      Yes sir.. and DW will be out the door.. because how can you NOT resign him to a healthy contract if we win the AFC championship trophy 🏆 OR the SB.. how.. it will be awkward to bring DW back because not only will the players have to adjust back to his terrible habits and plays.. that will make players not want to play in a orange and brown uniform again with DW under center.. plus DW would give up like he did in Texas.. we know how sensitive he can be and felt left out.. so moving forward it would make sense to let the rookie DT delevelop.. until Joe Dirt retires and hang up the jersey and we will be good.. because DTR will come in after sitting and learning behind Joe Flacco and Kevin and do very well. And keep PJ Walter as the 3rd QB.. we will be good without Deshaun Watson.. plus we will have Jerrick back and Nicholas Jamal Chubb.. we be fine.. 🤷🤦

    Ravens Front Office and Coach ruined his reputation; did him dirty. Gave him lame offensive coaches, lame system to play under, and no prime weapons! But the man still should have went to SB in 2014 with zero weapons. They never supported him or gave him a real offensive coach. Look it up! Look up the number of terrible coaches he had to player though. It is a travesty. Only guys that supported out him out loud in the media were Suggs, Reed, Pitta, Pollard.

    • @SolidAvenger1290
      @SolidAvenger1290 5 месяцев назад +37

      As a Ravens fan, I felt that John Harbaugh tried to appease too many of the OL coordinators who still continued to fail after Gary Kubiak's tenure in 2014. He was the last coach who understood Flacco's playstyle, seeing it match Kubiak's West Coast Offensive schemes.
      Unfortunately, the lack of upkeep by the Ravens meant that Flacco had no options to spread the ball around, and his injuries only prolonged his decline in Baltimore. For Harbaugh, he likely believed that Flacco was getting slower & less aggressive as his starter QB amid Lamar's early stardom (Harbaugh wanted to transform the OL around Lamar as time went on).
      The Raven's front office got too overzealous with other topics and did not address the lack of weapons available as the seasons continued into the late 2010s. Also, Baltimore's front office had already developed a bad reputation with wide receivers throughout the league going into 2018 & beyond. Not many in free agency wanted to apply to the Ravens, hence why they looked at Lamar Jackson as a way to be both a passer & runner at the same time to cover these lingering issues. (Jackson might be at MVP levels, but he still had more issues when switching his gears between throwing the ball versus running the ball = increase in his fumbles/interception record)
      Reed, Pitta, and a few others who left the Ravens years ago know that Flacco deserved better over the past decade. Honestly, I think Harbaugh fears now in 2023 that Joe with the Browns will knock him & the Ravens off their pedestal at the Championship game.

    • @Andreas163
      @Andreas163 5 месяцев назад +8

      @@SolidAvenger1290 thats basically right, but it was Flacco's contract which limited the front office to sign some weapons.Truth is, Flacco never played like his contract after the SB needed him to. His best football was in playoffs usually and he was streaky. Dont forget the teammates he had, saying "no support by the front office" i can only partially agree.It just didnt work out, take a look at those draft picks. I remember several draft picks addressing WR, but no true threat emerged there too. After the SB story changed. I do loved Gary Kubiak, too bad Ravens werent able to keep him for a longer period.

      I'm in my 30s now and was in college when Flacco got drafted and followed the game during his prime years. Yet I couldn't name you one receiver that he had in his time at Baltimore - plenty of guys on those defenses, but nobody who he threw the ball to.

    • @jedimindtrix2142
      @jedimindtrix2142 5 месяцев назад +5

      @Andreas163 sometimes things just don't work out for one reason or another. Personal relationships sour and other issues off the field can really affect the play on the field. Flacco probably needed to move on from the Ravens sooner than he did to be honest. It's like a Baker Mayfield and Browns type of thing. It's not that Mayfield was or is a bad QB. It was other issues between him, the FO and the coaching staff that culminated in his trade. All that aside I think the Browns are on a direct collision course with Flacco at the helm to show the Jets what's up lol. Soon after the Ravens are gonna be on the plate too. We are about to see one of the the single most legendary playoffs I think we have ever seen.

      @@bear458ziif-s I am going to highly disagree with you on that. He never had a supporting cast. No offensive coach, no WR's, his offensive-line was mediocre at best. He was in the exact same situation Aaron Rodgers was. The only reason Rogers was better is because obviously Rogers is more talented. It's not a mark against him for there's always going to be people that are more talented than you. Although if we're going by pure arm talent; I think Joe could give him a run for his money. Just look at Baker Mayfield. The Browns never really gave him a cast. They gave him some talent, the offense line being the biggest but in terms of the wide receiving core; it was always banged up and outside of two players wasn't very deep..... He goes to Tampa with a fringe hall of Famer and a deep WR room he looks good out there.

The Browns were the PERFECT situation for a guy like Flacco. They have one of the best defenses and are one of the most talented young rosters in the entire NFL. They also have an offensive-minded HC in Stefanski. This team has been like 5 or so years in the making, and all of their core players are in their absolute prime right now. This is a QB’s DREAM situation honestly- the Browns just needed a confident, poised QB who could sling from the pocket. It’s really AMAZING to watch this happen..

    Flacco was leading the league in passing the first 4 games of the season last year with the Jets. But in Jet s fashion decided to completely kill their passing game and go back to losing on purpose with Zach Wilson.
    After a disastrous signing of Watson, Flacco has quickly been to me what seems like the best Quarterback option the Browns have had in decades. I hope the story continues and there’s a BIG highlight to come.

    After his hip injury, he just wasnt the same.
    But since he's been on the brown he's looking so much like his old self.
    After we won SB47 we didnt have the cap space to franchise tag joe flacco, so we gave him a contract we couldnt afford at all, and flacco wasnt the only one who won a superbowl, superbowl winners want superbowl contracts, and since we could franchise tag joe, we had a lot of guys leave because we couldnt pay them what they wanted. At the same time ray was retiring and reed left because he didnt wanna be on the ravens without ray, same with suggs, he left and went to AZ, along with pretty much 60-70% of that superbowl team.
    And after that joe got the hip injury that made him a statue in the pocket. So that superbowl cost us a massive rebuild which is why it's taken us so long to right the ship. After 2019 we literally had everything we needed except roquan, hamilton, a good offensive coordinator, and a good defensive coordinator.
    That's why the Ravens were willing to let lamar walk before they gave him a crazy contract, we already did that and 10 seasons of not being good enough was the real price.
    Im so happy for flacco though, i remember the day we signed him, i was 14. We won superbowl 47 when i was 19, after losing to the steelers in the afc championship, and then beating the patriots basically and having the win snatched from us from lee evans dropping a TD that hit him right in the hands and the cundiff missing a 40 yarder.. we robbed ourselves in the 2012 playoffs.
    When we came back in the 2012 regular season it was like the 2011 season never ended for us and once we got to the playoffs, we werent leaving without that chip. It was personal for us that season for sure.

    As a life long browns fan- for any ravens fan reading- this is Everything for Cleveland. Not even just the balls to the wall performance- but the story.
    To every team in recent years, hes been an underdog, a third stringer, honestly the last option- and truthfully, he never deserved it.
    I hope he takes Cleveland all the way, and if he succeeds,
    He’ll have statues. Maybe even golden statues in Cleveland.
    God speed

    lived in maryland as a kid. Ravens joe flacco jersey was my first football jersey ever... Grew up and have moved everywehere around east coast and midwest and ended up loving cleveland. Seeing Joe Flacco go off on the browns is the best thing ever. I really hope we get a shot at some fun playoff game(s)!!!

    i’m a lifelong ravens fan and i absolutely adore joe flacco with every fiber of my body. he was genuinely my fav qb of that era and i would constantly get clowned by ppl when i would say he was elite. his sb fr solidified him as my goat bc he beat all the chad qbs at the time. i hope he takes the browns to the cafe championship game where he can bow out to let his heir lamar take the ravens to their 3rd super bowl. unless he summons january joe, then we’re doomed

    • @hoogabooga290
      @hoogabooga290 5 месяцев назад

      Yes! I am also a Ravens fan and I genuinely am fearful of seeing Flacco (and the browns defense) in the playoffs. If that were to happen, I would still want Flacco to play really well but the Browns lose on a game winning drive by Lamar, missed kick, or some other situation outside of Flacco's control. But if the playoff spotlight continues to be too much for Lamar, I will for sure be rooting for the Flacco to go all the way.
