Having him mimic the panels was a fantastic way of showing off the positives and shortcomings of the figure while doubling over as a historical overview of Ditko-era Spidey.
As a more newer reader of Spider-Man. Reading the Ditko era of Spider-Man has to be one of my favorite comics runs I’ve read in awhile. As for this figure now reading the comic run that the figure is based on, I’d argue he’s probably the best Ditko spidey figure around
I really love the way you actually talk about the comics that inspired the figure and even recreates some poses. As someone that does that a lot in my own display, I really appreciate the effort.
Steve ditko was the greatest artist of all time. I still remember on how sad I was when I heard about his death but he did give us a good example on how spiderman should actually be adapted
This figure looks amazing, the sheer amount of accessories it comes with allows u to recreate so many scenes, the possibilities are literally endless! Great review!
Ditko's art of Spidey is some of my favourite, he goes from a scrawny creepy looking spider-themed "hero" into eventually a proper built super hero which even sort of represents his arc during that era.
I love how you recreate the comic panels with the figures. That's always something I try to do with mine. I just recently did that with the original Secret Wars cover.
Definitely the most Ditko-esque Spider-Man figure to date. Almost jumps right off the panel. Best review I've seen of it so far as well. Love the way it was also a review of ASM Annual #1. Very entertaining and informative.
That annual always brings back so many memories. In elementary school there was a collection reprint 60’s Spidey comics in the library. I used to love checking the annual out just for the character art pages.
This figure is so insanely cool, I have a soft spot for Ditko era Spidey and there aren't many good figures of that specific look. I would go crazy if I won this!!
This figure has such a good presence to it. I remember being 10 and getting a collection of the first 15 issues + AF15 from the library by my grandma's as a kid and loving every single issue despite the aged writing. Truly timeless
Hey carbon, I’ve been a fan for so long and tried my hand at a few other give aways. I am an avid comic and figure collector and for a long time, I’m Glad I found someone who loves ditko as much as I do. Seeing this figure feels like a true collectors dream, I’d love to have this guy in my collection, he’s been someone I’ve been looking at so much and I’d love to have him as a first ever import, I hope you have a good day carbon, see ya around!
This figure is so clean. Ditko’s Spider-Man has always been one of my favorites. Webbed wings would’ve been cool too, I always like that about spiderman. Great figure 10/10
This figure is truly one of the few that truly brings out Ditko’s awesome design of Spidey. The retro look really makes one feel nostalgic, even if they’re not from the era. 😂
Making this figure represent the ditko era allows collectors to pull off some amazing poses (just like the amazing poses we saw in the video) based on the comics
Blown away by your review Your attention to detail and passion shines through in every frame. It makes me feel like I'm holding it myself. Keep up the fantastic work your channel is a treasure trove for fellow collectors. We need more Spider-Man figs in this style
the ditko style has such a softspot so me that seeing it brought to life is such a treat honestly, not a single modern suit has managed to top it for me (ok, maybe the ITSV one but that's it)
This is easily the most comprehensive review of this figure out there, from somebody with an undeniable grasp of comics history and how it relates to action figures. Fantastic!
It’s funny how a figure can make me feel so nostalgic for a Spidey era that I first read 4-5 years ago lol. Absolutely adore the Lee / Ditko / Romita era.
I really enjoy the format of reviewing figures while providing comic history. You don't just make me want more figures, you make me want to read more comics. Great job!
Oh, man… Spidey is my favorite comics character of all, and this looks like one heck of a figure of him. Hopefully… someday… I’ll have one of these on my shelf.
Nothing beats the Steve ditco Era of spidey art. I've tried to replicate the magic in some of my art but nothings gets close to how awesome his work was. And MAN this figure nails it!
I really love how you present the figures while giving us interesting history about the characters. I learn new things every time I watch your videos. Keep them coming!❤
Hi, you are my favorite figure youtuber. I've been looking for a classic Steve dicko, Spider-Man and trying to save up. You keep doing what you're doing. You're great , you mater , really hope you know that have a nice day.😊
Wow, What a clean figure! K'know, im not the biggest fan of Steve Ditko's spidey, but I can say this is absolutley the best version of his spidey we've gotten in figure form, and that green goblin figure? wow, would love to see that in an actuon figure review! Hell, I'd love to see you remaster your video about all the green goblin figures, great work dude!
Awesome review! This figure definitely gives off the Steve Ditko vibe. I honestly really like how you always integrate comic book history with your review. I am honestly a fan.
Ive always loved and admired Ditko for having the ability to present us a character and his surrounding in an endeering and effective way, marking the basis and over all ¨rules¨ to follow when representing who spider man is and what he stands for. Its a way of creating a character that mnages to still capture new audiences today, myself included when i was 6. Not to mention his artstyle, which has become one of my insprations when it comes to art.
Good stuff! I agree - Ditko was an old school master of atmosphere - he placed a kinda absurd cast of characters and created a world where they were perfectly in place - just a genius
giveaway aside (even tho I would love that figure) I still think ditkos art still absolutely holds up even after so much time there’s such a charm about his art that i think no one else has captured since especially in books like if this be my destiny that book has some of my favorite artwork ever published in a comic period
Steve Ditko definitely deserves more credit with his style, this figure really jumps off the comic page. It definitely could've used the web wings but i still think this fig is amazing. Would also love a review of the Green Goblin. If u do please have spidey and him next to each other. I just wanna see how they look, hopefully i win this giveaway!
i like how in this review you didnt just review the figure you also spoke about one of the storys that this spidey appears in and also explained the accesories! great video as always
This figure is definitely one of the best looking Spider-Man figures that we have gotten. It perfectly captures the Ditko style with its headsculpts and accessories. I do wish that the articulation was better. Great review as always!
I fell out of love with mezco for a while due to their increasingly high prices and the customer service, but this figure is impossible to ignore.. Match it up with Goblin and it becomes a very special duo. Give props where it's deserved. Mezco have done well with these. Nice Review.
Amazing figure! I love how it captures that Ditko look, the shape of the lenses, the front Spider logo! It takes me back to reading those issues for the first time :D Also great review, choosing to talk about annual #1 made it even more nostalgic
Your knowledge always has me astounded, and I love just listening to you talking about the background of each item and / or character! Thanks for everything you do my man!
My daughter and I have been watching through the 90s animated series, and watching her fall in love with Spidey the way I always have has been amazing.
This has gotta be one of the coolest spidey figures I've ever seen. ignoring all the minor flaws such as the ankle articulation back logo and what not, this might be the best classic spidey in my opinion
I have been contemplating getting this figure so hard. My grandfather has some Spidey comics from this era that was passed down to me and I can't help but feel super nostalgic for this figure. It would be really awesome if they made this like a series of different spidey figures based off of different comic artists styles, Bagley, McFarlane, Ross etc! Great video as always Carbon, love watching your videos on my lunch time.
@@CarbonScoring of course! As a huge comic book fan and artist, as well as collector I love your videos and all the amazing comic book knowledge I gain from them so Thanks for your awesome content!
I really enjoyed seeing some of the Spider-Man artwork, I'm not very familiar with the comics but I love the style, and the figure captures it very well!
This figure definitly potrays Ditkos Spider-Man really well even if some parts of it are lacking. Im also exited to see what types of thumbnails you'll make with him!
A beautiful figure of one of the most iconic if not the most iconic looks of one of the most popular superhero’s out there. I love the web effects. Something we don’t see much of anymore
I also really liked how Ditko drew spider-man especially the eyes those are definitely my favorite part they looked almost menacing at times but he had the bright colors to balance out those eyes so he still looked friendly
Ever since this was announced I've been looking forward to it, I love Spidey like few things in life and the early Ditko and Romita art is my favorite look for him (maybe due to growing up reading those first issues after watching the Raimi movies) I'm really glad the figure didn't disappoint, cant wait to save up enough to add him to the collection!
This is such an awesome channel a figure review with history and commentary this makes me never wanna go back to other reviews lol this is great content

Thanks - I was kinda proud of that idea myself!
It feels like this figure was made for Carbon Scoring
for real
Yep
That figure is a great tribute to Ditko himself!, You've done an excellent job replicating those iconic splash pages too!
As a more newer reader of Spider-Man. Reading the Ditko era of Spider-Man has to be one of my favorite comics runs I’ve read in awhile. As for this figure now reading the comic run that the figure is based on, I’d argue he’s probably the best Ditko spidey figure around
Ditko's Spidey will always be one of if not my favorite look for the character, and this figure is such a good portrayal of it
I really love the way you actually talk about the comics that inspired the figure and even recreates some poses. As someone that does that a lot in my own display, I really appreciate the effort.
Thanks, Leonardo - I try to bring a little something extra to my reviews! Plus, I love that comic history!
Steve ditko was the greatest artist of all time. I still remember on how sad I was when I heard about his death but he did give us a good example on how spiderman should actually be adapted
Steve was absolutely revolutionary. Spider man is my favorite hero and this was a great review. You did Steve justice❤❤
This is why I like Carbon Scoring! That's the review I was waiting for. The man knows his comic history and how to appreciate a classic tribute.
Much appreciated! I promise to keep these type of reviews coming!
I love this spider man style

Oh man! That is awesome! I’d love to see it!
Best representation of a Diko Spider-Man figure 😭 love the posing on it the cloth makes it seem so real especially the wrinkles
Yes, and it wrinkles, but stays tight - like real clothing!
This figure is sick. It’s cool that they released a goblin to go along with it. Hope they do more villains!
Definitely the most Ditko-esque Spider-Man figure to date. Almost jumps right off the panel. Best review I've seen of it so far as well. Love the way it was also a review of ASM Annual #1. Very entertaining and informative.
Thanks for watching! I try to do more than straight reviews!
The Ditko era definitely deserves more adaptations and credit for Spidey's history, i hope the next show can lean into that classic era more.
I would love it more if it did!
Me too

The comic books of spider man never get old no matter what era, they’re all equally good . P.S my birthday’s this month
This figure is so clean. Ditko’s Spider-Man has always been one of my favorites. Webbed wings would’ve been cool too, I always like that about spiderman. Great figure 10/10
I don't get why they didn't take advantage of having a cloth suit and do the webwings.
This figure is truly one of the few that truly brings out Ditko’s awesome design of Spidey. The retro look really makes one feel nostalgic, even if they’re not from the era. 😂
The memories 🕷
Making this figure represent the ditko era allows collectors to pull off some amazing poses (just like the amazing poses we saw in the video) based on the comics
This is such a cool figure Mezco usually changes the design a little bit but this looks identical to the comics
It does! They have been more traditional with these silver age figures
Yeah I recently got the mezco tiger strip Wolverine and it is one of my favorites

Your probably one of few to actually cover the comic book history with figures that why your reviews just always hit different
Thanks! I try to share decades of comic reading knowledge in every video
Great figure, these have come a long way since the one's I used to collect as a kid
If I'm playing a round of Marvel comics strip trivia with some friends, I'm picking Carbon Scoring Tre for my team first.
I can’t lie - I would be a good pick…
All of the accessories make this figure so much better
Obligatory comment to try get the figure for free.

The Ditko Era Spider-Man Design can not be matched. It's just so stunning and perfect, and I just want that figure so bad!!! 😅😂

Love Ditko's Spidey, especially the mask with the tight web pattern and narrow eyes with thick black borders. Thanks for letting us know about this.
Love the look of the mask on this figure. I think the spider tracker is also a nice touch that they included.
Spider-Tracer for the win!
I think one of the best things about the Ditko run is how he improves his art issue by issue, it's just amazing

Well said!
Having read the early Ditko era of Spider-Man recently, its just so cool to see the art of Ditko jump off the page and into figure form.
The accessories that come with this figure are amazing!!! Those headsculpts are good, especially the Ditko inspired one.
