  • Travelling a little further afield than normal, we set off to Lake Vyrnwy & then the waterfall situated on the western side named Rhiwagor. After finishing here, we drove towards the dam for a quick few images, before our final destination at Pistyll Rhaeadr. All in all, a really great day out which I hope you will enjoy.

Thanks Mark for the video and judging conversation. I belong to a small group of local photographers, we meet once a month, no subscription and all our images are voted on by our peers so no individual judge. I have heard that with more organised clubs they often get judges with preferential topics. I used to have a house in Machynlleth but never visited those locations but know of them. The drone footage was very impressive

Thanks Pete, interesting way of doing it & probably a better system as each will have their own preferences. I just enjoy photography for what it is & have no interest in competitions, but understand why other would. Hope to see more of your videos as they are a refreshing change from the norm 👍

Very nice Mark, only ever seen Pistyll Rhaeder from afar, I should make the effort to take a closer look.😊

Another enjoyable day Mark only if we could have had less wind my friend 😉. Great vlog and great captures with good composition which is a thing I fail on at times. And good drone footage from stunning locations, I was reluctant to fly the drone at the first waterfall perhaps a return visit one day.

Thank you very much Richard. Yes, it was a windy day, but still a great outing. Definitely well worth a return visit indeed.👍

Come on Mark, this is getting silly now, stop with all the great locations, I'm in the woods again 😫But seriously, awesome vlog, as always great location, great photos and video, Drone shots and great presenting , that Waterfall wow. Great chat this week, on this subject, I think be your own judge because everybody sees what they like, some people like stronger colours some like less saturated, and personally I have seen the worst photos taken on a potato get more likes and attention than professional ones, so who knows whats good anymore lol

Hahaha, thanks Keith. Yes, totally agree, but it,s the very reason I see it as farcical along with the main fact that I shoot for myself & if people like it, then great. 🙏👍
