Their drummer is named Tomas Haake. He is one of THE BEST drummers ever created. He is a pioneer, icon and legend in music. Many drummers credit Tomas as an inspiration.
Yes!! Thanks for checking it out and for the shout out, Cadence. Glad you enjoyed it. This is absolutely Metal… Thrash Metal to be more specific. These guys were heavily influenced by early Thrash bands like Metallica and Anthrax. They’re from Sweden and this song is from their first album released in 1991. Their style has changed a lot over the years but, they’re still very heavy to this day. They released their latest album about a year ago now. The band on this song are as follows: Jens Kidman - Rhythm guitar and vocal (he actually stopped being the rhythm guitarist after this album) Frederik Thordendal - Lead Guitar Peter Nordin - Bass Tomas Haake (pronounced HOCK-ah) - Drums Tomas is one of my favorite drummers. You’ll have to check out more of their songs to see why. He’s a beast on the kit. He actually partially grew up here in the U.S. and barely has an accent when he speaks. Since 1993 Marten (pronounced like Morten) Hagstrom has been the Rhythm Guitarist since 1993.
thats the first album of theirs, the drummer is a monster (tomas haake), in this album they still had a big metallica influence, the band's sound actualy changes a LOT on later albums. check out tomas playing clockworks in the studio next, he is probably the best metal drummer we've got right now - ruclips.net/video/axGn6qeJHcM/видео.html
Meshuggah are great, legends in the metal community actually, this album is a bit chaotic, they didn't quite hone in on what it was they were going for, Obzen is their masterpiece, the drums on "Bleed" are mind-boggling, give that a spin
Omg please react to cannibal corpse lol - particularly hammer smashed face with lyrics. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you react to heavy death metal like that. Would love to see a kid react to this stuff
Also, i suggest listening to their live stuff. Like this ruclips.net/video/z5gxnh68MDI/видео.html from 1998, best of their live recordings next to their later Alive live album. Meshuggah was and still is ahead of everyone else. A lot modern metal bands reference meshuggah as being their influence or playing a large part in their writing.
This was new to me. Thoroughly loved it!!! Thanks for putting it on your channel. Glad you liked it. And I'll definitely be listening to more of their music. I love loud crunchy music!!
There’s something almost charming about the song, how it sounds like early thrash Metallica but dirtier and intentionally harder. It’s like watching a student film and recognizing the student is bloody talented, but haven’t yet found themself.
I'm excited because you are diving into some more djent.. which I love! Scrolled the comments and heard that Periphery is coming up. I think I've only heard this one once. I really love your choices.. a nice blend of prog, djent, grunge.. etc. If I may, there's a band I'm really liking now called CrownLands. Check it out!
hey cadence, if you like metallica check out ritual by meshuggah, its off the same album, and fun fact: it is the only meshuggah song with noticable/meaningful clean vocals!
If I can throw a suggestion out there, the live video of Do Not Look Down I think you'd enjoy Cool channel, keep exploring music of ALL kinds young fella Cheers from London, England
most meshuggah reactors aren't brave enough to tackle this album, and it RULES. nice job kid! check out their later stuff!
Thanks! Yes, more is coming. 👍
Meshuggah are The godfathers of djent. And periphery has a new video called Atropos from their album djent is not a genre, check that one out.
Periphery is one of my favorites! I’m reacting to the new album one at a time right now so I’ll do that one next. 🤙
Kids jumping straight off the deep end haha
i was probably about your age when i first heard meshuggah, and i remember thinking "oh i get it, it's like jazz!"

There is a creator of drummers? Like a mad scientist?
Yes! 🤣🤣🤣

Heck yeah! That drummer is amazing, I can’t wait to hear more. 🤘 Thanks for the tip bro!!! 🙏
@@cadence.presley, you’re welcome! Glad you received it. Looking. Forward to more.
The intro to this song still gives me goosebumps over 20 years after I first discovered this album. Its an absolute brilliancy.
Great reaction but definitely not the album to start off meshuggah with. Take anything from the Nothing album or ObZen. Can’t miss.

I love Cannibal Corpse! I’ll find some I haven’t heard to react to. 😎
Lol it should be a well liked video since it’s the extreme of metal and there aren’t many reacts by kids with any musical knowledge
Also, i suggest listening to their live stuff. Like this ruclips.net/video/z5gxnh68MDI/видео.html from 1998, best of their live recordings next to their later Alive live album.

Awesome! It’s cool to hear new music and even cooler to share it. 😁

You have to check out Future Breed Machine next!!
This is no reminiscent of their early sound, they were aiming to be a heavier Metallica, the Future Breed Machine changed their whole paradigm
Nice job, kid!

I recommend Kamalot ~ Liar Liar ft. Alissa White-Gluz. I don't think you'll be disappointed (or ready) the vocals and instrumentals are epic. 👍
