  • This is amazing. It was during Please Come Home For Christmas in her Christmas special: Kelly Clarkson's cautionary Christmas Music Tale yesterday on NBC.
    Thanks to lightningshock12 for discovering it :)

    She is simply a stunning vocalist. So underrated. To still be belting those notes at her age (and while pregnant) is nothing short of amazing.

    That 1st G#5 is probably my favourite one she's produced so far. That was an excellent G#5. This compiled with the other exceptionally good ones really gives these other singers' "high notes" a run for their money.

    Probably her best G#5 in a long time. Her upper belting sounds so nice and resonant here

      she has lightened up her tone. dropping some of that weight which is giving her more ease when she does go for these higher belts. im loving it as well :-)

    It's G#5-A5!
    Did anybody noticed how it literally sounded like Demi's first attempt at Confident's Bb5? lol. it was a G#5-A5 too. and people thought it was a Bb5!
    But Godly Clarkson is just UNBEATABLE

      Kelly was a huge influence for Demi

    • @beynotes868
      @beynotes868 Год назад

      Demi's was a very flat Bb5, it was sharper than A5 and the A note doesn't fit the key, and she was going for Bb5 which is the right note.

      have you watched her miracle on broadway performances? so amazing

    • @lightningshock12
      @lightningshock12 9 лет назад +1

      I watched all of it. She's hilarious haha. I wasn't thrilled about all of the performances. I did, however, enjoy WIR. She did that song very well. You could tell Kelly's yet to make a full recovery. Some of the notes she normally hit with ease were tense & difficult and it scared me. I hope pregnancy hasn't substantially damaged her vocal ability. She sounded so different there and I was frightened.

    • @agators212
      @agators212 9 лет назад +1

      She mainly struggled on the upper end of her belting range. I don't think she hit anything above F#5. But the rest of her belting was still amazing. Especially WIR, my favorite performance. But if you compare her Eb5 in holy night to the one right after idol it was miles better

    • @lightningshock12
      @lightningshock12 9 лет назад +1

      Really? I thought that Eb5 was better than the one she did during this concert. Everything above Eb5 was just pinched sounding. And her mix wasn't as tight as it normally is. I guess that's the result of a lengthy singing hiatus as well as pregnancy.

    • @agators212
      @agators212 9 лет назад

      well, imo i think her voice sounded overall really good just not anything above F5. but i don't think she hit too many notes above that. she still seems like she is taking her time getting back into top vocal shape. but the concert as a whole was a lot better than her first performances right after she gave birth.

    Perfectly mixed and resonant. However, it's G#5, not Bb5. :) She stretched it out a bit longer than the second one that you compared it to. That's the only difference.

      Eek I knew it was lower than a Bb5, but I went with my friend's assumption. Still worth making a video about it. Can i just note that the girl is vomiting 12 times a day.

      +Music Craft (haha 1 year late) she was actually pregnant in the first one by about a week (October 31st is when it was taped and she was pregnant around her wedding day but she didn't know) but it aired on December 11th when she was 11 weeks pregnant) and the second one she clearly knew she was pregnant (it was late November) so I'd say she was more sick on the second than the first.

    It kills me when I see people saying that Christina Aguilera is the best singer in pop music right now when Kelly is clearly a much better singer. Christina is so so so so out of control. Half the time she tries to hit big notes, her voice cracks and she just squawks. She's too inconsistent to be compared to people like Celine Dion and Mariah Carey. Simon Cowell said to Kelly while she was on American Idol that he thought she was just as good as CD and MC and I think that if there's anyone in music today that could hang with them, it's Kelly.

    • @AfxMj
      @AfxMj 8 лет назад +6

      +razrv3lc Christina Aguilera, bless her heart, her singing REMINDS ME OF A DRUNK DRIVER. All over the f*cking road. She's a more than decent songwriter though. I loved those tracks "Hurt" and "Can't Hold Us Down." She's been underappreciated as a writer, unjustly criticized for some of her racier videos and artistic moments, and deserves more recognition as a writing talent from fans and the press.
      Xtina's vocal though? Holy shit- learn to stay in your lane, please! Girl, you have a *nice* instrument (read: very decent when used properly), but YOU ARE ALL OVER THE F----NG ROAD with it and you ruin so many songs with sh*tty runs that sound like knives in my ear.
      (TL;DR: Xtina: Do my ears a solid and leave the runs to the pros like Mariah and Kelly and Adele who can richly and meaningfully emote while showcasing vocal acrobatics that make artistic sense within the song and are pleasing to the ear and are controlled, as opposed to SHOT HAPHAZARDLY OUT OF A DRUNKEN CANON OF ACOUSTIC DOOM. Stop, please, dear Christina, TRYING TO SHOW OFF with notes and runs that are out of your depth and out of a range where you have enough control behind them so that they are recklessly spewed out and all pitchy and flat and sharp and all over the map and lacking any connection to the purported emotions or sentiments of the song.
      Christina Aguilera, you are gorgeous as hell - well, at least that seems to be the consensus of most people and I don't care to dispute it - and you are smart, too - evidence is abundant, taken from your songwriting and interviews - BUT YOU LOOK RIDICULOUS when you "sing" like that. And there was even that time where you bombed the lyrics of a national song and it saved you from people talking about how you bombed the vocal, too. Granted, this godforsaken circus show might fool a lot of sorry ass people with Sorry Ass Ears. But damn, you really hurt my ears, Christina. And it hurts my feelings that you don't seem to care. You should care! You Are "A Artiss". And you sure as hell are not fooling me.
      My EARS ARE NOW HURTING just having thought about all the punishment they've taken with you, dear Christina, behind a mic. Now I must cope by listening to more Adele and Kelly (Clarkson, obviously) and Mariah. And maybe some Pink, Janis, and Aretha for good measure. Maybe throw some Ani Difranco and Patty Griffin and Alanis up in there. Maybe some Etta Fitzgerald and Alicia Keys. Maybe some Florence and some Sia. And some Lady Gaga, too. And heck, for good measure, why not some Stevie Nicks and Julie Andrews and Helen Reddy and Bette Midler and Barbra Streisand. Some Dolly Parton and Trisha Yearwood and some Reba McEntire and some Whitney and Celine...Karen Fairchild...and pretty much all the Disney Princesses...(now realizing this is an endless list...)
      Those artists stay in their lane and they kill it every time. But not some Xtina Aguilera. Not unless it's THE ALBUM VERSION of Beautiful, Hurt, or Can't Hold Us Down, or maybe some Ain't No Other Man. Because those songs are AMAZING and the album versions are Damn Near Perfection. Otherwise, my ears just can't bear to witness such sweet, innocent notes - notes who have never done anything but love me and love my ears and set my soul on fire and send my spirits soaring - dying such a gruesome death when they should be treated with greater respect, consensually, and not forced against their will. Just sayin. )
