Definitely an unorthodox way to put a car in a windtunnel, but the engineers need to put one sideways in the off season and check for high pressure development between the underside and the skirt. A feed tunnel routing air toward the diffuser from about mid window to the rear diffuser, and reshape the rear diffuser to a reduction to expansion from in front of the rear axle to the diffuser exit. Add: Converging/diverging section for the diffuser. Couldn't remember my vocab. At any rate, these things are turning into sails going around. Not a good design.
the 2 car has come back down , the 4 car continues to go up and over. - suggestion--- make the back window open 6 to 8 inches up hinged at center to help slow air over the top of the rear of the car.. maybe even keep the small side window (rear- behind post ) always open? maybe that would help wind go thru instead of over the car. all this would happen as soon as a car slides 90 degrees sideways. dont let it go reverse or rear end into wind. (( looking at time stamp 2:56:07 )) ...
How could anyone hate how Leah Diffey called this race. He did a fantastic job. The energy he showed, he showed to be knowledgeable, and that makes the race that much more interesting. I can't wait to see how he calls every race. It made one of the best races this season that much better
Ok the 34 was on sideways it was also nose on apron and tail on track the flap on the top would have made the top of the car move slower than the bottom whitch would have sent him upside down it closed when he was in the air that stopped him from going over the 4 car flap never closed you see it open As it hits the roof upside down
I know @nascar removed the backstretch grass for safety but that why the sport is entertaining the flips and the wrecks but now dogshit (not calling the sport bad btw just wanted to say this not a hater comment I love the sport in any way) at least josh berry flipped upside down that action
