    Brett,
    I have done this trip last year with a rented canoe from Rochelle's but I want to go back soon with my own kayak when there is better flow... We only had like100 cfm at the time... brutal. We also made the mistake (as greenhorns) of only renting one boat... so the wife and I did a lot of "canoe dragging" full of gear!!! No fun; Two boats next time and therefore not so overloaded. Also, a more flat bottomed boat should ride the low water better too, making for a much nicer experience. Live and learn.
    I loved your music selection in the video... tell us what it is please!!!
    Thanks for the video. I loved it!!!

    Man that was an awesome trip. You Two plan a good trip at the right time. I really really like your kayak man. I am looking to purchase the same type kayak. I have the tarpon kayak because i have big very very wide extremely wide feet that are sz15 6E wide with very chubby very fat wide toe that are equally straight across making my foot very very wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe & my foot will not fit in a sit inside kayak. It keeps getting stuck inside the kayak because if you're being so big and so wide. & having very chubby fat wide toes do not help. So I had to go with a sit-on-top kayak. I know sit inside are the best for kayak camping but it's the best i can do for kayak camping. I have to kayak Barefooted 👣 style because my foot out-grow shoes , socks , boots when i was 18 years old. Campsites that you stayed at were nice man. Me my family ( wife , 6th boys , & granddaughter ) we all love kayaking. In the video at 5:21 when your buddy has his feet sitting on top of the kayak my kids do the same thing. They called it ( cruise control ) that was cool at the end how your buddy was driving home Barefooted 👣 cuz that's how I have to drive my car because of my foot being so extremely wide. My foot touches the brake and the gas pedal at the same time & I have to look down to see where to put my foot at so I'm not hitting the wrong pedal while driving. I never thought that having a very extremely wide foot would cause so much problems for driving and kayaking. I knew it would for shoes. I was born with very extremely wide feet with big toes so I'm used to this. This was a nice kayak camping trip. Thank you for sharing it I enjoy it.

My wife invited her co-worker and her family with us and we both families had a blast man. We made some good family memories & friend memories. Just curious have you ever done a 30 mile kayak trip before? We are making plans to do it again next month after the 4th of July. Hope everything is going well for you buddy.

    Cool trip! I must ask though, why not use a solo canoe for a trip with gear? Seems like it might be easier? Anyway, go with what ya got.

    • @Docholiday1102
      @Docholiday1102  2 года назад +1

      You know, that is a good question. We mostly use the kayaks because I feel it’s a bit more versatile and easier to store and transport. When we first got into this we just decided on kayaks and been using them ever since. On certain expeditions a canoe might be better but for what we mostly do the yak gets the job done.
