This was so informative. Honestly the water part is what surprised me the most. I mean it’s common knowledge that drinking enough water is extremely important for the body but I had no idea that it was that important for the hair. I didn’t even know hair was partly made of water. I’m that type of person that doesn’t nearly drink enough water. Most of the time I’m just not thirsty. But my hair has always been very brittle and nothing has really worked so far. So now I’m thinking maybe it’s because of my water intake

From what I understand, Henna also acts as a substance that “fills in gaps” on the cuticle layer of the hair strands. From my experience, it does because my high porosity strands have never been stronger, even after using Aphogee protein treatments, which I used for years. So Henna is effectively my bond builder! 😅🌸 Great video!

I’ve been trying to figure my hair out for a long time. The most I know is that it is fine, but I believe it is due to me not taking as great of care of it but idk, and I’m not sure what the porosity is but my hairstylist said she thinks I was medium. My hair can take a while to dry but I will try the method you suggested out and really find out. I do know my hair is very prone to tangles, and every wash day I feel like I loose a lot of hair. Also the longest I’ve been able to get it was to about braids strap length. I’ve been on this hair journey for such a long time and to be honest I feel like I don’t really know my hair as well as I should know to take care of it so if you have any pointers for me or any suggestions I am very glad to try them thank you. 😊
It has been a few weeks and I just wanted to report back and say that my hair is staying hydrated for much longer adding a thin layer of oil to the length of my hair after conditioning. First all i had was sweet almond oil, but now I have some 100% jojoba oil and I am looking forward to the results of using a superior oil. Thank you for sharing your wisdom!
Very informative video. But what do you earn when you ask if your hair constrict on itself when you twist lightly? Are you meaning if it curls up? Thank you for this video also, I’ve learned a lot
I needed this video! Yesterday I was looking for ways to get rid of dry hair. My hair has been feeling like straw for the past 2 years after the products and water have dried. I've never had this. I want my hair to feel soft and hydrated again :(. If anyone has any additional tips for dry/stray hair, please comment below, I will appreciate it :). Products that really gave me bomb curls and real hydration that lasted for days suddenly no longer work. I cut my hair to chin length to get rid of all the split ends, didn't work either. I tried the water only method which made my hair even drier so I stopped. Now I use flaxseed gel (without oil because everyone says oil is not a moisturizer...), my hair is still dry with flaxseed gel and dry. Furthermore, last year I spent a lot of money on various products and bond builders and now I am really at my wits' end and I don't know what to do anymore :(.
Try adding glycerine to your water sprays. It’s been a game changer for me. Seal with grease or castor oil. You can also add aloe Vera juice to your spray if you have one.
I added a very light layer of almond oil to my normal regimen after watching this video 4 days ago. Normally my hair is getting dry by day 4, but I am happy to report that my hair is still bouncy and moving. I'm going to mist lightly with a liquid leave in today and see if I can get at least another 4 days. I am so stoked right now.
Love your hair girrrllll❤ I have low porosity hair that breaks a lot. Glycerine on my skin reacted badly(my body skin turned white, dry and flaky!) Do you think I would experience the same reaction if I use it on my hair and scalp?
Don't use glycerin directly on your skin because in dry weather, the glycerin drag moisture out of your skin. Glycerin should be part of the ingredients of your products not used alone.
Also products with urea, panthenol, ceramides, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid are good hydrators and after applying them, you can seal in with occlusive like butters and petroleum jelly

In cosmetology, however, we often discuss these terms in a way that caters to practical applications in skin and hair care. Hydration refers to the process of adding water to the skin or hair, while moisturization involves locking in that hydration and protecting the barrier to prevent water loss. While oils, butters, and greases are primarily used as emollients and occlusives, some do possess humectant properties, contributing to hydration by attracting moisture. Their primary role, however, is to seal in the water from other hydrating products and the environment, which is crucial for effective moisturization. I don’t think they lied. Women just moved away from products using mineral oils. Which is byproduct of refining crude oil to make gasoline. It’s like how a whole industry (protein shakes) was created to utilize the byproduct of making cheese (whey).
It’s actually completely different. I am very aware of the origins of petrolatum and mineral oil because I’ve done extensive research. The genesis of their use is very different from that scenario. They are two separate products of similar origin, that are both used in grease. The primary component of grease however is petrolatum, not mineral oil. Sometimes when you have too much information.. it’s just not feasible for the average person, who has a busy work schedule or children to take care of … I understand you need to sell your hard work but it has too much information for me to want to sit down and read and then on top of that you have all of these multiple recipes for hair growth is just not realistic…like show me what actually grew your hair.. giving all these 20 plus recipes doesn’t make you an expert… it just makes you just like a doctor that prescribes 5 plus medications and think that they are helping someone… thank you but no thank you..
You missed the mark. Everyone is different and I’ve taken that into account with my products. If you can’t deal with the plethora of information, fine. But all of my publications are very clearly sectioned to cater to different hair and scalp types. So thank you, but no thank you. I won’t go into it here because it’s a lot but you can watch this video for more in depth info 😄: ruclips.net/video/uKuJ33grF-Y/видео.htmlsi=tVbu-RQu3N57kOqA
I’ll continue helping those who understand that, and I’ll continue to cater to my diverse audience because natural hair is not a monolith 😘.
