Watch a condensed version of the Daytona 500 from Daytona International Speedway, which started the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season as one of the closest finishes in Daytona 500 history.
+Xavier Brock true, have some other stuff that nascar made that sucks but the race was great and was all good. Have some people that never watch F1 lol they don t no what is realy boring
+Xavier Brock my only complaint with nascar is the damn chase.... never liked it. the champion should be decided by who does the best all season long, not 10 races, not 5, not 1.. haven't watched it much since.
+akshooter762 I was okay with it when it was the top 10 or 12 to race for 10 races because it was a legit playoff system for NASCAR but the new elimination thing is irritating as hell, especially when the best driver all year long can be eliminated after the first round
Oh course they don't show the #93 and #34 wreck. Yes we all know it reminded us of Sr's crash but it's a great example of how the technology has changed since then, but apparently there is something wrong about the wreck that they can't show it in a recap? Overall great finish at the end!
How do you think Jeff felt when he saw Chase get into the grass? It has to be a little heartbreaking to see your former number and a driver with such potential get taken out in such a way
Possibly the last pure Daytona 500. No GWC. The last Daytona 500 without stages. The last Daytona 500 where horsepower and cooperation truly meant something. The last Daytona 500 with basically zero gimmicks. All those things considered, and we STILL got the CLOSEST finish in 500 history.
lol the guys up in the booth were talking about harvick's incredible save and then seconds later, chase elliot looses it hahahahahahaha…illuminati confirmed!!!
Has anyone thought about not getting rid of the grass, but doing something about the splitter? The cars before 2008 didnt have a splitter and there wasnt a problem with the grass
The splitter creates a lot of the downforce without which they'd be loose and spinning every second. Take your pick faster better handling or slower looser car not to mention the car taking flight every time they enter the infield(Ryan newman, eliot sadler)
The Stig on NASCAR - "the variation is incredible. You have everything from a half-mile oval to a two-mile super speedway and everything in between. That takes a huge breadth of driver talent to handle all of those conditions. That’s point one. Plus, they have the road-course races, the driver has to be multi-skilled to cope with all those different scenarios. Also, the racing is constant. Even in Formula One, obviously the cars are very quick, but there are long periods of time when drivers are really not fighting for their position. They can’t make mistakes, but they’re not fighting for every inch of tarmac. Only NASCAR has that where the cars are so closely matched that they are really nose-to-tail, side-to-side, wheel-to-wheel and everybody is depending on everyone around them. There’s really no other feeling like it when you’re three-abreast and three-long and feeling the weight of the aerodynamics of the cars around you. It’s pretty unbelievable. It’s as wild a ride as you can get in racing.... I had a really good run testing that car. I’d say it was the best experience I’ve had in racing, apart from actually crossing the line first. The buzz of driving a top-level NASCAR - the feeling you get through the engine and the power and the precision - was unlike anything else I’ve ever done, and I’ve tested Formula One cars."
Why do NASCAR fans complain over every stupid little thing. I thought the race was great and the finish was amazing. And I'm a Junior fan.

No it was because there isn't a good camera angle of it
How do you think Jeff felt when he saw Chase get into the grass?

You could tell from his commentary that he was upset about it
Man what a race that was

Would love to hear the JGR guys and truex radio
JGR 1-5 most of the race oh and Truex and Kenseth hooked up and worked their way up front to join their teammates!
Full races returning?
They didn't bother to give credit to regain smiths amazing save when chase Elliot wrecked. Regan smith made an amazing save
That Royal ad... please stop
best finish ever

NASCAR nascar nascar awesome!!!!

+D4nkfury I herd that even the drivers want to get rid of the infield grass!
But the splitter makes the car go just that much faster that no drivers would voluntarily take of the splitters.
The splitter creates a lot of the downforce without which they'd be loose and spinning every second. Take your pick faster better handling or slower looser car not to mention the car taking flight every time they enter the infield(Ryan newman, eliot sadler)
This fucking grass. Either it needs to go or raise the splitter
Exciting!
Earnhardt come on man get out of this slump and let's go back to the day when you where just #8
The Stig waved the chequered flag...
Some say that he's never watched an F1 race because he's a huge NASCAR fan. All we know is, he's called the Stig.
