- A Day In The Life Of Tim Cook.
When it comes to tech companies that have redefined the world, we have so many examples to look to from Silicon Valley. One such company is the behemoth known to the world as Apple. Founded in 1976, this tech giant grew exponentially over the course of the early 2000s to stratospheric levels with the help of visionary CEO Steve Jobs. In 2011, he stepped down, and he ultimately chose Tim Cook as his successor.
The pressures of taking the helm of one of the biggest companies globally while also living up to the high expectations Steve Jobs created meant this was no small undertaking. Thankfully, Tim Cook has had success in his role as the CEO of Apple. So, it’s time to understand a little bit more about the CEO and how he spends his days running the two trillion-dollar company.
This is a day in the life of Tim Cook.
Tim gets coffee at Starbucks*
The Starbucks waiter : What would you like, coffee or the company?
My good friend went through manager school at IBM with Tim in the early 90s. This is a mandatory three day offsite course you have to take before other employees can report to you. I asked him if anything about Tim stood out. He said the only thing that stood out about Tim was that he worked harder on every assignment and project than anyone else in the class.
"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On!' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."
@@ivroxxd in my country we say "ne jebe lijep nego uporan" which translates to "handsome guy doesn't get laid, but the persistent one does" and i think it is beautiful
@@ivroxxd Wow!
This man was born for this opportunity. The stars aligned perfectly for this man. He did an excellent job keeping Steve's legacy and vision alive and active at Apple.
Financially yes. But I don’t like him ruin apple software
@@ibluebox why do you say that fellow Canadian?
@@extremelucky1 I appreciate how polite you are
@@GRMREAP3R97 thank you friend!
@B O ꓭ I don’t think it’s fair to compare them. Steve was one of a kind, but Tim did learn a lot from him. He’s more business minded than Steve, he’s taken the company’s earnings to levels no one had imagined was possible. Under Tim’s tenure, Apple released AirPods, Apple Watch, Apple Music, Apple Pencil, AirTags, Silicon Macs, and many more. It’s hard to say he hasn’t been innovative. Not to mention the Apple Car.
Imagine eating lunch on your break and then Tim Cook comes and sits with you. You’re stuffing your face while Tim is just asking you questions lmao. On a real note, this is what a real leader looks like and I hope to work in marketing one day at Apple.
If I worked at Apple and my boss's boss's boss's boss's boss's boss's boss's boss's boss's boss's boss came and sat with me at lunch I'd shit bricks.
@@ADancingRobot I used to think like you. But after destroying the mentality of shyness I understood they shit like us and eat like us. Its just that they are lucky and we are not currently thats all
@@aghazarshahbazli6113 Nah they don't shit like us. Once a very successful ceo told me to wipe his ass, I know!
@@adityashandilya2789 Name and shame. Who is the a**hole that asked you to wipe his sh*thole?
You're not smart enough.
Sorry but no way to go through 800 mails quickly in the morning, calculate through it: if it took 30sec per mail he would fix 120 an hour and 800 per 6,6 hours, so IMHO this is BS
Auto routing emails
Select all and delete - 5 seconds
I don't think they meant he goes through them all. They said he just spends 1 hour going through the 800.
Just read the first line of an email and judge if the following lines are interesting enough to click on it and read it completely. If you are not able to efficiently communicate by email, then maybe you are not worth the time of the CEO
@@jcas No way man...you did see my calculation, even 10 seconds per mail would take 2.2 hours, this is nonsense.
Nice clean video. Very informative. Have subscribed. Thanks again!
What it comes down to is you have to be passionate about what you're doing and enjoy it enough that you don't mind it being your life, then you don't mind spending time on it. This is probably the only way anyone would want to go to bed at 8:45pm and wake up at 3:45am. The rest of us probably feel like we're missing out on something if we do not stay up as late as possible, but imagine having a magical job where you are passionate about what you are doing. Essentially, you are not missing out on anything in life after work, because work is such an enjoyable part of life already.
The concept of this channel is really really UNIQUE.
Haven't seen such channels lately. Good Going!
One of the most famous cooks in the world
I would have loved to have dinner with Steve Jobs. I’m sure I would have preferred to work with Tim Cook. As much as I loved how Jobs helped to saved Apple, Cook took it to the next level.
Also Cook’s schedule doesn’t seem to leave anytime to enjoy Apple TV+ or Apple Arcade. 😆
Drug seller do not consume
@@shynlord5238 LOL, I’m sure he has an iPhone and an Apple computer.
starting your day with 800 emails sounds absolutely miserable, no matter the money.
Great video. The number of people who would have stupidly mentioned he wakes up at 3:45 am without mentioning he goes to bed at such an early hour.... You know, the self-help BS type guys.
So, thanks for that ✌️
Man, idk how much of this information is truly accurate, I mean sure, this may have some semblance to the real thing, but we all know he isn't just working like a robot as mentioned in this video, idk what's with youtubers and pathetic videos about people whom they've never met and probably never meet
Of all the FAANG CEOs I tend to study Tim Cook the most.
So he goes to bed at 20.45 and gets up at 3.45. Wow, his husband/boyfriend must love him to bits. Man comes "home" at what? 19.30 (since he is the last to leave the office), eats (maybe) and goes to bed. Hi Tim, bye Tim.
That's a duke fan now. Yall better respect this man.
Glad to see Tim Apple enjoy running a huge corporation and meeting high profile politicians.
I like seeing people mention the Silicon Valley show
Thank you🙏
He is a hard worker
Thanks for the warning!!
He's the last to leave office, but he also goes to sleep at 8:45? Oh please... 😂
You’ve a point
This channel is way too underrated.
I agree ☝️
Apple is the only company that knows how to make hardware and software together in-house.
+Tesla
There are thousands that do...
@@lemmontree1 no
@@lemmontree1 yea but apple was the first one to stick by it Apple believes that a company that makes its own hardware should make its own software as well and many companies stick to that belief to this day because it works it’s the reason apple it’s a status symbol today it doesn’t run widows like everyone else it runs it’s own os
@@cyberjungle tesla doesnt make hardware. they just assemble the parts.
Love Tim Apple

@@joe.whiting02 heheheheh
One thing's for sure, he's not gonna be around forever so he better have a protegé, someone who's grown professionally within the company and is prepared enough to fill in his shoes when he decides he's had enough.
1:52 this is to get to the time i was yesterday so i can continue watching today
Thank you TIM 🎉
Awesome
Caption re-edit - The day Tim Cook let others monitor his daily life
Admired his leadership skills.
For some reason I find these videos really interesting.
Yes pro level. why so less views?
Same
Tim *does not* go to Starbucks. He gets his coffee at Apple Park like most Apple employees. Not sure about turkey bacon either, that's very high in sodium.
Other than that, this is pretty accurate.
He uses his hands 🙌 the most
Tim Cook’s life is reading thousands e mails.
I would probably sleep a little longer and just read my 800 emails at night… But then again it’s still night when he wakes up, so I guess it doesn’t matter!
If I understand this correctly, the modern day hero effectively works from 3.45 am till 8.45 pm, sleeps seven hours, no kids and as such "time consuming" family life. Now, I am an ordinary guy with three kids and a great wife (with all of whom I actually want to spend some quality time and not to be a "weekend parent/husband" only), who also happen to like to sit in the garden sometime and marvel at the beauty of nature. I guess he would not like to switch with me. I wouldn't with him either....:-)
Yes - and many of young people will follow Tim Cook's path. They will be like him except the money and position lol.
you only need to work such much for 12-16 hours per day, only when it is own business or your own company, otherwise no reason at all
That's It. He Doesn't Have A Family.
To be fair, a friend of mine has two kids, 6 and 3, he goes to bed with his kids or thereabouts - 9pm latest. He's up at 4.30am! It's certainly achievable.
Well you're comparing your family life with someone who is gay 🤭
Actually ran into him a couple of times at a Starbucks in Silicon Valley
imagine working at apple and he comes and sits next to you while u hold an android XD bruh hed fire u on the spot
Tim has missed most of new year's eve countdowns. I kid 👻
Where'd you get this insider info?
4:59 this made me laugh 😂😂
Nice to see this ,even not sure it is real or not
Tim Apple is hard at work.
😂
Cook has a good filter to only have that many emails emails.
Lol, how is he "always" the last person at the office at 8:45 pm?
Work hard party harder, I deserve a luxurious life...
Yes you're 💗👍
Making money is not just a science, but also an art. it is 30% science and 70% art. a fellow creator~~~~
He must’ve read Steve Jobs daughter comments going viral this morning too. Lol
Phenomenal content here. A book with related ideas was a key influence for me. "The Hidden Empire: Inside the Private Worlds of Elite CEOs" by Adam Skylight
Where did you get this information from?
dude def looks like an athlete)
Why does this feel like the Biff Tannen museum video in alternate 1985?
If I was paid what he gets paid, I too would have no problem getting up at 3:45am.
He wouldn’t be there if he didn’t
2:26 that's how you stay rich right there.
no one will be the same as tim cook.
Tim Cook looks a lot like Steve Jobs, he emulates Steve’s hand gestures , clothing and mannerisms.
Do you think Steve would have beaten Elon musk if he was alive?

Did he never had a meeting about Airpod's connectivity issues?
Wakes up at 3? He’d have to sleep at 7 pm to at least get enough of sleep
Me watching this on my iPad…
wondefull
I feel like the employees would be very nervous if he had lunch with them
The CEO of Apple is incredible and incredibly good.

A Day In The Life Of Tim Cook.... with clickbait thumbnail Elon Musk
seriously, I get Elon Musk is a popular guy right now, but can you show a little more respect to Tim Cook in his own video?
So as a normal consumer, how can I get the email address of Tim Cook?
I love Apple ❤️
I agree wit some … no way the ceo of Apple frequents at your local Starbucks and Nordstrom lol
I think I speak for almost everyone here. That when it’s time for new CEO. Tim would choose hair force one.
1:48 Did he just use Gmail on his phone?
