We climbed Moldoveanu peak the same day you uploaded this video! What a coincidence 😄 I agree with you, It was quite a detox, took us 13h45 to complete it.
14h - I'm impressed. Well done. I could not lower it under 18h including the breaks and lunch. Last year I did it in 16h with no lunch or long breaks. How do you feel after? Me, sad because we had almost no icy snow at Podul Giurgiului. Last year because of the icy snow after 5pm it felt like in the movies. The cold air sparing with the hot sun.
@JetSetYourself Yeah, there was only a bit of snow near the lake. Anyway on the way back we got hit by a strong storm and the path was like a river, so it's quite memorable. When we finally did it, it was a huge relieve because 2000m elevation gain is far from easy :)
@michaello258 uh, I had rain as well but not as bad as you. If that's OK with you for me to point this out. If you did Bâlea Lake - Moldoveanu - Bâlea Lake then you have 2290m elevation gain in total with 26km in total. You did way more than just 2000m 😂💪
@JetSetYourself We used yellow path to Fereastra Zmeilor which started at around 1650m altitude. Using this path, it was only 2000m elevation gain in total and 25km, so a bit easier than the usual route.
Dear friend, I have watched your videos for a long time now. I am off to salzburg and then innsbruck, are there any must-do via ferratas you would reccomend? looking for a similar spiritual journey ;)
Hello friend. Thank you! I need to know your difficulty level limit to be able to recommend something tailored. Also, important is the time you have available. Ideally you will stay away from the turist traps. If you are in the area this weekend or the weekend after maybe you join me and another viewer to the channel and we climb together Renke 2 (most probably we will do it this weekend before I leave Austria and venture deep into Italy, but let's see, nothing is set).
@@JetSetYourself thanks for the reply! there are two of us going but we've done lots of climbing and scrambling before. sadly we will only arrive on sunday so will probably miss you, but will be there for two weeks. which ones are the tourist traps worth avoiding? thank you for your reply by the way!!
As someone that has this happen few months ago, I can totally relate

O voi spune in romana pentru a nu se pierde din esenta:
daca simti ca locul tau este acolo, inseamna ca esti pe drumul cel bun.
Toate cele bune!

Glad you recovered, thank you for the video.
Still work in progress but getting there. Clearly in a better place now. Obviously it comes at a cost.
@@JetSetYourself Same here, I'm still recovering
