To be honest a lot of the tech covered in this video has been used by BMW and Mercedes for quite some time. The ABC active suspension was on the S-Class way back in 2000 and was regarded as one of the best. In 2014 Mercedes introduced Magic Body Control which scans the road for bumps and adjusts using the ABC system. BMW also had integral active steering for well over a decade.
Like the way screens are integrated, BUT - nothing can beat a normal, simple button! You feel it so you do not have to look at it, and it needs no cloth for wiping the fingerprints! Perfect interior looks like in Pagani cars.
A8 is a flagship and should be first in everything! Why the design coming after all other models, last, with a such delay ?????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just subscribed. I like how honest and unbiased your review was. You didn't cut out the parts that failed, like the voice command, and when the rear touch screen took a while to boot up. I hate that they replaced the knobs with touch screens. Normally, after getting used to the car, you know exactly where everything is, and sometimes don't have take your eyes off the road once. Also don't like that you cant toggle Active Dynamic Steering.
So in regards to the touch screens they have moved to a solution, which is more dangerous, harder to use, creates lots of smudges, and is hard to see due to the glossy screens. Yeah, that is the future and it sucks.

I agree. the D4 A8 had one of the best user interface of ANY car. it had a sensible layout and the crucial tactility which allowed the eyes to be on the road. the new one is just a touchscreen from some korean OEM much like any other car these days. this is a cunning cost cutting measure manufacturers are taking these days because they know the general public is too stupid to recognize actual quality and usability when they see it. instead they gravitate towards anything that is considered 'cool, and trendy' even if it's more expensive and less reliable.
Touch screen is nothing new. I think it’s cost cutting if you think about it. But if you don’t feel like using the voice stuff and change settings manually, you’ll find yourself taking your eyes off the road longer.
Samsung Galaxy S7 completely agree with you. The whole retractable screen thing is starting to go away. That’s why I’m getting the RS3. Well... one of the many reasons. I hate the iPad sized screen you get in the B9 A4 S4, A5 S5 RS5. Just pray to god this A8’s interior design doesn’t stem down the range
0:38 The reason they put all that shape into it and with most cars is so that the metal body doesn't get caved in from the slightest bit of pressure on it because they're so thin these days. If it was one uniformed slab, you would just have to lean against it and it would dent in. My parents used to have a '72 Volvo that had hardly any shape design. You could bang your head into all day and all you'll have is a headache.

The 2017 E-Class has auto-parking similar to this system. Completely autonomous after it finds a spot, and it can find it on either side of the vehicle, not just one side.

Seriously impressive. Usually Audi (and VW group in general) fail miserably at luxury, with ordinary, plain and boring black interiors and lack of innovative features. But they pulled out all the stops on this one. Put all of this in the S8 with the shorter wheelbase and 600 bhp engine and you've got the ultimate petrol-powered car! Assuming the fake exhausts become real ones in the S8 of course.
