I grew up atheist and in an atheist family but after 2 years ago I gave my life to Christ and Im now a Protestant Christian going to school for Biblical Studies. I’ve been following along in your studies and have been very intrigued by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When in Galatians 5:22 we hear about the fruits of The Spirit I see all of these fruits in the members I have become friends with in the LDS church and I do not see this to the same capacity in the churches I’ve visited or been apart of in Baptist, Non denominationals, Pentecostals, Orthodox, and Catholic Churches. I see the fruit of love and joy in your face when your daughter speaks you seem very proud. The Book of Mormon has been an enjoyable so far and im open minded to it being true. Pray for me!
Perhaps an unintended benefit, while I enjoyed the perspectives shared here by this wonderful duo of father and daughter; what impacted me the most was the way Br. Griffin looks at Kinley when she is teaching. I imagined Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ looking at us in a similar way when we are doing what is right. Thank you!

My husband loves to buy things for the Missionaries when he sees them out at the grocery store or restaurant. Some of the service I have received that I appreciated very much was as a single mother men in my ward family/church family would step in to be there for my son. They would offer to take him to an event or come to his sporting events or mentor him. They played a huge part of the wonderful man he is today.

Here's a profound quote I'd like to share that moved me greatly. "The closer you are to God, the more you have the ability to see people from God's perspective. The more you understand them, the more you love them, even if they're doing bad things; it reflects that Christlike statement on the cross, Father forgive them for they know not what they do. It's this Divine compassion that becomes a part of us. We become less offended by people doing bad things or saying bad things or treating us poorly. Our prayer becomes increasingly "Oh bless (them)" THANK YOU BROTHER GRIFFIN! it's a KEEPER!

This lesson, to use Tyler and now also Kinley's word is: BEAUTIFUL. In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have the privilege in my calling to serve others. Oh how the Lord guides and blesses me and mostly those I am lucky to serve through this sacred work on this Earth today. My biggest wish is that everyone just takes care of their immediate neighbors (Families). If every person did this, with love, care, and willingness, how wonderful this Earth would be. And yes, know and do God's will, that is an awesome part in this lesson. The Lord knows each of us and our needs. Just to serve others in simple ways with just simple things. I loved hearing from both daughters. I can see the love you have for them. There is nothing more tender than than a worthy Priesthood holder showing the love Heavenly Father has for one of His choice daughters. My father treated me that way and I have no trouble knowing how much my Heavenly Father feels for me!

The experience of Ammonihah (Nephites country) is the same as the experience of the Lamanites and the AntiNephiLehi people. The gospel will aways be the same no mater where you are. I live in Utah and I see the same struggles for converts here as it was in my mission in California.
