@@sillyrukus honestly dude, all states are like that. It isn't just California, but Washington D.C and New York are all the same. I have not even mentioned Chicago either, they are full of crimes and gangs. I live in California and grew up here. It isn't as worse as those other states.

Sounds like a legit security firm. Would like more information about the company. Like are you hands on do you make arrests, do you get involved with allegations and do the San Diego PD have your guys back if needed?
@@Jacob-ho7zl any private person has the right to make arrests. They can make a citizen’s arrest if a misdemeanor is committed in their presence or have a strong suspicion that a felony has been committed. The security guards arrest powers are the same as a private citizen. Cheers 🍻
@@Jacob-ho7zl you’re right, being sued or criminally prosecuted is a strong possibility if you go around and act like an idiot. In California, you better have all of your ducks lined up if you’re going to deprive a person of their right to leave. I was simply responding to your statement about arrests. Guards ARE NOT law enforcement and don’t have to make arrests. But when they do, it holds the same weight as a normal private citizen. They are not entitled to any special treatment because they are not police officers. 👍

Quick question do a security guard/ officer badge have the same Authority as a police badge like if u walk in a grocery store that says no guns can u pull out ur badge and say I work for security and will they let u in ?
Depends on your state. California probably not, but here in IL, 9.006 and 9.007 no gun signs do not apply to those of us holding Firearm Control Cards and in uniform.
The security guard/officer badge has no authority to get you into a gun free zone. If you walk in to a private business such as a grocery store which has posted a No Guns sign having a security badge does no good unless you are there, in uniform, on duty, as part of your job. If you are there picking up a money bag or servicing the ATM as an armed courier/guard, sure, you can carry there. If you are off duty, on your way home and stopping to do some grocery shopping, no you can't carry. That said, depending on management, some stores may not have a problem with you being there off duty in uniform with your duty weapon. They may feel that, since you are in a professional style uniform and not just some Joe Schmoe walking in off the street with his gat tucked in his pants, you are OK to be there armed and doing your shopping. On the other hand, they may strictly enforce the No Gun policy and approach you and tell you to leave.
Only if you're protecting that grocery store and are authorized. You have no authority outside of private property that you are contracted for, since you are not a public servant.
Unless they can make arrest,.engage and apply a use of force as law enforcement can, then its just a joke. A bunch of guys playing dress up and acting like they are cops. Its not a good look and not a good feeling. Guys like these are the ones that always wanted to be cops and never could make it. These guys are the badge heavy type of guys with major insecurities and resort to this as a last desperate resort of self gratification.

Only special police programs have that. Very few companies have that privilege and training to do so.
