How do you get a job in OSU athletics? What was your major and what do you do? I’m getting close to ending HS and I’m trying to figure out what I want to do.
I enjoyed the tour of Gallagher Iba Arena. It doesn't look anything like it did when I went there as a freshman recruit back in 1957. Our freshman class included Lew Wade, Dick Soergal, Dennis Walker, Jack Hollingsworth, and a few others. Those names may or may not be familiar, but also playing during those years was Eddie Sutton (a junior) and Mel Wright (a senior). The Cowboys beat KU that year in Gallagher Iba Arena when Wilt Chamberlain played for KU.
Yes, there is a lot of history in that building. Mr. Iba was the coach and Sam Aubrey was the freshman coach.
A lot of water has gone under the bridge. I still think about how I spent 1957.

As a kstater I’ve always felt okst was our mirror twin. Okst has Outstanding offense but usually gives up a lot of points. Kstate usually has very solid defense but struggles to move the ball.

Woah! As a student of OKState I invite everyone to tour the Mathematics and Statistics departments in the same campus. No money, barely any repairs to a crumbling building, and cobwebs that have been building up for years. C’mon OSU, I know football brings in the $$$, but we need a little love too. 😂😂😂

Im in the sociology dept on campus inside Murray Hall, and Im loving seeing all that tuition money get used on the football team instead of the academics
@jace sally It's a joke. Unless your school is straight dog 💩, the football program makes the most revenue. That revenue goes back to the program (of course) but when a locker room has 50 flat screens and a bunch of arcade systems, while other departments are often canned, you start to wonder why can't they disburse the $$$
It was funded mainly by Boone Pickens. "RIP" he donated hundreds of millions for the facility.

You should tour Ohio states facility at some point. It's been recently updated like last year or maybe longer but they added some great stuff! They also added a room dedicated to ‘the game’ rivalry.
