Yeah man, major props to you for putting out content that's actually useful. No bullshit camera drones with weird dub-step music that has nothing to do with anything. Love the "play-by-play" of your plan of your attack for any given day you're on the water. That's how you teach people to fish. That's how people learn.
I know that others have already said it but, 1) Best fishing content on the internet; 2) I love the relaxed, love-of-fishing-and-nature vibe; 3) crazy skills fishing out of the kayak; 4) amazing casting accuracy. My boys love this channel. I love it more. Keep going, brother. . . .
This channel is such a better style than all of those other ones where people annoyingly scream at the top of their lungs when they catch a 2 pound bass. Well done sir.
Your videos are so chill and peaceful and I love it. Your video is 18 minutes long but feel like 6 or 7 minutes. You deserve a lot more subscribers dude and never stop doing videos they fill me with peace and fishing knowledge
In the 1st 4 minutes of the video I learned a new way to paddle in small areas, a new rod for pan fish, and a great setup for slip-bobber fishing. I don’t get that much knowledge in 4 minutes from ANY other fishing channel. Dude you are just so good ! 👏👏👏👏👏
My wife always refers to your videos as "fishing ASMR," and I have to agree. Thanks for making great fishing videos without obnoxious music and a lot of cartoonish screaming at every hookset!
Us armchair fishermen appreciate inclusion of things like the kayak launch 0:33 and "ski-poling" to push off to see the mechanics of how the practical matters go. It's cool to see effortlessly gliding boats hitting lunkers with every cast like most highlight reel vloggers do, but this is useful. Thanks, and keep it up.
New to this channel. I must say this is the most relaxing and wholesome content of fishing I have seen. The way you talk reminds me of the late and great Bob Ross. Thank you for uploading
For 63 yrs one thing hasn't changed; using a "bobber" is one of my top 5 fishing rigs. To simply anticipate, or see my bobber twitch regardless of species, or how high tech my "arsenal" became was the best. It would be great to see a "bobber/sucker or shiner minnow" video for monster bass, muskie, or pike. *God bless.*
Tough life Matt…”don’t feel like cleaning all the fish I’m gonna catch”….”can’t decide which lake, the largemouth, or the small mouth”! My heart breaks for ya Mattie. Lol! Ain’t life great when your a fisherman? Have fun brother. Regards, man.
I do enjoy your videos. I will say, I don't see you using spinning reels much. You are the most accurate bait caster I've seen, especially from the sitting position in a kayak. Have to love calm days when fishing Minnysoda or NoDak.
Actually, I do know about crappie we fish for them in spring and early summer in Alabama. I have seen some whoppers over the years. As always, I really enjoy watching you fish, sir. Thank you SO much!
Awesome video! I fish bass, pike, walleye and sunnies all over Minnesota, but for some reason it's when crappies start biting that gets me the most excited.
Beautiful lake and another fun video. You always do a great job of explaining your presentation. Those crappie are super lucky you were the one catching them! Those were some nice fish.
I use those same tungsten jigs through the ice for trout and smack them all day. I really like that they sink faster than lead and can still be small. Thanks for the new vid, love it.
Anyone ever tell you that your videos are like a Bob Ross painting video? The voice, the narrative. Also, have you ever tried an Adjust-a-bubble? That's what I use for small jigs. A dry fly with a waxworm behind the bubble is great for rising panfish. The waxworm makes the fly sink REALLY slow.
I grew up about 35 miles north of Detroit Lakes. Depending on how far away you are I'd like to suggest Waboose Lake in Tamarack Wildlife Refuge. There are several lakes in it, Waboose being one. They would close off access for 7 years on all but one, rotating. I was there in late June. Waboose is open this year. It has BIG Crappies. Love your channel. You're a natural talent😉.
I was about to say I fished that one last year but it looks like there’s another Waboose, I was on the one north of Nevis. I’ll have to try the other one!
Quality .!!! although I am using the go go minnows and they are by far the best plastics I’ve used in 30 yrs. arkie is making them now - in yellow white the best!!
I'm trying to talk him into releasing full length videos on a second channel instead of just the catch highlights. So relaxing watching on the big screen.
I wish most of the other guys with fishing channels would grow up and understand that narration in a normal, relaxed tone of voice is the perfect way to communicate with ordinary people. Being full of noise and bluster and over-the-top dramatic acting is not what fishing is all about for a whole lot of us. Thanks so much!
Love your channel! I've been learning a lot. My son and I watch all your smallmouth fishing, and incorporate what we learn on our local river. My boy caught an absolute slob, and he was wondering if you could showcase his photo on your next smallmouth video? If you could reach out to me that'd be really cool!
Thank you so much! I feel like you listened to some comments from previous videos and started to explain your setup again. Thank you!! Love the videos. So soothing.
It's a proven fact that I can't watch this superb videos in the middle of the day, so relaxing, so calming yet full of exciting fishing, now my mind is 10k plus kilometers away wishing I was fishing there instead of being here at work.
Yeah I know people who take home a limit every time they fish, now I do take home a lot but I also eat fish as my main protein source, that said respect the spawn and breeders aren't eaters, admire their beauty for a minute and then make sure they swim off strong.
May have to try a similar rig if I can make it to one of the crappie lakes this spring. Missed getting crappie all winter. Seldom do I see water that glassy where I fish, wind just a few km/h is enough to get some noticeable waves going on Lake Winnipeg and often it's much stronger.
I’m so glad Bob Ross has a fishing channel.
Imagine full length videos that are hours long. So relaxing.
Happy little fish 😀
Best comment on the internet! I feel ya bro!😀💪
Dude I was thinking the same thing and I look down and read this comment omg made my night.
Ong man
No matter how bad my day is going, watching your videos always makes my day a little better. Thank you.

From cast, to reel, to net, to release, everything is as smooth as butter. What a pro
Yeah he's really got it down.
Those hook sets tho! especially the hook sets during huge football smallie days... I could watch it for days
Agreed
@@MatthewMiller716 hey my buddy sets the hook on crappie like Kevin van DAM
Just the best, most genuine and mellow fishing youtuber . You should be an ambassador for your country dude.

happy little largy :)
He’s underrated
You have no idea how many times that’s been said.
Bob Ross or Bobber Awesome?
I was gonna say this too, and your comment was already at the top.

Can't wait to get on the lake for some bass, crappie and perch. Very soon.

Another fun video. The crappie in Virginia love Nikko waxworms, too!
I think I need to place an order and try them in Delaware
Can't beat spring crappie fishing!!
That's why I love this kind of fishing! Never know what's going to be on the other end
Im happy I found your channel man ! very relaxing. I like fishing but I rarely catch anything, mostly fall in and lose lures lol
Man I just caught my pb black crappie yesterday evening. 1.56 lbs 15 inches. Its such a rush! Good work man!
Exciting and peaceful all at the same time...
"we're on the board." Love hearing you say that!!
That launch point was super cool!

Yessir! This guy is awesome.
Awesome video matt, I love hearing that drag!
Love fishin for pan fish. Always a good day of action
I've seen it all now, a decent size pike caught on a little wax worm white jig, great 👍 👌 video.

Nice day on the lake. Can't believe that pike didn't make off with your jig.
I appreciate your conservation efforts...some people load up freezers and deplete the population, especially harmful before or during the spawn.
Yeah I know people who take home a limit every time they fish, now I do take home a lot but I also eat fish as my main protein source, that said respect the spawn and breeders aren't eaters, admire their beauty for a minute and then make sure they swim off strong.
