Ewers had an off day. Receivers had an off day. The defense was inconsistent. Sarkisian should've used Card since Ewers was off and could not run. So many penalties and the refs certainly let Texas know about it. Bad day for Texas. Gundy had his team disciplined, and what a gritty performance by Sanders. One or two more losses coming for Texas, as I predicted. Texas is a solid 4 loss team this year. I'd love to see Texas recruit a legit dual-threat QB. It’s so strange how it seems like they always play a great 1st half and then fall flat in a 2nd half. Almost like each game sark and company huddle up at halftime to figure out how they’re gonna mess it all up this time. A clear composure and toughness issue is there in the closing periods. Ewers also looked really suspicious out there. I get that it was windy but there’s no way he plays that much worse than spencer sanders (also throwing in windy weather ofc). And the only throws he managed to make were quick swing passes in screen outlets that ironically were shredding Oklahoma states defense covering up his issues in the 1st half. Then all the sudden Sark seems to force long ball after long ball in the second half when clearly Ewers was not gonna make them. If I’m sark I notice that my guy is having an off day and stick with what works until it’s proven to be stopped.

I don’t care how talented they are. Especially when they are talented, because they don’t have to try very hard to win in high school. Then they get to college and play against an entire team on their level. It’s a different game and it takes more than a couple starts to have the growth needed to succeed.

i didn’t want either to lose but i do feel bad for texas lol. it’d be different if they sucked and got criticized, in that case they should. but they are actually a good team that CAN beat pretty much anyone. idk if it’s in the water on campus or they’re getting brainwashed by 5G or what😂 but they’re so exciting to watch and they are always in position to beat very good teams but always shoot them selves in the foot, multiple times when the have the chance to win. it’s not like they couldn’t control it/they played their best the other team was just better, it’s always self inflicted. they would/could be top5-top10 rn if they knew how to not blow it. they could have ruined bamas whole season and changed the expectation of theirs. even today coming in with 2 loses and if you beat a top 10 team, nothing is impossible if you win out. but now 5-3 probably unranked the teams spirit is probably broken. BUT it’s a new coach playing with an old coaches recruitments, the same guys that were brutal last year are now competing with the best teams this year. that’s a sign of good coaching so they should be excited when he starts recruiting HIS guys. but also… S.E.C. sooo..😬 happy for them when they beat OU at least😂

After reading the comments let me just say this....Texas IS on the come up, and they are looking to be more dominant then ever before, and our history already triggers people to the core since people who don't even know where UT is LOVES to hate on Texas. Every team has its sucky period, OKST, Alabama, had and will again. These things don't last forever, but I can see Texas being the next Alabama for the next 2 decades solely because our mistakes are self inflicted, not because the other team is necessarily better. All Texas needs is discipline and we'll be more than SEC ready. I certainly don't see Texas suffering as bad as OU will suffer tho...Biggest self-destruction of a program i've ever seen. Be honest with yourself, as of rn and in the future, who looks to be a tougher contender for the SEC? I think we got Bama's vote. All and all as a die hard fan, I'm really excited for our Horns, future looks only better and better.

Also to those hating on Sark, um if hudson was the better option to win games then he would be starter period, he's a suitable back up, but Ewers overall is the better arm talent, and yall act like the college greats before him never had rough games on the ROAD to a number 11 team in the country. Ewers also barerly played in his collegiate career, he needs all the experience, the winning part, and the losing part, then we'll find out what kind of player/person Ewers is. No matter how hyped Arch is for college ball, he not gonna win every game in college.

    • @Evil_Pixl

@@21kindness45 I can agree with a few things you’ve said… Ewers will be a great qb if they give him time… Sanders was not good when he first came to Okstate but now he’s not bad.
Coaching however is bad, Texas made some bad decisions which ultimately falls on the coach. Mike Grundy did an exceptional job considering sanders has a mild shoulder injury and we had 6 injuries coming into this game.
Penalties for sure were a problem for Texas… Oklahoma state had 2 penalties, 1 was declined the other was offset. Texas had 14 penalties, 10 of them being prior to the snap of the ball.
I don’t think Texas will be a very dominant team in the future personally…. I do think that Okstate is on the rise though.. it seems like it was only a few seasons ago that Okstate was almost an unheard of team that never did anything spectacular but these past two seasons Okstate has only been getting better and I think a lot of that is simply because of mike gundy
