Because most of you prefer to watch raw, not so edited, colored pencil drawing tutorial video, i offer you this new video where you will not only learn colored pencil itself but also the Tools i use to create more realistic skin tones. This video is bit long so you might get bored but i assure you your time spent on this drawing tutorial will be worth it. If you are a colored pencil beginner or someone who is trying to improve on this medium, you may use this drawing technique, tools and all information that i share on this video.
I am so happy my art channel is gaining interest from other countries aside from my homeland the Philippines. My last colored pencil tutorial video gains large viewership from America (U.S.A.), United Kingdom, Parts of Europe and Asia. Maybe because i try my best to speak English on my recent Colored pencil drawing tutorial videos. I hope that this video will reach more and more struggling colored pencil portrait artist around the world.

can you please explain how you choose your colors? I am a hyper-realistic graphite pencil artist, and so color has never been my strong suit. It is amazing and -- to me, a pencil artist -- to see you use greens and blues and lavender to such a great effect. How do you know which colors to use, when do you use blues and greens? I am fascinated how you use such peculiar colors to create skin tones. Please explain the reasoning behind those choices? Thank you.

surreal po yung patience nyo idol... i could never with my attention span... very inconsistent po kasi... one day ill be drawing alot but then the next day i might have unmotivation cause of school work... hirap po kapag unmotivated... hands down... great job po sa new tutorial

Prisma colors are expensive where i live and i can barely afford polycromos but most of the vedios on RUclips are for prisma colors and they're instructions aren't as detailed as you thank you so much

Wow!! Have you ever done a full face tutorial in real time? Looking at this it would have to be made up in different sections, but I would love to follow along to a full tutorial, and I'm guessing others would love that too! Just got myself some Faber Castell Polychromas and haven't used them yet because I've been waiting for a full face tutorial. Keep up the amazing work...dead impressive!!

because i want to sell my art I use lightfast rated pencils like the polychomos and the Caran d ache. I am interested in seeing your technics with these pencils.

I always use Prisma with Polychromos, they mix well

I closely study my reference photo, and do swatches, i layer from dark to light

Hello, how can you please archive polychromos artwork, do you need to fix it? get it smudged in portfolio, if you dont? Do you put glassine in there just in case, or how its done, master :D Please tell me.Thank you for your work either way!
I dont use fixative on Polychromos, i put some on frames, others just on a folder with wax paper separator...Polychromos dont smudge easily...and are very archival, away from sunlight, water, wind, i think they can last for decades.

Deli electric eraser, Tombow monozero eraser, for the blending stump, indenting tool, Craft Knife, any brand will be good
