    Don't know if anyone has suggested this but when covering a casserole with foil that has cheese on the top, spray the foil with Pam or non stick spray to prevent cheese from sticking to foil while baking.

    I LOVE this recipe. I have been making this for years but I like it with a whole onion. This recipe is like another take on a tater tot casserole. It is also good to serve it with sour cream on top of it after it's done cooking. Or you can mix in some sour cream into the condensed mushroom soup mixture instead of the can of milk. It's DELICIOUS!

      Hi,
      You can definitely add veggies to your casserole based on your liking. For our family it depends on the type of casserole I'm making. Sometimes I'll serve a garden salad on the side, string bean's or mixed vegetable medley. In some of my other casserole dishes I have veggies mixed in such as my Chicken and Stuffing casserole, Chicken Noodle casserole and my classic Sheppard's Pie casserole. I'll put the link to my casserole Playlist below for your reference. Hope that helps 🙂. Enjoy! Casseroles: ruclips.net/p/PLj3zvaJSGl-ptJzc12zDvKp_R-PoS7FfV

    Why would you bake this for that long!? Everything is already cooked, wouldn't you just need to heat it though and melt the cheese, (12-15 mix MAX)?

    • @dyvonnescookingforthefamil9498
      @dyvonnescookingforthefamil9498  Год назад

      When baking a thicker or double layer casserole like this one it needs more than 12-15 minutes to get hot and bubbly throughout the casserole. Especially in the middle of the casserole. The casserole may be warm, but it won't be very hot (a hot casserole allows the cheese to melt completely in the center). The same would apply if you were making a lasagna from scratch. Although all the ingredients are done, the dish would need to bake for more than 15 minutes to come together properly. Hope this information helps.

  • @missys199
    @missys199 Год назад

    That's super easy. Only it needs a lot more spices then what you're using. You're also doing a lot of extra work. There's no need to peel the potatoes. Just cut out the bad spots, wash them good and slice. No need to boil the potatoes first either. You're basically making scalloped potatoes with added beef. Which sounds good with homemade from scratch Garlic bread, a salad and some made from scratch chocolate caramel crescents. Oh and as for the beef and potatoes I'm gonna add a layer of bacon and sour cream in there. And I think make one layer of cheese Provolone and the top layer Mozzarella topping with bacon, fresh parsley and celenteo
