be around as well as the rest of your household. the parts per billion that the machines diffuse will not impact artwork, but to be on the safe side, keep unprotected pieces out of the (direct) vicinity of the plume.

    I have a condo-type closet HVAC with the open face filter. It has the plaster-like plenum directly above the air intake filter. Is it okay to run the tube into the plenum? Also, that would be the low pressure area correct?

    • @AromaRetail
      @AromaRetail  10 месяцев назад

      the plenum may not carry enough of a pressure change to trigger the air switch. I would have to see where you want to put the tube, please send us a short video (or photos would work too) to Care@AromaRetail.com if you haven't yet. A plenum is usually large and open space that allows air to flow freely, but not a duct.
      I would also recommend putting the tube either between the air filter and the fan (low pressure) OR after the fan between the fan and the room outlets (high pressure). After the fan is always preferred for optimal scenting!

      the solution to this is relocating placement somewhere else in the H.V.A.C. system! in the user guide, we illustrate multiple places that it can go, and since you're experience an imbalance, it means you should move it to find a better balance. call us or e-mail us!

    I need fresh air when it is blowing hot air (heating), will this work?

    • @AromaRetail
      @AromaRetail  Год назад

      no matter if the air blowing is cool or warm, the machine will diffuse on the schedule you set. remember, the Air Switch is OPTIONAL and only necessary if your fan DOES NOT turn on every 6 to 8 hours to circulate air.

    My air flows through my furnace down and comes up through the floor vents, so do I put the diffuser on top of the furnace? Where the mist flows through the furnace and then up through the floor vents, or would this make the mist from the diffuser come in contact with the flame from the furnace and cause a explosion? Idk

    • @kayleewelch2957

      We recommend 4 feet to avoid condensation, you can clip it shorter but if it's too long you may not smell the scent!

    • @AromaRetail
      @AromaRetail  8 месяцев назад

      we suggest the shortest distance needed from machine to duct! if you need to add one or two feet, then you should be fine. you'll know if the hose is too long if you cannot detect the fragrance.

    What if you have a split unit? I have one AC Unit in the attic that has two zones. So the first floor as it’s on thermostat and the second floor has its own thermostat.

    • @AromaRetail
      @AromaRetail  Год назад

      one Scent Machine per air handler is what we recommend! some places have 2, one unit for upstairs and one unit for downstairs. in that build, two Scent Machines would make life easier.
      sounds like you have one handler. in that case, one Scent Machine will work since the main fan can only do one zone at a time.
