I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought to make a hat out of hair. It was a bit janky because I didn't fully understand the hair tools, but it worked fine. It actually helped to add to the lore of my character as I came up with an idea to explain why the hat looks like that.
For the first tip you should really take the model into blender/maya and delete the mesh. Mesh under mesh is why so many avatars have way too many polys.
later in the video she talks about the option of deleting transparent meshes in vroid to reduce the poly count. Wouldn't this method be effective without having to use another program or do you still suggest taking it into blender/maya?
In this video at around 6:36 you said that one can add items to their avatar in unity, could you make a video on how to do that specifically with vroid? I've been wondering if something like that was possible, because I've only seen people do it in blender and it seems quite complicated.
Hey, thank you so much for great videos for vroid!! I was wondering if you are able to have your model hold/attach props easily? I wanted my cozy vtuber to hold a tea/coffee cup…
i dont know if you have done this in another video but id love like an accesory "out of the head" guide i made some belts for my avatar and they are "attached" to my head movements
I’ve gotten as far along as making a few models with VRoid then doing nothing for it for about a month; hopefully this makes me want to continue with the process to eventually start streaming or content creation in general with at least one or two VTuber avatars again.
Awesome work, Phia~ I don't have a computer, & have been trying to use vroid mobile to transfer from my tablet. So far 😣😥 No luck. I was curious if you still did commissions!!! I've never asked anyone before and not sure how it works lol But anyways, besides my clueless butt, you're doing great!! Keep up the hard work!
I would like to see a tutorial on how to add a goatee to my model. and how to make it more.. umm manly I pretty much use the Vroid Base model.. with VERY basic alterations.
for the white texture i have a simular but easier fix. duplicate the base layer toggle the lock on the duplicate choose youre color and draw over the eyebrows
I found the male bone rig is so flawed it doesn’t even work in VRC desktop. I had to reposition almost all the bones to get full body to work right. The female model is good to go besides the lower leg needing a slight angle to prevent shaking legs.
Do you take commisions ? the wife and i need our own avatars :) we both have given it alot of thought and like your artstyle "we are both oculus quest 2 users"
Im having trouble with the body clipping part. My characters back is going through his clothes when he does something but idk which part of the texture is the back.
Thanks for the tips. I still struggle to make stuff look good or find good textures to transfer over. I think you mentioned you do commissions. Are you open for them right now, and how do we contact you about those? I don't really use Twitter
Is there a way to have a second head/model in vroid? I want to have a anime girl that has a pet on her shoulder and the pet will be the one talking ie me.
Tried making my first avatar for vrchat with vroid. But for some reason the character imports as knock-kneed making it a bit creepy. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? can't seem to find any information on it.
Phia, I know in the past you've mentioned purchasing premade VRoid outfits to bring into VRoid Studio, but is there any way to make your own outfits, and be able to bring them into VRoid studio?
you're able to import normal images into VRoid and pretty much all VRoid outfits are using the same base mesh, so you just gotta be creative with how you do your textures.
@@StygianIkazuchi i'm not talking about textures, i'm talking about actual meshes, like how you're able to "buy" custom outfits from VRoid from other creators
@@alienjr. As far as I'm aware, pretty much all outfits you buy or download are actually textures on top of clothing meshes that are already in Vroid, they just use transparency very well
Thank you for all these tutorial videos! It helps considering I'm kinda sorta making an avatar from scratch...ish. Like I tried to pay for a commission from whatever avatar artist a whiiile back, but either they A) suddenly close their commissions even though I've asked BEFORE they closed..B) just forget since I wasn't persistent but even if I was they'll just get mad...or C) won't bother because I'm irrelevant and not some big named Vtuber/VRChat tuber..which is petty and ignorant, but hey..."tWeNtY TwEnTy" mentality I guess. Anyway, sorry for my rant but again thank you for these tutorial videos. Keep it up and have a good day.
It definitely helps, but at the same time you can get through with no background in it. Although I would say being able to edit photos at least a little bit is incredibly helpful
I’m glad the broken textures on my face where put to good use lmao 2:25

omg my favorite Daft Punk reference
I never thought to put negative numbers, thats actually a great tip
Do you know how long I’ve looked to fox that unhinged jaw issue. And now that you showed it to me. I feel so dumb. It’s so simple. I love it.
This is extremely helpful! I used to have to copy the shirt texture exactly to my skin and it was so time consuming to line it up. Thank you so much!
love the creativity to this one i mean its just show how creative ur imagination and its good to be resourceful with the use of the hair love it..
I stoped my homework for this comment! Plus great video!
Ah yes

Great Video! I don't know what we would do without you!
i been getting so confused with tons of videos out there ,cause I'm new to this, and your tips seemed to solve half of my confusions. thanks a lot!
Wow the hat hair trick is amazing
And here I was just coloring the body texture beneath my clothes to match the clothes XD
Thanks for the cloths clipping thing, felt annoying while trying to record
omg that hat tip was such a blessing ty !!!!!!
Ooh wow phia this looks so good but I’m gonna watch it later
I was just giving her a compliment
Just begun experimenting with Vroid, and this really helped so thank you.
I will fix my model and come back to this for reference. Tysm for the tips!!!

@@vulpix3337 Stable automatically deletes any transparent meshes, so yes, there's no need to do that in Maya/Blender anymore.
Thank you much! I made model awhile back and it was my first so it had a lot of issues, this will help! Thanks :)

*starts to take notes*
This was very informative and helpful! Thank you!

I made an avatar but now when i crouch down the knees intersect and clip through each other
awesome
Hey Phia! How would I be able to send you a receipt for merch so that I could have a digital version?
What about hands? I find that vroid have gestures that are always kinda scuffed

Got a idea for a video: using unity for the first time.
Im having trouble with the body clipping part. My characters back is going through his clothes when he does something but idk which part of the texture is the back.
Any idea how to change outline color in the current version? I can find it for the hair, but not the skin or clothes...
Thanks for the tips. I still struggle to make stuff look good or find good textures to transfer over. I think you mentioned you do commissions. Are you open for them right now, and how do we contact you about those?
I don't really use Twitter
I keep getting these pink missing textures on my avatars temples. The missing textures move when I change the facial expressions. How do I fix?
i want to ask how much would it cost to have a fully prepared avatar that i would just have to import in unity to then import it into vrchat ?
what if the hair uses shaders the same way as the eyebrow?
will it also be white?
I can't get my vroid to export to quest. Does the SDK have to be 1.0 or 2.0? I'm using a 3.0 with the old tutorial from this channel
hi! from what I know, the UniVRM exporter that is usually used to export models is not compatible with the 3.0 SDK. you would need the 2.0 SDK.
@@itsstudytimemydudes4345 Thank you so much! Another issue I found out is that my unity was bugged as well lol
Please can you make a green brush avatar?

does anyone know how to remove the grey gradient on the hair?
How do you fix the shoulders issues?
How do I add more textures into the hair
Love your work but what about the lips? your avatar looks like it has NO lips at all - are lips problematic to make more full?
I made an ai-ohto model in vroid but it just doesnt look right, something about it is off but I cant figure out what.

I have a question to create your own character does that mean you have to know how to draw?

any idea how to extract a 3d mesh and apply in photoshop ? :(
Vroid for Mobile and Virtual Roid should watch this lol
whats the photoshop thing called?
sad to see agrama witch's content lifted so flagrantly. of coure youre gonna make a tips video but she made this exact video just a short while ago
I need a better computer... When I try to switch my unity to Android it crashes ;-;
Did... did you say... "bongos"?
For some people who don't know how to zoom,
Zoom in (Ctrl) + (;)
Zoom out (Ctrl) + (-)
You know, you could've used a procedural group for the hat instead of drawing it strand by strand. But anyway, great video!
