Don't forget the pianist...they are always forgotten he's marvolous! It's an open eye when she's giving her lessons a wonderful person and singer ofcourse, otherwise you can't do it!

It's amazing how hard these people work. For years and years and years, like olympic athletes. Never giving up, continuing to go for it, trying and trying. It's just so inspiring how hard people work to become the artists they eventually become. I mean, they work this intensely starting at around age 10 to 12 and continue with this kind of attention to detail and this intensity, constantly. It makes me appreciate them all the more when I see what it takes to become a top singer. Wow.

I enjoy watching these masterclasses a lot. Joyce, besides being very skilled at teaching and singing, is just a bundle of good energy. She really gets extatic when a pupil does something good. I love that.

A little too much vibrato and too 'mature' a voice for Mimi, IMHO. The voice of Mimi should be a bit more innocent

Her timbre is dark and slightly veiled with a big vibrato but oh so nice to see how it can be opened up to bloom in its full glory!

I love how surprised and happy the soprano is when she suddenly nails it. So genuine and refreshing!

There was something just so special about this master class. I've watched it several times. Joyce brings out the best in her. Amalia is wonderful. I can't wait to see her in something.

Heartfelt lesson. I almost cry for what she sung after her lesson.

This soprano is very good and indeed, already she's got a lot in spades for the future.

The Mimì: In the old days, she would have had a 30 minute lesson every day with Joyce for two years, and she would be ready for a career. Sadly, this doesn't happen nowadays. She could be a star.

This is amazing...it really is an art!! The work...the discipline!! The accompanist is a gift too...they are so patient and humble as well and brilliant in their gift to play. What an amazing and exceptional teacher!! I've heard opera, but never knew how much training goes into it.

What a God given gift, so rich a soprano voice, physical beauty and stage presence. Her voice goes straight to touch my heart strings. Would love to hear her sing the Micaella aria in Carmen and the Lui aria in Turandot!!! Great future for this amazing soprano. Pray that the Met will discover her.

They both are super nice and sweet, their generosity exudes and goes through the video. I hope she does very well in her career.
