My high school coach's tip was "don't pull your chest UP to the bar, pull your elbows DOWN to your waist." It gets rid of the shrug and engages your entire back chain. 20 years later and he's still barking in my head. Thanks Coach!

I see you might be learning english? I have tips for you if it helps.
It should just be "I appreciate" and put "thx for the tag" instead.
Using "appreciate" doesn't really sound right here on it's own though, you have to say "i appreciate" followed up by the thing you appreciate or just referring to it as "this" or "that" or "you" if you're saying you appreciate the person.
Should be more like "I appreciate you tagging me" or something along those lines.
And "I'am" isn't an english word.
      Good luck.

The thing that worked for me was finding out I had lat amnesia. Then the Mountain Dog channel on RUclips has a video on how to feel your lats. Once I did what he said in the video it was viola. I could feel my lats first time in 28 years of life. Once I knew how they felt then it was easy to turn them on. Started with negatives and then could do pull ups using lats easily. Pull ups are lot easier with lats pulling up compared to other muscle group.
Edit: The video I mentioned was this “ Can't Activate Back Muscles | How 2 Solve That Problem” by MountainDog1.

I started working out again for a few weeks. I went from living life as a gamer sedentary lifestyle, to gym spammer. I changed my diet as well.
After 2 weeks I focused on form and what muscles I should hit. It meant my weights went down as I was now properly doing the excercise but sometimes you need to take a step back to go forward.
During cycling I focused on using my butt, during pullups the back, etc.
Right now, everything comes naturally. Cycling became easy because my butt is always activated now. During normal standing posture my upper abs and my lower back are naturally activated, while before I didn’t even feel them. Appearance wise I have not changed much, but mentally and physically I am A LOT stronger. Especially for someone that ate too little for years.
Keep going boys and girls. Keep believing in yourself. And even if you don’t look like the jocks in the gym; you’re already an anime character for being there, because most won’t go. B-E-L-I-E-V-E in YOU. YOU CAN DO IT AND I BELIEVE IN YOU NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK.
GO FIRST > LEARN PROPER FORM AFTER > FOCUS ON DIET AFTER THAT. Don’t go too fast heroes. Even heroes need breaks sometimes ❤. One step at a time.

I actually much prefer starting at the top and learning how to stay contracted on the way down when u couldn’t do pull ups my wrestling coach just told me to hold at like 90 degrees and I don’t think he realized how much that helped develop the strength to be able to actually start doing them, if you learn to hold at the top first everything else lines up better to be getting you there, again I’d recommend starting at the top in the most contracted position and slowly going down as far as your comfortable holding until you can use the proper muscles to be pulling yourself up
