I love the tango train!!!!.
Fun ride!
i love the big dipper and sledgehammer 360
Me too.
AWESOME!! just a cool fact someone told me. when the man who built Luna Park Sydney was looking for a new coaster around the 50s he went to America and rode a wooden wild mouse and loved it. so much in fact he bought the design . he built 3 units. the first went to luna park and the other 2 were scattered around Australia. however both units were moved to a 3rd world country. his 3 wild mouses are now the last 3 wooden mice in existence. or at least that's what I was told.
Very cool!
yeah,to my knowledge two of them went to Indonesia, dont know where the third one went
@@CalculatorGuides I believe the 3rd one is the unit currently at Luna Park Sydney. its being retracked
Such a great location for a small park like this. They look to have just enough to maje anyone happy here. It must be great for anyone driving by.
Or riding the boats.
Your videos are so well done. Glad I found you!
Thanks!
hey you finally went, fun fact about the wild mouse it is one of 2 wooden wild mouse coasters that have been protected, you see this wild mouse coaster when luna park was abandoned before becoming a protected site the wild mouse coaster was moved to moore park where the Sydney cricket ground is it was only moved back when luna park was re opened as a protected site, the ride itself and most buildings in the park are protected by the state meaning that if luna park ever went out of business by law it would either have to operate as a museum or continue to operate as a park.
additionally the big dipper originally opened in 1935 as a wooden coaster and is actually a collection of roller coasters (3 i think) known as the big dipper the orginal 1935-1988 the new one which is the one in dreamworld it lasted from 1995-2001 and the new one 2020- now
All very cool information. I hope I can ride that mouse someday.
I have been waiting for this!
Enjoy!
if you end up going to Luna Park, Melbourne, they have a fantastic PTC Carousel, yes, that’s right they have a PTC Carousel! it was the only one exported overseas (that survived that is)
I did not get to Melbourne on this trip.
I absolutely knew the drop tower would be your number one. It's so nice we have an ARM tower in OZ. Most people would probably expect you to have put BD but I just knew! hehe.
I think the fun house going ahead of it may be the more shocking one.
@@CanobieCoaster Nah I expected that too. You have to rate based on fun, and you could clearly see how much fun and how happy you were in there.
Coney Island at #2 is my #1. So much to do inside there!
It's fantastic.
You make me wanna go there right now with my pet rabbit so she can ride the kiddie rides
Not sure if they allow animals on the rides.
RIP the seven poor souls who perished in the Ghost Train fire in 1979.
RIP
Did you know that Coney Island was featured in a episode of Odd Squad?
Cool!
Is Luna Park that rare park in Australia that allows GoPros? It appears most Australian parks are universally strict on loose articles
This park allows chest mounted Go Pros on their rides, but they don't allow any other mounts or items to go with you (includes glasses with a strap and items in pockets).
8:33 now it’s an rmc drop tower
Sort of.
6:07 not to be nit picky but that’s a dive loop, though rcdb calls it a reverse sidewinder
Thanks! I'll see if I can get that fixed.
A reverse sidewinder is a dive loop which starts as a half corkscrew, then turns into a dive loop. That means the entrance is 90° from the exit of the element.
@@Rolla_Costa that’s still a dive loop, it just turns 90 degrees, no one else says reverse sidewinder
@@WCfanboy well it's a special type of dive loop due to it starting as a corkscrew. Most dive loops only have a small amount of turning while the inversion. Not even close to 90°.
So how is 'mild' vs 'wild' decided? Alternating? By request?
They alternate. There is a separate queue for each mode.
we alternate based on queue length. often, we’ll do two wilds one mild
How many Luna parks are there?
A lot.
in australia 2, sydney (the best) and melbourne both have faces, sydney copied melbourne both are run by different people
why does the title say old?
Maybe watch the video first (idk if it is told in the video)
Thank you for catching that error too! I had to reupload this and forgot to remove (OLD) from the title when I copied it over.
I disagree with your number one opinion I honestly think big dipper is their best ride there
It's fun, but I prefer the two ahead of it.
Coney Island doesn’t count as a ride
I count it in there as an attraction.
