- Big Dipper opened at Luna Park Sydney in 2021, the jewel in the crown of a $30 million redevelopment into the park. It's the world's first Intamin Hot Racer, the Swiss manufacturer's single-rail model. So is it a good addition for Sydney's only amusement park? And how does it stack up compared to the previous iterations? Find out in this review!

Thanks so much for watching! Let me know in the comments what coaster I should review next.

Nice roller coasters. I subscribed
I meant to get to Sydney in early Spring for the wildflower walks in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and of course a visit to Luna Park. Hopefully I’ll get there one weekend soon.
omg the experience the magic ad u showed at the started unlocked some deep childhood core memories :o they just don't do marketing like this anymore
I’ve been obsessing over this ride for weeks as i’m going there with friends in 4 days. I just hope when I get there it’s not scarier in real life. I bet after i go on it a couple of times it’ll be fine though. In my opinion the first launch as someone who isn’t that experienced in thrill rides will just give me a feel of it before it jumps into all the crazy stuff
Good luck! Tell us how it goes!
@@MaloneysCoasterswaited in an hour line just for it to break down 🤦♂️
@@Tuned_Australia Oh no! That sucks, it’s usually decently reliable! For an Intamin prototype at least
I loved that the last time i visited here that i had back to back rides a few times throughout the night. There was no line a few times during that evening. So when we rolled back into the station. The crew were all like. You wanna go again? And just pushed our restraints down and off we went! That was pretty cool.
They are usually pretty good for that!
i dont know what he is talking about its the best
not my cameo at 7:09 and 9:25
I still wonder why the neighbours don´t complain about having a launchtrack right in front of their balconies, when they successfully managed to kill the Arrow Coaster in the same location?!
Most of what’s right next to the launch track is not residential and much of it is owned by LPS as admin and office space
I'm pretty sure much of the noise complaints stemmed from the anti-rollback mechanism on the lift Hill which is much louder than a drive tyre launch. If they had installed a silent version like they did with Drachen Fire at BGW, there's a good chance that '95 Big Dipper wouldn't have shut down and been relocated.
I know that they had site limitations but the queue line layout and overall theme is the drizzling craps. Tis a fun ride but after riding it, the re-ride value is zero.
I find that big dipper gets smoother earlier in the day and if you're on the blue train.
Sorry, this video is sponsored by the red train supremacy gang
@@MaloneysCoastersI have rollback footage of the blue train because it's just that cool
Does Luna park have a maintenance schedule? I couldn’t see anything on the it website.
No, they don’t have a regular maintenance schedule
@@MaloneysCoasters is there a chance that the major rides may be closed when I’m going? I’m going during the October school holidays.
@@fruityhangout5940 only if there’s some sort of issue. LPS isn’t open every day during term so they do their maintenance midweek. As long as there are no problems with the rides, everything should be open (except Wild Mouse)
