SO TRUE!!!! When I dumped my ex narc we were in a position where I could tell him the truths about himself. I was blunt and often brutal in my feedback to why I had enough. It wasn’t emotional it was very matter of fact. In those conversations when he had confessed to meeting someone and I happily gave him my blessing, my reaction made him ramp up the commitment to the other girl to the point that he proposed to her to spite me. I watched in amusement as he did this knowing his real intention which was to hurt me. I kept wishing him well and he finally admitted that he may have made a mistake in proposing but that he “had made his bed and had to lie in it”. For 14 years since I dumped and went no contact he has tried to Hoover me with zero success. Lol

This just helped me let go of my daughter. Her friends, whom she always refers to as: " my family" always come first. Birthdays, Holidays, and other normal "Family" situations, illnesses, any emergency or crisis situations, are always spent with her "friends", while I sit ALONE. It never seems to matter how sick or lonely or sad I am. Her FRIENDS come first. She seems to live in another world, one where I don't exist. Whenever her friends dissappoint her, she comes flying home to me, with all kinds of plans and promises, telling me how bad they are and how badly they treat her. Then, out of the blue, for zero reason, just when I think we're getting along great...she just leaves again, even without saying a word. She's just...GONE...with a new group of friends, whom she always makes sure, hate me and think they need to offer her a free place to stay. Her "friend/family" groups have completely changed, several times. It's never the same people, who are always left wondering what they did or didnt do, that she's completely cut them off. NEWSFLASH: YESTERDAY 07/03/23....she contacted me, saying she hates the "family" she's embedded herself into and ANNOUNCED to me that she's making arrangements to travel the 1,250 miles to come "home". NOW... what do I do?
Yes cut her off!! Ive been cut n mind off for the last 10 yrs now its permanant cause she dogged me out for her life time parole rapeist pedo bf After I went to rescue her. I was done. Then he DOGGED her out so bad in the end. She feel stupid and got off social media hiding now. I have NO respect left for her dumb ass and she been doing narc shit for yrs it took awhile to catch on. Cut her off Period. She will Never be the daughter you want. Mines is 32 now Im 50 and I thru with her ass

Yes, the roles work in reverse like this where the outgoing, popular one is the celebrity and the quiet/passive one is to be avoided. My hope is that the *true* empath can discern between the two.
Classic narcissist behavior: completely new friend groups over and over again. That, and the friends hating the constants while the constants are being neglected. I can’t imagine the pain of being the constant in this case. I’m very sorry you’ve experienced being used by your own child. I have been in the friend groups, but never again. Oh my gosh......... that's so weird. My mother would cut up her name and address from junk mail, and tape it to everything. Plastic bins, pen holders, placemats, shelves... LOL! ALL OF HER BOOKS had her name, my name, and my dad's name on them. :( So when we tried to sell them, they were de-valued, because she wrote in them.... needlessly. She never even READ those books.

Oh my god,this was so relatable! One of my narcissistic exes sent me hand written letters for over a year, ranting about how they were disgusted with me having s€x with others..! WHY would they think that I cared about that downgrading statements over and over?! It just made me more angry.
I’m not trying to pat myself on the back. But, I do wonder how much of my discard/departure led to my narcissistic mother’s death. She did what most narcissists do. She discarded me, for my sister. What she didn’t expect, was for me to kick the door shut behind me and move on with my life. But, as I’m inheriting her home and have spoken to a neighbor, what it seems like is that her narcissism went into dementia. I can’t diagnose. But that’s what it seems like. Her neighbor said that dementia starts even 10-15 years before it really sets in. But, I believe my mother knew exactly what she was doing, unwaveringly, for many years before I left. It is a sad, sad picture, from who she seemed to me and where she could’ve gone with her life. But, I believe that, when she told me that I might have to take abuse from my sister, it was she, who got the brunt of it, living in squalor, no bed, no bathroom, just diapers, just sleeping on the couch, with mice running around her, having a daughter “care” for her that worked 3-4 jobs and just had food delivered to the door, for her to drag in. It was abysmal. I only have less regret, because she had good cognition when I left and it took just 4 years for her to die, in those circumstances. Definitely not what I had planned for her elder years, had she not become abusive.
Relieved that I was able to get out. Its been quiet at my home for a while. Usually calm before the storm. I have been wondering when the Hoovering is going to start up again. Narcissists never really go away. They are constantly looking for supply.
I had a narc parént im grateful i Was supported seen and heard empathized with by a safe enough person and shown the tools of gentleness on myself and healthy boundaries and with time i started them and following through with my boundaries and this allowed my Inner child and trueself to comeout Again. As i am the loving parent who can love honor protect and speak up for my inner child and find safe enough connection for my inner child. Living with a narc parent if u speak the truth about their abuse they will try silencing the other person, unfortunately some have to stuff thrir Gut to survive or find safe perplejo outside to debrief with. When i left that home i had psycological issues that thankfully ive worked on by joining support groups for trauma survivors, being believed and being taught to be gentle on myself and have healthy boundaries that is the integrity to my inner child, in speaking up for my inner child when i gut nudges from my inner child thAt stuff feels off, or someone is overstepping and getting too close in away that feels uncomfortable as the loving parent i speak up, voice those nudges set the boundary orcommunicate what my inner child/true self wants me to communicate, that allows me to find my safe enough people as other safe enough empaths respect boundaries and Its an oportunista to grow the relationship. Manipulative people cant respect boundaries or healthy requests that my cue to stay true to me, keep my position, speak my truth and then desengage. I can have integrity to my inner child and be in relationships that are safe and where healthy boundaries are respected,. Those are the ones that meet the need for connection where I will get seen and heard for who I am and are with safe enough people. Users and manipulators cant give that, they can pretend for short instances but with time it’s apparent they just want subjugation or servitude........ I am not interested in these kind of relationship, I’m interested in relationships where I can share my true self and get healthy connection and my needs met like that, that’s what healthy relationships are for. We all deserve healthy relationships where we can share our true self, and connect in healthy ways that meet our needs. We are worth it. God speed everyone. We keep healing with gentleness humor love and respect , healthy boundaries and safe enough connection, playing and having fun, and gentleness breaks too. We’re worth it.

My gf have had a relationship with a narzi. He was using the ghosting tactics all the time: disappeared ja the reappeared again suddenly. Then my gf found me and we fell in love. But she did not tell him. When the narzi reappeared again I was there and asked "Who the hell are you? Get out!" He was massively surprised and threated me to beat up but left. He sent some questioning messages to my gf who just did not answer. It remained silent for a while. But the narzi probably thought I was some just friend or brother of the woman who was just happened to greet him. Half a year later we did the gardening by my gf country house and a neighbour, who was a friend of the narzi came to see us. We were easy to seen as a loving couple. And then, a day later, the narzi started to send the really angry messages to my gf. Those were really angry and really annoyed ones. He realized that someone really dumped him!
What if the Narcissist wants to move on and they say they never want you back, they are good and happy living their life without you after they set you up and did you wrong and you’re the one who wants them back ? (Sounds weird I know but just answer lol)
