There is a way to become a VTuber without a webcam on 3tene (using the computer’s camera), you open 3tene, go to “Make avatar adjustments” and go to “settings”, on the “Webcamera” (under “face tracking type) and choose your computer’s camera, then go to “toggle tracking on/off and start face tracking, it should work :)

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I was able to get my Vroid model working with this instantly, no issues! (except the lip sync makes my mouth stretch in weird ways, though that's probably just me being bad at model making lol)
One thing to note fellas if your playing certain games while using vmagic mirror make sure on the home page you disable the click and drag function. It'll allow you to have an overlay in game and you won't accidentally click and drag the avatar off to the milkyway lol. Especially if your playing an FPS game. You'll also want to marry up the frames of your game with the frames of vmagic mirror or your avatar will lag like crazy. Hope that helps 😄
It would be cool if you could modify the amount of eye movement based on your volume levels (if you were a really loud streamer per say), so that the model really starts reacting more to the mouse when you're loud or gets closer to being still when your quieter.
you can also make the alpha when transparent max and transparency 0 then make the background transparent you will have a window that will not dissapear when you click other apps and you dont need obs studio u can use any recording software to record(if youre having problems with resizing/closing the window make it non transparent and resize/close it then open transparent bg)

More related tutorials would definitely be appreciated, on such topics as using 2D avatars / simplistic 2D renders with VMagicMirror, how to have multiple avatars interact with one another (one for the streamer and one for when anyone in chat is speaking), just to name a few ideas. Free tip--if your character won't move, it's because you accidentally unchecked free camera mode. That should fix it. Then you can uncheck it to keep your camera position and not worry about moving it.

Thank you so much! my old laptop broke and I had all the v-tube soft wares! I had to buy another laptop and the one I bought dose not have a Camera build in. So I ended up giving up on v-tube. But this video popped up on my page! I got this soft ware and it works so smoothly! thank you so much for a tutorial on how to use it!
you can just use vroid studios and 3tene 3 tene does not have a Mac version on steam but they do on there website but it may be hard to navigate that because its all in Japanese
I normally try to use this on my laptop without a webcam, but the only problem is that it won't track my lip-sync with the microphone. Everything else is working fine, and I'm sure it just might be my kinda old laptop just being old but the microphone has worked fine with other things that needed audio, including me trying out VSeeFace. It's very odd, any advice?

This is actually super helpful! I recently forked out £25 on a webcam only to realise my pc only has 2 usb slots and can't take the webcam as both slots are taken by my mouse abs keyboard. I avoided VMM previously because I assumed the lip sync would be bad but it actually looks amazing for a free program! ♡ Thank you for making videos for dummies like me lol
You could always buy a usb extension! It’s basically where you plug in a usb that has more USB ports attached and they are pretty cheap ❤️ happy to help thanks for watching my tutorials!

Nice vid, the reason I think most Vtubers recommend the webcam, is not because of the movement, but because of the facial tracking 'makes your face an expression more on par', but idk could be wrong ^-^ still informative, didn't know this program existed~

I have been playing around with the settings and figured out how to use the controller motion settings. Open settings window>Motion - In the upper body section you should uncheck always hands down mode. Once done go to Devices - Check Enable Input Caputer, scroll down till you see MIDI>Check Use MIDI Controller. That was for Xbox controllers. I used a xbox elite v2 btw. PS4 Controllers should check Use DirectInput. Don't have a ps4 controller so couldn't test that but PS5 doesn't work.
This is basically what GirlDM (i think?) uses. Or i think so, due to the function of her being able to move her hands, and use different keys on her keyboard for expressions. (Basically what VMagicMirror has) I want to be halfly known as a Vtuber, but also an animator. I want to make streams of myself animating on my computer, or just playing games when im out of any ideas. It just seems to me as a fun little thing to do.

this is my 2nd comment first was a question but I wanted to say thank you so much I've wanted to be a vtuber for some time I'm very socially awkward I wanted to put a face to my channel but I just didn't feel comfortable showing my real face it just made it really hard for me to talk. You can track lip sync via your camera or microphone, so maybe try using your camera instead?

Yep there def is! Theres a place in VMagicMirror where you can do that. I have not tried it yet though.

this is my 2nd comment first was a question but I wanted to say thank you so much I've wanted to be a vtuber for some time I'm very socially awkward I wanted to put a face to my channel but I just didn't feel comfortable showing my real face it just made it really hard for me to talk. I don't have the money to commission an artist to make me a 2d model or for a webcam this was a really nice alternative till I can.
