Makes sense! The ibis wouldn’t be much help for vlogging though. Ibis is mainly a photography feature or for keeping a shot steady when you’re not trying to move. The zve10 does have active stabilization which would be much more effective for vlogging
@@erwinmarionneaux I tried the zve10 for a while and just didn’t like how shaky it was with my sigma lenses. And the digital stabilization cropped in too much for me.
Great video and channel. Love my ZV-E1. For the past year, I have been running it with a Viltrox 16mm 2.8. Works great with the Dynamic Stabilization. And it takes screw on filters. I dont think it works with the breathing compensation though.
Use the Nisi true color variable ND. The 1-5 stop threads onto the lens, then an extra 4 stop filter slides on top, making it 5-9 that you can quickly take off to be 1-5 again
I tried that as well. The nisi filters don’t support lenses wider than 18mm and no wider than 20mm when you add the additional filter on top. I also tried a similar setup with polar pro. I prefer their filters but ultimately didn’t like having an extra filter to manage taking on and off
This video is pure gold. Did you ever consider the 18mm Zeiss F2.8 lense. I am not sure how wide I need to go for vlogging but also want wide aperture to use it for creative touch when taking pictures.
I thought about the zeiss lens but it isn’t compatible with focus breathing compensation so it didn’t make the list. It’s a solid option other than that though!
@@erwinmarionneaux I didnt know that its not fully supported, thank you for that. Until I win the lottery to afford the GM16-35 the PZ Version in F4 will be the way to go. Also the power zoom might open up some possibilities.
@@erwinmarionneaux where do you pull all these lenses from. Love it, although the step up to 50mm F1.8 prime lense will be quite big. I want to keep my travel bag as small and light as possible.
you forgot viltrox 16mm f1.8 for vlogging. best sense. choice ist probably 16-35f4 because it ois. If you combine the oil of the lens with dynamic IS you have gimbal cam
I didn’t forget it, I’ve used it for a while to try it out. I have a few issues with it but mainly the fact that I can’t use focus breathing compensation, the size of the lens, not being able to maximize stabilization, and the hassle of using f1.8 made it not worth considering for me personally
Hello Bro. I am a top content creator and I use a GoPro and Pixel8 phone. I need a tripod that works with both. What would you recommend. I subscribed ❤
An 11mm or 12mm would be perfect for apsc for vlogging if you don’t want to go tighter than a true 24mm because after the apsc & active stabilization crop you’ll be at about ~22mm & ~24mm respectively. Sony makes an 11mm f1.8 at about 500$ if anyone’s interested. This is what I’m aiming to get for my “perfect” vlogging set up
What would be your perfect vlogging setup?
FX30 with the Sigma 10-18mm f/2.8 or the Sony 11mm f/1.8.
@marvinandrew solid! Why the fx30 over the zve10 II?
@@erwinmarionneauxI’d pick it for the ibis.

My set up: the meta ray ban glasses(clutch), DJI osmo pocket 3. I have a dedicated old Nikon film camera and 13pm

I’ve ran that combo a few times! It looks real 🔥

please can you make a comparison between
sony zv e1

you make a good content !

There’s the 16-25mm f2.8 for the same price as the pz as well, that saves you a lot of money from buying the GM lens

Once again good advice Young man. I’m a Canon guy, so some of the advice is universal
I appreciate it! That’s why I always try to share philosophy, that way people can apply it to whatever they use
Very helpful !
Can we get a cinematic vlog on the Osmo 3 please? I want to see how I can make my gym videos fly.

Yup! I talk about this in the video
The pocket 3 is so elite
Solid option for sure!
All you really need for vlogging, lightweight, has a gimbal etc
12mm is my go to lens for my FX30.
Which 12mm did you go with?
Great video! Have been through a similar thought process. Ended up with the Sony ZV-E1, the Sony 16-25 2.8 and the Ulanzi TT38 tripod. Loving it.
Thanks! Glad you were able to dial your setup in!
ZV-E1 + Sigma 17mm f/4
Interesting! Like the size of the sigma?
@@erwinmarionneaux yes, because large setups stay at home
What about the Sony 11mm f1.8?
@@erwinmarionneaux good for APS-C (I have the ZV-E10 and 11mm f1.8), but for a dream setup, it's to go full frame
It also works on the zve1 with stabilization applied. The stabilization wouldn’t work with the sigma lens
