Dude the fact that you listened to a not so main stream meshuggah song and got to read the lyrics afterwards and understand how deep they are made me so happy. You DO need to listen to more meshuggah. Almost every single song they made has such level poetry and deep meaning. I would recommend Meshuggah neurotica.
Yo. Fucking awesome that you recognize the level of Meshuggah's music. Candiria mixes ridiculously crazy math rhythms with hip hop. Check out Without Water - Candiria. Cool reaction, bro!
Kinda cool that they're from Sweden(like me). It takes even more effort writing lyrics in english when it's not your native language. I'm told that the drummer writes a big part of the lyrics. Insanely talented guy.
Meshuggah essentially established the framework for "djent" which because its 4am in the morning, ill just say it is the way they play those palm muted polyrhythmic riffs. they spawned an entire subgenre of progressive and experimental metal of the same name "Djent" but over the years a LOT of it has just become generic bendy metalcore, but that doesnt mean there isnt other insanely ridiculous bands who succeed in expanding Meshuggahs sound. A few of the best artists IN MY OPINION to branch off from them are Tesseract, Uneven Structure, VOLA, Periphery, and Vildhjarta. All these bands take the progressive polyrhythms and drumming style and play around with allnthe different ways you can play that. Tesseract adds tons of ambience and mostly has between very soulful or somber singing, i would highly recommend either One for more agression or Altered State for the best album ever imo. Uneven Structure is a bit like that but turns the ambience up even higher and has a deeper voiced singer and more screaming, though the newer album is much more prog than mostly djenty, check out the album Februus. VOLA is what happens when you take djent and mix it with Depeche Mode or Tears For Fears. it's crushing yet poppy and fun without being screamed at constantly. check out Inmazes for them. Another great band is Periphery, doesnt really sound like meshuggah but the progressive metal with tons of r e t a r d e d technical djenting, mixture of soulful/poppy singing and an extremely dynamic screamed range is amazing. Periphery 2 is my favorite album by them but the self titled album is very special to many people in the djent scene too. and lastly, Vildhjarta is what happens when you give Meshuggah acid while theyre dying from malaria in the middle of the woods. Theyre evil. Listen to Måsstaden AND Thousands of Evils. theyre great. Anyway theres tons other great djent but imo these are the best bands in the subgenre.
You seem to understand Meshuggah, that's nice! Meshuggah is very intelligent metal with complex rythms, once you get that Meshuggah becomes a drug you got to have your daily dose of. Enter the trance.
Dude, Through Silver in Blood is a PRIME gym music tune, if you'd like that! You have to check it out! Those tribal drums and apocalyptic melodies will pump your adrenaline x100! More music suggestions: A Perfect Circle - The Doomed DALEK - Distorted Prose (would be interested if you react to this with your girlfriend too, since she is the metal head, and your the raphead) Neurosis - Through Silver in Blood Nine Inch Nails - Ruiner, or Wish Cynic - Kindly Bent to Free Us, or Space for This Massive Attack - Pray for Rain, Risingson Between the Buries and Me - The Coma Machine, Ants of the Sky Periphery - Make Total Destroy, or Omega
@@OmarOmarOmar thanks, "ants" is kind of a long song(13:10) it's also in the middle of a concept album. ( every song flows together without breaks). Maybe try "Selkies: The Endless Obsession ". Peace
You should do a reaction video to the band decapitated. But make sure 2 react to an old song. I have yet to see anyone do this. I recommend something off the first two albums
Dude, don't feel bad that you didn't discover Meshuggah earlier, finding something amazing for the first time is always a special moment! They have so much more to offer as well, heaps of quality albums and songs. If you get the chance, I'd love to see your reaction to "Physical Education" by Animals as Leaders, another band with insane riffs and unstoppable grooves!
great song! if you're looking for another Messhugha song I recommend New millenium. And if you're interested in some middle eastern metal, you should check out Orphaned Land - Disciples of the sacred oath ii
Hii bro.. Have u tried anything on ur pimple scars ? Cause I got the same scars on my face.... I went for laser treatment , it improved by 20-30% in 2 sessions..... Have u ever ever thought about treatment ? Anyway I m just asking ....... U hv very good personality...
Actually, the song is pretty scientifically correct. Society only supports adult development up to the conventional levels. Beyond that (post-conventional) you're on your own. Actually, it is kind of understandable, it is difficult for a system to go beyond its own conventions.
I have difficulties in deciding which song. There's so many good ones ...but "Ghost of Perdition" is a song I could sincerely recommend as a starter. ruclips.net/video/fV7KAarJgNg/видео.html
Ignore the "popular" Meshuggah songs (Clockworks, Break Those Bones, Demiurge, Bleed, Future Breed Machine)...try something like Pineal Gland Optics instead for a real mindfuck.
Damn. I had to google Pepsi Twist. Totally forgot about it. Here in the US they stopped selling it 12 years ago. I drink mostly Pepsi too honestly. There is usually a lot in my fridge since my roommate works for Pepsi.
hahaha i think they stopped it everywhere. I remember drinking it a lot when it first came out. I fucking love anything with lemon, so, i was automatically hooked
23 years ago and still ahead of it's time.
crazy to think i was like 3 years old when this came out
Way ahead of their time no doubt! I love this band! I also love 80s music! This is a great mix for my brain!
michael fadian I'm 23 now been listening to meshuggah since I was 1

"Meshuggah" is actually Yiddish for "insane".
Wait, what language is Yiddish?
Originally Germanic with elements of Hebrew, mainly spoken by Jews.
משוגע = Meshuga: insane in Hebrew
משיגנע = Meshigane: insane in Yiddish
Yep! it's in hebrew
We non-jewish germans still call people "mischugge" to say that they're crazy.
Yo.
Fucking awesome that you recognize the level of Meshuggah's music.
