Quick video of how to launch radio diagnostic mode and check for trouble codes on your Mazda Center display and radio and some quick fixes for common issues.
Thanks for sharing this. It really helped. Wondering if you could show me how to enable screen touching in motion. I saw a guy holding the delete button from the diagnostic mode for 20 sec to activate the test mode; then he dialed 11 and it landed him on a list from which he selected “speed toggle” to activate screen touching in motion. I followed the procedure but I would not get the list nor was “11” a valid code. I drive 2020 Cx-90, any tips to activate screen touching while driving? Thanks 🙏🏻
Thanks for the video. I have a 2016 Mazda 3 with navigation. The screen restarts a few time when the temps are below 40 and until it warms up again inside the cabin. Only on winter and never in summer. Any idea what it could be? It doesn’t restart continuously like you mentioned in your video.
Thanks for the great video. I do have a problem and don't quite know where to even start. Recently I installed Android Auto/Carplay in my 2017 Mazda 6. Works great with the iPhone, under the Android Auto, the touchscreen isn't working. Beats me, help if you know. Thanks.
I have a 2016 Mazda3 and I have an intermittent problem with a staticky sound problem. I checked the front dashtop speakers they were a little dry but did not look damaged. Is the problem in the main unit or should I replace the speakers?
Is there a list somewhere that shows what all these acronyms mean? Also, what's the most likely cause of the radio not finding any stations when doing an auto-scan? Thanks
Wanted to know does anybody know here just got my Mr's 2019 model the wing mirrors just stopped folding in I've got power to them but won't fold in appropriate if someone knows many thanks
Hi.....You clearly stated this diag can be done only on the type screen in the video. I have a '21 CX-5 with the larger screen. Is there a self-diag routine for that one?
Yes. If you hit the same 3 buttons on the newer vehicles with the bigger screen it will pull up a different screen where you can check to see if the radio is operating correctly. the OS is a little different. I will make a video on the bigger screen in the near future. promise.
I think it is. I saw a you tube video on it the other day. Here is the video link. ruclips.net/video/0KyzzRbxezI/видео.html 2:10 into the video they talk about enabling touch screen while driving.
The display screen on my 2016 Mazda CX-5 does not shut off. Plus, when I touch the screen, it is unresponsive, and my back-up camera, my bluetooth, and my radio don't work. How may I fix this?
If your screen stays on after you hit the stop start button in means that your shifter switch is worn out. next time it does this put the shifter in neutral and forcefully put it back in park then hit the start stop button again and if it shuts off you need a new shifter assembly or you can just keep slamming it into park. lol. I've probably replaced about 20 shifter assemblies for this problem of not shutting off.
Mine has a glitch that keeps opening or changing radio stations on it own. Can you please post the link to the software update, I've tried looking for it but cant find it.
The link can only be accessed by a Mazda tech as far as I know. A software update could help. Have you checked the commander switch for correct operation or checked the screen for ghost touch?
@CARDIAXPLAYS Why is it only possible for mazda techs to do a firmware update? Seems like a money grab to me. I did it myself last year to enable AA and ACP.
Thank you for sharing this video and information. I have 2019 CX-5 with touch screen and I am dealing with ghost touch for some time. It gets worse after a carwash or when I apply breaks. I've performed some diags as you showed in your video. During touch sceen #70, I only get white screen and when I try to touch the screen there was no curser following my finger as you showed nor color changing. I saw another video (ruclips.net/video/wO9IQoH_2jQ/видео.html) which shows removing touch screen option which will eliminate the ghost touch. I don't use touch screen so do you recommend this method? I don't want to spend $$$-$$$$ on it. Should I replace just a screen first which is about $80. What is your recommendation?

I also wasn't able to input any test # on the screen, I had to use master command switch (knob).
During Test #4 (Read CMU DTC", I got this error "CMU DTC 1 - B108E04 (Display - System Internal Failure)
