      Wc tM she is basically is saying that even though there is a little time during a Master Class it is useful to pinpoint specific mistakes and try to help correct them, also that it is important to be aware of the suitable repertoire. that students cannot sing anything because they just can hit the high notes or the low notes, it has to be suitable for the type of voice

    Funny thing - in the whole of her 40 years career, she's never spoken a single word in English. Sort of principle?..

      Can't imagine why it would be a principle. Why should she speak English?

      I've heard her speaking English, but without a doubt she feels more comfortable in Italian.

      Who cares about english o.O ? You find it everywhere and on your computer language too but we are talking about music a,nd art :D

      But she worked in Met for 15 years. Certainly she speaks at least basic and specific professional things...

    Tutte le masterclass con i grandi cantanti hanno lo stesso peccato originale: quel cantante di turno condurrà gli allievi verso le stesse impostazioni/sensazioni fonatorie sui cui basava la sua emissione. Nulla di più sbagliato! Ogni voce è diversa e ridurre tutto, come spesso accade, a rigide posizioni delle labbra, è assai riduttivo e fuorviante rispetto ad un concetto di educazione fonatoria più fisiologico.
