I really think The Dice Tower is in such a good spot in terms of talent and content. This is the type of video that makes me happy to support the channel each year. Keep up the good work.
Haven't played Weather Machine yet but I feel like you are asking one of the most important review questions: "Where is the fun?" Running a weather machine should be FUN and CONSEQUENTIAL, even in the middle of a complex Euro. For some people what's there will be enough, or they'll enjoy it as part of the overall web of processes. But for some it will be a letdown, and both views are completely valid. Don't take crap from anyone.
I played Weather Machine quite a bit more now and it's really starting to click for me. Currently I rate it a 9 on BGG and I can only see it going up from there with more play. Definitely another amazing game from Lacerda, but I do agree that this one took slightly longer to land. The way you can work towards some crazy combos is with actions is very satisfying and pulling in a bunch of points makes it exciting to me. Of course not every game is for everyone, but you might want to give this one another try. It's not about fixing the weather completely, but about optimizing with what you got and the state of the board to influence the weather as much as possible and pull in the most points. I'd say that's also thematic since the weather in real life for sure cannot be fully controlled, and if we would try we would also cause chaos. Very satisfying puzzle for me.
It wouldn't be possible for me to make a list like this, but I can say I backed Wayfarers, so it would be a "most anticipated" one for me, and I do indeed like it a lot.
I really like Autobahn but the rulebook kind of sucks and there are a couple of annoying rules (gas stations only giving you the highest money if your truck passes them, dont get delivery bonuses until next turn etc.). Its a shame because the core systems are really fun but I feel like it needed more time to tighten the rules.
Aeons End Legacy of Gravehold was fantastic for my wife and I. As soon as we finished it she asked if we had a reset pack there's the other side. Unfortunately i didnt get it with the kickstarter
Totally disagree about Verdant. It has all the tension that Calico has but with less luck, and it isn’t as oversimplified and repetitive as Cascadia, so I’d play Verdant over either game in a heartbeat. I wouldn’t call it a favourite but it’s quite good.

I'm glad people enjoy it. I definitely had more fun with Weather Machine than Chris, but I couldn't quite recomend it.
