- Disclaimer: I'm still very much a Fractal noob. There's a lot of things I've yet to learn, but what better way than throwing myself in at the deep end?

great demo!
cool video Kai, great to see more of your FM3 journey
if it's any help on the delays (to make things sound bigger/wider):
-on some delays lower the L/R ratio from 100% , lowering it a tiny bit gives a bit more space while maintaining the selected tap tampo, but you can also get into some dotted eighth + quarter note style tones this way
-on some delays that you have the 'right post delay' instead that can also add to this
-bear in mind low cutting delays/reverbs within the respective pages which will help with clarity
you're in essence causing a slight difference between the L + R channels, which in turn makes things sound wider
hard panning cabs along with this is otherwise is very effective,
I definitely got clouded up in that moment - I never normally go for wide tones, but it's something I liked in the factory presets. Since I'm only ever running plugins, I'd typically just pull up a stereo widener plugin and have some fun. I appreciate the tips! Might be cool to revisit this preset and see what changes I'd make off-the-clock when the pressure is off.
@@KaiDown totally understand, 20 minutes isn't a lot of time to get that all that set up and dialed in, using the scene manager and getting all the scenes/layout preset at the start was really nice in any case
could be worth a part 2 in getting it really tweaked/dialed in, using those same amps and setup
stereo definitely gets addictive once you start using it more
Now do it without the editor 😝
THAT would be a challenge. I could set a 6 hour timer and maybe come out the other side with a basic clean tone
Nah. If you need to edit patches without access to a computer then just don't buy a Fractal. Otherwise Axe-Edit is awesome.
@@Gregorovitch144 That’s my exact point lol. They definitely gotta fix the workflow for the next iteration.
It can be gotten used to over time, but it’s anything but ideal.
