      no kidding! My 05 yukon XL that has spent its life in SE SD, & eastern NE is gnarly & not in a good way! I have to soak everything for hours or days including the quick connects (not quick disconnect). Replacing the fuel pump & the lines going nto the nylon fittings were so rusty & swollen even after soaking for days I ended up having to cut & splice new nylon fittings going to the fuel pump. An easy few hours job has taken way too long.

    Would pulling the relay for the fuel pump help with getting rid of the fuel line pressure or will it still be there since it has no where to go until the filter is removed. Someone told me I should stall the engine out first but seems pointless.. Thanks!

    • @2carpros
      @2carpros  2 года назад +1

      Pulling the relay will do nothing to the fuel pressure while the engine isn't running. I wouldn't stall the engine, I like a little pressure in the line, helps get it off easier. Just remove the gas cap afterwards to cut down on flow and put a vacuum cap over the line. It honestly doesn't matter. You are getting gas everywhere, its a fuel filter. Be careful and wear protection. Thanks for watching!

    • @ecgodsmack86
