@@MasonBrumbaugh It shouldn't. He gave his best effort and the defender got just enough of a touch to stop him. There were many errors earlier in the game which get diminished by plays near the end.

Their d line is good, but Ok state’s o line is also soft. They were struggling to block Oklahoma last week.

Good football game. The action really picked up late in the fourth quarter. The Cowboys were just inches from winning the conference and possibly a playoff spot. Great ending

As OSU fan this hit me hard. but Baylor deserves the win. Great effort by both teams. I am proud with my Cowboys!

@@lightyagami3492 guess we will never know. cincinnati was a group of 5 team and the committee has shafted teams outside of the power 5 conferences before. oklahoma state's resume was very good and really outweighed cincinnati's accomplishments on paper but since ok st didnt win, we will never know how they would decide

I had the same reaction. The runner had plenty of momentum. Instead of trying to beat the defender to the corner, he should have just lowered his shoulder and taken the defender into the end zone with him.

His adrenaline was running. It's like a fist fight, everything happens fast and auto pilot just takes over.
He did the right thing. McVea was unblocked, and could have made the tackle in the backfield. But he got sucked inside and upfield just a bit, Jackson bounced to the edge, and we watched an epic foot race to the corner.
Brutal day for Ok State's offense. I'm torn on ND or Baylor for the playoffs, but I think Baylor deserves it more.
Neither ND or Baylor deserve in over a Georgia or Alabama that loses in the championship game.

Nothing Sloppy about Baylor’s performance. Just a stout defense. Keep that talk for OSU. Baylor picked off Spencer sanders 7 times in 2 games. That’s called scheme and a game plan.

Those two completely reckless INTs thrown by OKState in the 1st half were the difference. Aside from one other touchdown thats really the only time Baylor was able to find the endzone. OKState's defense was awesome just like they've been all season. Has to be devastating knowing their offense handed Baylor 14 points. Smh

I've lost track of how many times over the years the Big 12 has sabotaged itself with its own championship game, where its best team suffered a devastating upset. For a few years, they actually dropped the championship game for just that reason.
Baylor is it’s best team unfortunately for you. Two great defenses but you can’t win with Spencer sanders. Baylor’s offense was marginally better all year and that was the difference. Everyone needs to stop acting like Ok St was so much better than Baylor. These teams were very evenly matched

@@Willbo-ft6oy The Big 12 got away with one this year because Oklahoma State wouldn't have made the playoff even with a win. Both Baylor and Oklahoma State got New Year's Day bowls. But if Cincinnati, Alabama or Michigan had lost, it would have been a disaster for the Big 12.

Since 1996 when the Big 12 started…….Texas has 3 Conference Championships in football………since 2013…….Baylor has 3. Look it up.
Oklahoma state is the better team. Baylor was better today. Great game plan. Outstanding defense today. The DLine owned OSU’s offensive line which resulted in 4 picks. Great game.

Oklahoma state is not a better team. They are pretty evenly matched all things considered. oK states defense is elite. There offense though is mid and has been all season. Baylor’s defense is not elite but VERY good. Their offense is better than OSUs. All things considered these teams are very evenly matched.

The ending cannot be as anticlimactic as it gets. The running back thought he had an easy pathway to the end zone and the safety comes over and stops him before he gets to the pylon. Great win by Dave Aranda and the Baylor Bears. Now, if Alabama goes down to Georgia in the SEC title game, then Notre Dame would steal the last remaining spot in the CFP

That Baylor redzone/goal line defense looked solid. OSU offense is not very good though. They really haven't been good all season.. so there's no telling if they would be able to get multiple stops in the Redzone like that if they were playing a top 10 offense. Regardless, what a game!
