Surprised this car has never been released on GT Sport. Undoubtedly one of the best and most iconic Japanese racing cars of all time.

One of if not my favourite lemans 'prototype' of them all.
I mean yes it never won at lemans but it arguably the fastest during that bonkers GT1 era.
Yes it may not be dominant anymore, but I will still be having fun driving it and is that not what it's all about :)

I have bought GT4 for the PS2 so I can enjoy this car again. It was my all time favourite car since GT2 but to be honest. Its been superceeded by the TS030 and the TS040 cars that are newer. Still this TS020 has a place in my heart though :).

My problem in Gran Turismo is that I can't tame
cars less than 1000kg of weight. Can't find the right tuning, rear always oversteers when exiting corners and the front/rear wings setup doesn't match.

@@miguelcf2506 I think the Calsonic R32 may end up in Gr. 3.
Some of the early 2000's JGTC cars could also end up there as well. I doubt that the '03 Skyline GT-R GT-500, '03 NSX GT-500, '03-'05 Supra GT-500 or the '04 Fairlady Z or anything that came after would go there though.

Why not? Just because it's not the most recent game it's not bad. I even play a lot of much older games from time to time. They don't look as "good" as modern games, but they all have their own character.

Unfortunately I have noticed a disturbing trend of Gran Turismo in particular of the Toyotas. I have played every version since 1 up to 6. I didn't go for GT Sport because of what I am about to tell you. I don't have any hopes up for GT7; It will look stunning and will be 90% a stellar game. But in GT1 I could get a Supra and whoop 99% of the game with it. Same with GT2. After 2, they started screwing with the handling of ALL TOYOTAS including Supra, IS300, GS300, Chaser, MR2 and GT4 Celica and GT-One. They started screwing with the braking. Then they started screwing with the engines. They got peakier and more undrivable, and the power levels got lower and lower with each installment. The brakes got worse and worse almost exponentially with each installment, In GT1 I could out brake everything in the game, out corner everything and straight line out pace race cars in the Supra. Supra in real life held the braking record for over 13 years. Then in GT3 the braking suffered. Can't divebomb into corners like it used to. Then the handling got terrible with big un-tunable understeer with snap oversteer when you did go over the traction limit. GT4 got even worse and kept that trend until GT6. The Supra's handling and braking and acceleration in GT6 is so bad its almost un-driveable. The brakes never stop the car, the car will not turn and you can't even power oversteer in a corner over 35mph with 944 Horsepower without ebraking. The Supra with soft slicks feels like it is in the wet with street tires and slides when there is no way in hell it would in real life. Once I was sliding at 30mph on SS. So I dug into finding out why. IF you look at the specs of the Supra in real life the weight distribution is 53/47% f/r weight distribution being nearly 50/50. In GT6 the Supra is 60/40% f/r split. So with that fake weight distribution the car won't handle or brake and sure wont hook any power. This is intentional. The GT-One suffered the similiar fates. The Toyota Chaser, IS300, are very balanced vehicles with great driving dynamics in real life. I have driven all of these cars except for a chaser and GT-One. Not in GT6. They will not step out with any power level, the brakes are worse than any manufacturer even with the racing brake upgrade, and so on. One way I can confirm Kazanori's Toyota bias is if you drive his favorite cars, which are Mercedes SL55AMG. That car is a POS on a track by anyone who has driven them including myself. Pigs, heavy, don't change direction, brakes fade out, transmission is crap, transitions slow ect. ect. Drive one in GT6 and you'll swear the Supra and SL55amg swapped chassis in the game. The SL is balanced, it handles very well, holds extreme power and brakes are amazing. Tires grip 2x as good as the Supra with the same tires. All of you know that is not the case in real life. look at BignumTT yt channel and see how well a supra handles on the Nurb or Spa or Silverstone IRL. Then look at his fav Jap car. GTR. That car has glue for tires, has perfect handling balance on all GTR's when IRL the weight distribution on a R32 or R33 GTR is 60/40% f/r. So I unfortunately found out the game designer programmed BIAS into the game and baked it in to sway everyone. If you ask any millennial who has not driven Toyota products they ALL say Supras handling sucks- even when ALL mainstream magazines tested it and said, "Supra TT was the best handling car for any amount of money" and "It'll run circles around it's competition"- (Road and Track 1994). For the life of me I couldn't figure out why millenials repeat this Supra can't handle BS like a peacock with turrets until It dawned on me that Gran Tursimo series is the responsible culprit. It saddens and disappoints me so much that I can't even enjoy my favorite cars like everyone else can in the game because Kazanori couldn't be impartial. I'll probably get GT7 but honestly I already know I am going to hate it for all these reasons. For some reason he decided Toyota fans don't deserve to have enjoyment in driving their favorite vehicles on their favorite tracks faithfully like everyone else does....
