If I ever had a problem writing lore, I’d think of two characters and combine the lore. The v-tuber I’m planning to rig right now was originally two concepts. An alien journalist who gathers information about humans through his streams, and the king of a domain of hell who shows how nice he is through being a vtuber. Combining these now means that he is a journalist from a hellish world who gathers information on how to be a nicer alien.
Whenever I'm creating lore I often someone who starts off with a very detailed bio and a dnd character sheet. I would already know the basics from the mindmapping, so the rest should be easy. I mostly think of height and their stats (speed, strength, ect. Ect.) because it helps alot! Then I often daydream lore. And have a personal notebook/drive that would help me not down what is very important in the story!

Thank you for this video Syafire! What would you say for vtubers who use models as a representation of themselves rather than a separate character? I've been working on my first model, and I still want to be me, but use the character as more of an extension of myself. Would you recommend having lore still in that situation? I hope that made sense.
That's how my character started out. She was my online persona on social media and message boards, and remains so now that I have my own website. It was relatively easy to start writing short stories from there. So that's one thing you could do. Just write stories instead of focusing too hard on developing lore. The lore will emerge as you build up a backstory over many episodes.
Don't overthink it. My lore started from a bunch of unrelated jokes while I was s**tposting on forums. I didn't have a conscious goal of creating a character or lore. It only occurred to me later that there was a character in all of the random nonsense I was posting for cheap lulz.
hi sya! u remember me? wiksa? well i was able to download the new vroid studio and make a model! i also made an just chatting stream on twitch and it went GREAT! i have 3 fellow supporters and 6 followers, i made 2 raids and got many support, a person got a mod and got mod rules i was streaming an 1h+ and i loved it! everyone was so nice and no one was mean, they also gave me tips for future streams
I got 2 ideas for a lore: 1 is my original and just kept on expanding, the more I think about it, the more I feel like I can't afford it because it became too complicated, so I can't use it as a debut because I won't be satisfied if it's not awesome from the start and it's just delaying my own debut And my 2nd one is just mediocre because I want it to be simple and easier to use... But seriously though... I'm confuse on which one should I choose

@@Syafire 'Cause that's How I'm going to Make my Lore, Have so many characters, So many locations, I'll tell the story through 3 Acts and I'm thinking of it, I have a story that I think will be great and will entertain people with them trying to figure out what happened when, and I'll Release some Games for People too play that will Reveal Parts of my Lore And that leads me to my next 2 questions Is there any Vtuber that has done an ARG for their Lore And My Lore doesn't really have to be my Origin Story, Right?

The conflict I find with lore is that when I'm chatting I'm often drawing from OOC experiences which wouldn't fit in lore. Any suggestions for integrating OOC with IC lore?
I would say being more flexible with the lore, sort of like how Ironmouse was. Her body is weak and to tie that into her lore, she gave her character something that held their powers in but had some drawbacks that made her weaker.
Instead of trying to make the literal out-of-character experiences part of the lore, try thinking of them as metaphors for things that fit the lore. Abstract mundane real events into fantastic ones. For example, my characters obtained some of their semi-magical powers by being genetically modified to exaggerate normal traits they already possessed as ordinary people.
This video is a bit older so I dont think you’ll respond but I will still ask! I’ve been wanting to be a Vtuber for a bit now and I wanted to like type in what I have for my lore sofar and if anyone who reads it can give me tips and things to adjust! I don’t wanna show my friend because they’ll probably say it’s great and not tell me how it really is! So I wanna ask if I can type in my lore and some of the people scrolling through the comments can read it? :)

After 600 million years of the planet war between the planet gods and the moon and sun god, the gods eventually deciding to split the galaxy into their own realms. and every few million years, they look at how their realms might expand or get smaller. The three main gods are: Finales the goddess of the earth, Sarron the god of the moon and Sharona the goddess of the sun. Sarron got married to one of Sharona’s stars who’s name was Arexaria. Sarron and Arexaria had a child named Peresephorona but they perfer to go by peresephone. Persephone was set up to take partial role in ruling the moon realm with their father, but they were more interested in exploring and experimenting new things! Well interested is one thing but doing it is another…They were infact to scared to tell their father that they wanted to go to the sun goddess’ realm to study in the Solairius Academy on the sun planet Zotonoxius. After eventually telling their dad he agrees but under strict condition for Persephone to be under Sharona’s gaze. Before leaving, Peresephone’s father gave them two very valuable things for the moon god to pass down to his children. 1.The book of fate, which grants Peresephone the power to teleport and move around quickly, but most importantly, allowing the to go to other universes and realities. 2..The Yarakaso pocket watch which grants the power to stop time perfectly and seeing the past and future Peresephone gladly agrees and soon traveles to the sun goddess realm to study and live there for the next few million years. Tho Peresephone’s curiosity grew for humans so they decided to become streamer from a safe distance for thier father not to find out. Though Sharona, Finales and all the other gods agreed to keep it a secret, there have been some incidences where they almost busted peresephone’s secret. The reason they don’t want to tell Sarron is because Sarron views humans to be manipulative and controlling creatures so whenever Finales invites him and the other gods to earth, he comes up with some excuse or just goes for the sake of his wife being the Sun goddess’ best friend and one of her loyal guardians.
Think of it as a backstory. Fans form an attachment to characters as they learn more about how the character thinks and acts. Just add to the story a little at a time instead of trying to create the lore all in one go.

Great question! You can still be fun with the lore! What is your ideal life? who do you wish to be? That can be a part of your story.

Honestly start with ethier, it won’t be the end of the world no matter what you chose. You can also change your mind later! You got this

Each company has lots for the VTubers so that’s probably about how big it is but in a way maybe all of the VTuber worlds are connected! Who knows?

I think lore can always help make it better!
