    Wonderful video. I learned a rule of thumb:
    A pumpkin plant would produce an average of 7 male flowers Before producing a female flower. I have bees in my garden however not enough to pollinate my pumpkins and cucumbers. So I have to hand pollinate.

    You make it so simple and easy! No fuss pollination:-) very informative now I am able to tell the difference between male and female flowers. I feel sad about the declining bee and wasp populations

    There are nearly more than 20 lauki but when they are finger size turn yellow. What can be the reason
    Someone suggested may be lack of pollination but in that case it won't produce fruit

    Maam I pollinate small pumpkins when they come, but after 2-3 days they become yellow and the pumpkin die. Please tell what to do

      Your soil may be deficient. Pls fertilise it well. Is there any sign of disease?

      Maam my mom told me not to look the pumpkin again and again because if you look again and again they become spoil. I look it everyday. Is my mom correct??

    Maam what happens if the flower of small pumpkin comes out after its pollinated?? Because I was doing cushion with grass for it, and by mistake my hand touched it and it came out. Will my pumpkin not become big??

      The flower will fall and the pumpkin will continue to grow

    My pumpkin become yellow and die after 3-4 days after pollination. I have put ash, fertilizer, cow dung to the soil and mixed it. What is the problem? Why my pumpkin become yellow and die? This is for 4th time. Please help!!

    One question not related to this topic..how did you guys manage water irrigation intial days..what was the source..now all these years u worked hard and chanelize water streams..but how was it in start

      We have a bore well. But we try to minimize use of it.

    I hand pollinated 2of my female pumpkin flowers.,but after a day or 2,they have dropped off. I feel quite disappointed. Please advise

      Those were probably male flowers

    I have a garden in Delhi n have planted pumpkins in the front n back. Front gets goos morning sun and back gets going sun. Both flower but no fruits. After seeing ur video i checked the flowers. Seemingly female flowera but donot have bulb at their neck. Why is ut like that. I am frustrared seeing it grow all over but not fruiting.

      A female flower has a bulb in the neck. If there is no bulb, it is probably a male flower.

    What ,if we don't pollinate female flowers with male flowers by hand, won't they develop into full grown pumpkins ?

      If you have natural pollinators like bees then you will be just fine

      Whenever you see female flowers. Pollinate only if self pollination is not happening.

    Very informative vedio...
    But...i'd tried hand pollinating my pumpkins,but the small pumpkin turns yellow-brown and then falls...🙁

      Ensure its not lying on the ground. Either it should hang, or you should keep a cushion of grass/hay under the developing pumpkin

      maybe the soil is not rich enough. Look into your soil also.

    Sometimes female flowers comes first before male flowers.. in my case this happened... so your every opinion is not correct...

      How long have they been there? If only a week or two, then wait. The female flowers will emerge.
