I remember Jeff Gordon switching with Montoya's Williams at Indianapolis. And like your video on Indycar, Jeff was amazed at the braking capabilities of an F1 car.....good stuff!
I’ve followed nascar sense 1990, had a buddy that following Jeff Gordon before he discovered NASCAR. Long story short your move to sports car and Indy car has given me a much needed reason to watch something different. I look forward to seeing you in open wheel more than watching a nascar race. I’ll probably end my race watching when you you completely walk away. Be safe, can’t wait to see your fist top 10!
Totally agree!! Have you ever raced 125cc TAG karts or Shifters? I wish those racing classes were more popular here in the United States like they are in Europe. They really give you that wow factor experience.
We love to see you getting better and better in IndyCar, Seven Time. It's an inspiration to anyone who loves racing, or anyone striving to do what ignites passion for living! Keep it up, thanks for your open and honest feedback of your experience!
Why not, you already had 7 Cup Championships. It looked like the 8th Cup was gonna be very difficult to win. You were with the right Car Owner in Cup. You had a great Opportunity with Open Wheel in CGR. Get a top 10 finish at Indy and your on the way to good things in Open Wheel.
I wasn't a fan when I followed NASCAR, but I've always respected you as a driver. My respect is growing as I learn more of why you chose to move to IndyCar.
Jimmie I think you'd be way more competitive just driving the ovals and racing Long Beach for a NASCAR guy crossing over to IndyCar. I would love to see you tear up the ovals and giving guys like Dixon and Newgarden a run for their money.
He would need a Super License to compete in Formula 1. Unless you want to finance an F2 car for him, he's unlikely to ever get one. Either that or he'd need to collect points for a couple of seasons in a junior classification.
That would have been fun to see. Those F1 drivers are amazing. I wouldn’t like being the jack man, seeing those cars fly into the pits and stop on a dime, right at the jack man’s feet, wow ! One false move and I’d be a midget😜
Jimmy your a race junkie. Your love to race and know you can win. Why else switch from NASCAR to Open Wheel racing. To my knowledge your the first to go that path. Smoke, Danica, Sam Horish, Amirelo, Robbie Gordon, (well he drives anything) Juan Paublo, and many more transferred from open wheel to NASCAR. I cannot recall a NASCAR driver going the opposite like you are. Maybe you could do what few have done. Win the Daytona 500 and Indy 500.
how Jimmie Johnson keeps giving me the urge to watch his videos

This has made me such a fan of yours. I'm pulling for you!

Saw the title and thought this was going to be about Grosjean lmao
Bruh
I knew he was going to talk about the Alonso car swap. I remember the look of ecstasy on his face after driving that car.
That would been f1 literally lit the fire for him to drive Indy car
I see what you did there
Lit the fire around me
F1 is so good it made one of the best nascar drivers ever to switch series😂

What sorts of circuits do they race on?
Shifter kart racing is pretty big in the north and west part of the US.

What kinda dude shows off his championships, he's full of himself..
love u jimmay
GOAT! Doesn't get any better than this guy right here!! On and off the track he is a inspiration to so many.

once you tasted the best you want more of it.
Thank you for sharing that experience with your fans. Always been and will be a fan!
Cool stuff! When I think of race cars I think of open wheel.
Awesome video Jimmie
Jimmy, you have finally found why real racers say that once you have drives a REAL race car, everything else pales in comparison.
I love that sound
My question now is, how much faster would Jimmie Johnson be around Bahrain after everything he's learned in INDYCAR?
Quite a bit probably.
@@truedarklander True, but I still want to see the comparison.
@@arvincharles i mean also depends on wether you use the same car Alonso had back when they went or the new McLaren 😂
Go JJ!🏎️

Flexes with his trophies in the background
With seeing you racing for NASCAR it is such an honor to watch you race for NASCAR as THE 7 TIME CHAMPION.😎😎😁😁😀😀😃😃👍👍👍👍
I'm looking forward to see your progress!
Man shout out to Jimmie no matter what you race you will all ways be my hero
Keep at it JJ !!
Jimmie, I’d love to see you win a championship in Indy, that would be awesome and the icing on the cake.
that was great you and Fernando two true heroes
Jimmie Johnson you are the best😃😃😀😀😁😁👍👍👍👍
I wasn't a fan when I followed NASCAR, but I've always respected you as a driver. My respect is growing as I learn more of why you chose to move to IndyCar.
I remember watching that on Amazon
Jimmy keep up the great work what is the biggest thing with the Indy and Nascar? I bet the g-forces in the car.
I remember that
It’s like he’s born again lol
I feel like they added in the F1 car sounds, they don't sound like that anymore I don't think lol
Nah McLaren used an older car for this car swap, it's typical for F1 teams to use older cars for promotional stuff Red Bull does it a lot too
Jimmie I got a question for you but what u do think of Grosjean’s horrific crash in the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix
Hello
Jimmie I think you'd be way more competitive just driving the ovals and racing Long Beach for a NASCAR guy crossing over to IndyCar. I would love to see you tear up the ovals and giving guys like Dixon and Newgarden a run for their money.
Who else has their
I wanna drive an open wheel! Where's my chance?
This awesome Jimmie you can go to the truck series and formula one

@@petercollins7730 how long would the junior route take?
@@ntl9974 If he was moderately successful, probably three years.
He could obtain the necessary points in IndyCar, although that isn't a typical route.
it was a fun practice for you that day; f1 doesn’t sound like that anymore though :(.
I KNEW IT!
IVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS BUT HAD NO PROOF!
Ok
F1 guys be like - "Ha! One upping Indycar once again!"
That would have been fun to see. Those F1 drivers are amazing. I wouldn’t like being the jack man, seeing those cars fly into the pits and stop on a dime, right at the jack man’s feet, wow ! One false move and I’d be a midget😜
You are the best driver ever
Keep at it! Bummer you're not doing the Indy 500, next year!

hello
I hate NASCAR, love F1. Jimmie is a cool guy.
Well then why are you a coward at the Indy 500?
