He honestly would have been good at it if he took a big swing and done it earlier but euro F1 would have never took the chance or even entertained the idea. Yeah like open wheeler racing, and F1 in particular, is to automobile racing what something like MMA is to boxing. In open-wheelers your age starts to catch up with you much much earrlier than it does in other types of racing. Like Fernando Alonso is 6 years Jimmie's junior, and I remember when he returned to F1 this year there were plenty of fans and journalists who thought he was gonna be too old for F1 and would struggle to stay competitive. Even Lewis Hamilton, who is only 36 right now and just won his 7th driver's championship last year, has people talking about their retirement already. I'd love to see Johnson make the move over to F1, but I cant help but think he'd struggle to compete with some drivers in F1 who may not be as good a driver as he is, but who just have age on their side.

One Formula 1 car race generates on average $230 Million Dollars in Revenue (Or on average 10 times more than any other League per event). Formula 1 stands on a league of its own! To compare it or to even mention it close to any other form of car racing is absurd. Not even close! The amount of technique, technology, and even the driver's endurance and physical state needs to be is unmatched.
I don't think a lot of people know but you can qualify for F1 License off Nascar alone but you have to have won 2 of the last 3 championships and finish 3rd in the other at worst to have enough points
F1 cars have so much downforce, it must feel like you are driving a slot car. Add the power steering and an F1 car must be an absolute blast to drive! An IndyCar has a lot less aero downforce and slower cornering speeds, but that allows for closer racing with the intent of more passing and fewer processional races.
Kevin Magnussen outqualified Jimmie with no knowledge of IndyCar’s, I think it’s good that Jimmie didn’t get into F1, if he’s slow in Indy, he’d be awfully slow in F1, with all due respect.
Going from Stock Car racing to Open Wheel racing is like going from football to baseball. They're 2 completely different things. Jimmie naturally is gonna struggle. F1 couldn't care less what country a driver comes from if hes very fast. The reason why American drivers rarely get into F1 is because they are wedded to American domestic racing which does not prepare a driver properly for F1. Doing ovals and dirt track racing is no preparation for F1. They need to go to europe or Japan and compete in karting , F4, F3 and F2 to learn about the basics of F1 driving and show their ability against others. Its too easy for America and and American drivers to say I am amazing your anti American . Zak I am sure would love to pick an American driver and Pato Oward is a Mclaren driver who did compete in Europe and Japan but he wasnt good enough . Just like Colton Herta , unfortunately , was in the same team as Lando Norris , Carlin , and Lando won the F3 championship in his rooky year after karting in Italy. Americans need to support their drivers better to get that experience and not just look at Indycar or Nascar as the goal.

I actually think Montoya did a phenomenal job in NASCAR. I can think of 6-7 races that he should have won, if either this or that didn’t happen.
