For someone so young I have to pay respect, you often surprise us with your knowledge of older classic tunes..impressed.
One of the best songs Rod expresses. You can hear the fear, the dread, and finally the anguish rip through him. If you’ve lived it - you can feel it too. Nice reaction!
You’re dead right the way his voice is buried in the mix, the piano especially is starring. And yet... his vocal is so gooood...
This is one of the best covers ever! I wish Rod could've did an entire set with the Temps back then, just imagine this🤔🔥😎
No need to leave this album. Mandolin Wind, Maggie May, Reason to Believe, the title track, it's all great.
My body stunk but I kept my funk
@@s.dossonsmith643 at a time where I was right outta luck
Every picture tells a story” fitting album title the stuff legends are made from. Fantastic reaction video maybe the best I’ve ever seen!👊
Great Song!
Just 2 years before this Rod sang lead vocals on Jeff Beck's "Truth", one of the best debuts....EVER!
I've always loved this version. It may even be FUNKIER than the Temptations version.
Great reaction. From Rod's time with the band Faces, the song Stay with Me. It'll get you moving.
The musicians playing on "I'm Losing You" are the members of the band that Rod was in at the time: The Faces. You should check out some of their stuff.
I think you will love The Faces
Miss Judy’s Farm!
@@GorillaMansoon "Three Button Hand Me Down"!
" I was only joking" Rod Stewart at his best ♥️ And if you want to go to church " Sailing" or "People Get Ready" he will take you there ♥️
The Greatest band that shouldn't have disbanded.
See the live version with The Faces, it's the same players as on Rod's debut album and shortly before he went solo. This is an old Motown song - Temptations.
Loved it.
It's not easy to out do the Temptations, but you have to give Rod his props.
rare earth does an even better version.
@@bugvswindshield indeed they do but I could still listen to Rod Stewart’s cover all day long.
Every picture tells a story
Classic Rod. Now you got it. Disco Rod I don't think so.
Love both The Temptations version and Rod's version. If you do more Rod...more importantly, if you do Tonight's The Night...the lyrics may be a little tame nowadays but it was pretty risque back in the 70s. Especially with the lyric...I'll let you hear it. Just want to give you a warning whenever someone wants you to do the song sweetheart!
Love your reactions! You can't help it, you have to mimmick the singing when it grabs you lol You rock!
It's a Rod album but that's a Faces track! Every single one of them playing on that.
You grow more legendary every day, Scribe. Thank you. Also--HOW SOULFUL WAS ROD IN HIS DAY, HUH?!
Other Rod: "You Wear It Well" and "Every Picture Tells A Story."
People often wondered why The Who chose Kenny Jones to replace Keith Moon....THIS is why.
Huh?
The leade guitar is Ron Woods who replaced Mick Taylor in The Rolling Stones. The drummer is Kenney Jones who replaced Keith Moon in The Who. Bassist Ronnie Lane died of MS. Keyboards is legendary Ian McLagan who besides Small Faces and Faces has played with Chuck Berry, Jackson Browne, Joe Cocker, Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Etheridge and others.
Rod is the best !!!!!
The drummer is Kenny Jones who later replaced Keith Moon in The Who when he passed.
Ronnie Lane on bass, Ron Wood guitar (Rolling Stones), Kenney Jones on drum (the guy who tried to replace Keith Moon with The Who 7 years later, after Keith's death.)
It’s weird. Kenny was a good replacement but music production had changed and it sucked the life out of his drumming with the Who.
Definitely watch the official video for Rod Stewart’s “Tonight’s The Night.”
That's Kenny Jones killin' it on drums....
Props for recognizing it was a Temptations cover that quickly.
If you're searching for extra sass check out the Rod Stewart and Tina Turner live performance of "Hot Legs" from 1981.
I really do love when you are Singing in start video , GREAT Rod Stewart Reaction VIDEO , Cool stuff from Rod I Think
Thank you so very much for your nice personality ScribeCash!!
Cool with them drums solo in end video Also , Please have a nice day and great week .
Wow, you just did it...first time here. Great reaction and love your recognition of him being a big dog. Haha! 😉👍🎵
Also like your comment about feeling like you're in Africa with that drum solo, excellent observation, I get that now that you mention it. An incredibly funky, blues-y song. Love him. 💜🎵
Thanks.
Give a listen to his song Sailing
Congrats on your good taste. You are the FIRST Reactor to go this deep.
I bought that album in 1970 I have never stopped playing it! Beginning to end it is perfection! You want him to take you to church? Try side one cut 4. or 5. 4. is Amazing Grace 5. is better it is... Tomorrow Is Such A Long Time.
OMG.....rare earth. fantastic band. "I'm loosing you" ....insane..long..about 9 mins but omg...powerful funk.
blows away this version.
I know the feeling.
You feel there's another man...
Hell Yeah. Now do Hot Legs video Rod Stewart.
Bring your mother too !
That sounds like Kenney Jones on drums. There were maybe 3-4 drummers around at the time hitting the drums that hard.
This reminds me of when I was a teenager discovering rock and roll for the first time and discovering there was some great talent out there and some medium Talent and so forth on To mediocre I always classify this as extremely great talent
Kenney Jones on the skins. This is actually The Faces. Check out Kenney on the live version on BBC.
The Faces were really groovy...The guitar player is Ronnie wood who left The Faces to Join The Rolling Stones in 1975.
fuck right... good shit right here!! My girl is rocking out to it, nice!
Why???!!! Why?? Why did rod rock like this and go to the music he does now? This whole album was great.
That's my shit right there.
Down the rabbit hole you go. As long as you have album out do the title track. Then, I have 2 suggestions. First, the album version of "Born Loose" from Footloose and Fancy Free. Second, the video from a song from the late 8o's, "Crazy About Her." You won't be disappointed. You look great today.
If you like this
You need to check out the Rare Earth cover.
“Back in the day” Berry Gordy figured out
“There’s still white kids that won’t listen to Motown. “
So he created a band to do rock covers of the songs. Even the label was different.
I had the Rare Earth vinyl - along with all my Motown originals.
Sang it girl! :)
Can I just say that your mother's house is gorgeous!
Early Rod Stewart is fucking wicked
Classic....
Great reaction vids, Love the way you lose your shit over the good stuff and you's real fine. All boxes ticked. consider me subscribed xx
Oh cool. You know the Original of this Song.😎👍
Python Lee Jackson with rod Stewart in a broken dream.
One of the best versions of this song for sure. Rare Earth does a great job with this as well
that Funk riff is Ronnie Wood’s take on The Temptations.
The Drummer Kenny Jones later went to to join The Who.
Rod Stewart; Georgie, Maggie May, Every Day!!
I feel like I'm in Africa, that was hysterical. i lol'ed
You better tambourine it now😆
This is The Faces
You should seriously consider studying sound engineering, becoming a studio engineer. I think you got it. You're hearing it all, I can tell. You might not be a musician, but you got the music in you. Today might not be the heydey like days of yore, but they still need sound engineers.
Check out the temptations movie version
"Forever Young" is a great one by him
Check out Rare Earth's version of this song.
You have to react to rod stewart I don’t wanna talk about please 🔥🔥🔥🔥
does it make the play list?
Gotta do live !!
The Temptations, Rod and Rare Earth all did this song
By the way not that you care but I have a screaming tooth ache LOL I think you helped a little bit
Should have gone with the live version
Jmo but,Rare Earth does the best version of this tune.
Rare Earth does the best version of this
Rod Stewart is always good. I prefer this version from this band:
Band: Rare Earth.
Song: (I Know) I’m Losing You. The 11 minute version. (Great organ in this!)
ruclips.net/video/hINtx2E6y6s/видео.html
Check out the original version by Rare Earth ruclips.net/video/F28X8--2dFU/видео.html Just goes to show how good song writing used to be. So many good versions of this song.
You didn't like this very much, did you? :-D
This album is the reason why his stuff in the 80s is so disappointing.
