Whenever Lauren first applies her foundation, I always shriek and go "no no no that's not the right colooooor" then the full face I'm like "ok that's a little too yellow" after the whole make up I feel relieved and go "what was I thinking... of course it will all work out..." HAHAHA

You are just the absolute best! You may not be as quick with uploads as some people like to nag you about but when you do upload it is ALWAYS worth waiting for. I have such admiration for your kind and optimistic spirit and the success you've achieved on youtube. I think this is one of the PRETTIEST Vday looks out there, totally girlish and cute! She's pretty don't get me wrong. But did you see the big difference from before to after. A lot of girls change when they put make up on. So yes she's far from perfect. No one is perfect, but yes she is beautiful:)

I am not sure why so many people are saying that Lauren doesn't like doing youtube anymore and is bored with it. Maybe she's just having an off day or you just weren't interested in the look she did in this video. It's only one video and does not mean she isn't good at youtube anymore. I agree that she wasn't as personal and talkative but I'm sure she is very busy with her life and maybe stressed or thought we would have wanted a relaxed natural look. I would be offended if people told me to quit RUclips because of one video, Lauren still works her ass off for us whether or not you liked the video. If you think she should quit RUclips, you should quit following her. I can appreciate advice but telling someone to quit and give up what they're doing isn't exactly constructive criticism. Think about what you're saying and if it's really necessary. You could have simply said, "I felt like you weren't really into what you we're doing in this video and I would like if you spoke about your trip or other things in your life. " Rather than accusing her of being lazy and not giving a shit about us and that she should just stop doing RUclips. Sometimes people want to be a little more private until they're ready to talk about things or they won't talk about it at all! You have to accept that, that is life. I will always love Lauren, and she will always love us.
Its more that her videos for the last 6+ months have been like this, so it doesn't really feel like she wants to make videos at all anymore due to that.
Maybe they don't seem so good because you're looking for negativity. Also, if they're bad videos, ever thing it's because of comments like these? She's being bullied & pulled down. But I love Lauren, her personality, her secrecy, her talent & knowledge! @laurencurtis
Kirsten Dubois Exactly, and she did take quite a while off last year because she lost her motivation.
Haha calm down I'm not hating on her, but it's pretty obvious that she's lost motivation. Yeah she took time off but nothing improved, and it's not a case of looking for negativity or me disliking her/her videos but if it's plain obvious that she doesn't like YT as much anymore then maybe she should update everyone and say so. She constantly asks for feedback and it's not nasty to have a different opinion. She's a beautiful and talented girl, but she clearly doesn't love youtube the way she used to. It's an observation - one that many people have made, not a hate comment, because we don't want to see her fail. I'd love to see her more motivated and fun and happy again in future but from what she has uploaded recently it's clear she's not enjoying it ATM.
In the first comment she said people told her to quit from one average video, all I'm saying is it hasn't been one average video, she's been down for 6+ months which is why people are making comments.
I feel as though Lauren is an amazing makeup artist, however she is also a youtuber. I think what Lauren needs to do is to be a bit more personal in her videos, it's always focussed on the makeup which most of the time is quite similar. If she was a little bit more open about her life and if she gave off more of a positive vibe, I think it would make the tutorials a little bit more interesting. What do you guys think?
I think it's a makeup channel and if she wanted to put her personal life out there more she would do a vlog channel.
Good point Amy. I don't really expect her to reveal her personal life, dating, boys etc but I feel like sometimes she holds back her personality in her videos. What do you think?
People can be quite nasty, I think she's honestly just shy. She always used to be at the club I worked at when she was living in Sydney, she'd often be on a table with friends. The whole time she'd be on her phone and quite antisocial, I once said hey i watch your videos and she didn't really know to react, I don't think she was being rude, as I said, I think she's just shy.
I can see her being shy. A lot of people that are shy feel more comfortable talking on camera than in person!

I thought so too! It could be the hair? but also her under eye highlight was a different shape? Who knows.. Not a bad difference though there's just something I can't quite put my finger on.

I'm no lauren curtis at makeup but you could use skimp all over the lid, primal in the crease and undone on the outer corner with some winged liner and some dark red, vampy lip colour! i have this palette myself and i enjoy playing around with the colours a heap! hope this helps :)) x

i love lauren but i do wish she would upload more.. most youtubers who see YT as their job give a heads up to their viewers if there wont be no vids up for awhile or tape their vids in advance when they know theyre going away or something. reason i subbed her was mostly cause of her personality! i dont consider her a MUA so i dont expect crazy unique makeup looks of her but i just like watching her videos :) i hope she'll post more regularly x
I know some people get on you for "always doing the same look" but personally I'm a neutrals kinda girl and I love the looks that you do! I prefer more subtle makeup and you give me great ideas on looks to try. I'm not gonna do a bright red smokey eye or rainbow eyeshadow, or super crazy heavy makeup especially in day to day situations so I appreciate the content you provide. Just letting you know cuz I don't get why you get hate!

Well done Lauren. You are showing young girls (and older women like me!) how to apply make up correctly and giving us good little tips which we can in corporate at home. It doesn't have to be expensive at all. Its how you apply etc.

Can people recommend me some good mascaras, as in I do know a few but when I apply them to my bottom lashes it ends up smudging underneath my eye or dropping a few clumps underneath like half an hour since I put it on. I would like ones that don't do that so I don't have to constantly worry about that happening afterwards?
The maybeline great lash lots of lashes works great for my lower lashes and the brush is smaller than most others so it easy to work with :)

The maybelline big eyes mascara is amazing and it is two sided, so it has a smaller wand for your bottom eyelashes :) My HG!!!!! :D

Hey Lauren! I love love love your videos! Just want to say this in the most supportive way possible but it feels like you've lost your interest. I love you videos for the makeup part but I feel like you treat making videos lately as a chore or an assignment that has to be done. Looking back at your old videos you always laugh and make jokes and seem so much more happy and inspired to be filming. I'm not sure if it's personal or just mixed emotions but it makes me a little upset, I don't mean to sounds selfish, you are the reason I built my makeup collection, you built my confidence and I've even purchased a camera to begin filming videos! And seeing you lately very monotoned and bored even? Makes me wonder if you're really happy with your career. You are my inspiration along with many others and I want you to know that you can take time off you can do whatever you want because your real youtube family will always support you. Love your stuff, but you need to put yourself first xxx

is it just me or anyone else feel a lil bit strange when she draw her eyeliner straight and not upwards to her brows? i dont know, i just feel that's kinda weird, and i think it will be better if u (lauren) draw your liner upwards so your eyes will look more lifted ._.

looks very pretty, but a lot of your makeup tutorials are basically the same. don't be afraid to try something new! maybe thicker, fuller brows, different highlighting and contouring routine, and you always seem to apply your eyeshadow the same way. don't get me wrong, it looks great on you but you're a youtuber, so even though bushier brows may not look as great on you, it's something different, and for those viewers who are looking for a fuller brow it'd really help! maybe do an asian beauty haul, there are some great korean and japanese beauty products out there that aren't too pricy and i know they're available in australia or online, since I live here.

Find it embarrassing when everyone jumps to defend her but she really needs to up her game before she loses subscribers to other you tubers such as shaanxo, videos are rare and have barely any effort put into them when they are uploaded. Stop doing something if you don't enjoy it !!

Wow you're all a bunch of self entitles bullies. Sorry to burst your bubbles, but the fact of the matter is that Lauren owes you nothing. You're not her boss. She is not at your beck and call. I would love to see everyone start uploading a video 2/3 times a week like you're wanting her to do, have a fresh idea every time, be perky, be funny, be personable, share stories, be amazing at makeup yet not talk TOO much about makeup, then get slammed by hundreds of people who think you suck. You think that sounds fun? How about the next time you find yourself really disliking the video, close out of it and go on with your life, instead of trying to drag her down with you.

It sucks that people are so upset because you haven't been posting videos as often. People obviously don't realize that you have your own life, with your own problems. RUclips isn't always before everything else, and people think that they're more important then whatever may be the reason. That goes for any youtuber. What if they're dealing with a death or other personal issues. Be more considerate people. Everyojes fighting a battle you know nothing about.

You seem to think youtube is a hobby, no it's her JOB. Everyone goes through great struggles in life however, they can't just take a break or stop putting in effort into their work because no they'd get fired! RUclips is no different, if you start putting up videos where you look bored and disconnected all the time - people are going to stop watching. It's just a bit funny to me that she can be on vacation after vacation but can't take the time out of her WEEK to make at least one video a week for us. like nah

Lauren, I really love you and respect you, but I don't watch your videos with joy anymore. You're uploading videos really rarely now and they are or some Q&A videos, or advice videos (which are good sometimes but not all the time) or (now really rare) makeup tutorials which are all the same look. You are an inspiration to our entire school and myself. We all watch your videos and not just me, but my friends have used them for not only makeup tricks but therapy. You have helped many of us find the beauty in ourselves and I can't thank you enough for the impact you have had on my life. I watch your videos daily and they have helped me cover up my cleft lip, which has left behind a huge scar. I have had many facial surgeries to repair and help heal my scars and that has left me feeling down and quite sad. Watching your videos has helped me figure out how to express my own beauty. Thank you Lauren, you do amazing things for people. Don't take the hate, you are wonderful
